I just wanted to say a big thankyou to all those people who have donated to the site since it came back up.
If I used the money to purchase game time combined it would cover a 12 month subscription! But I will actually use it to purchase a license for some software I have been abusing a trial version of for the past year -- my computer still thinks it's March 2005 
To put this into context, in the past 3 days you guys have donated almost as much as I have ever recieved in the prior two years running the site! I am truly grateful.

A change is coming .. the Dread Tomax has arrived in the Rogue Isles this very day. Convalescent's reign as the figurehead of NoFuture are numbered. I'm so pleased to finally have come up with a name for Red's Nemesis, I've created 3 mind/Energy Dominators since the turn of the year but were not happy with any of the previous names I tried.

I guess that means only 22% of the people that vote care about the Story of the City. I always reference it when ever I think I found another link to the backroom dealings in the City/Isles.
For me the vidiotmaps website is a one and done visit, but I guess that is because my brain is wonderful at storying information that is compeletly useless in real life.

I just thought I would update you all, as Tomax probably will not appear until after the World Cup is over. He confirmed that the server was up and pingable, but that it was not serving webpages. He did say he was going to take a look at it, but considering I have not seen him in game I would not hold your breath. I know he was planning on watching every World Cup game possible, so who knows when he'll get a chance to look at it. He probably just needs to restart the services or simply just reboot the machine.
Shame it had to happen during the couple weeks, every four years he disapears from the face of the Earth.

We're having rather extreme weather in the UK at the moment, 28 degrees yesterday at one point. We believe that the place hosting the site just can't cope with it (it's a "budget" place), travelling up tomorrow to looksee. It may be a case that we need to move it to a new (more expensive site) that can cope with what looks like being a very hot summer over here.
We already have drought orders in place in the South of England ... which is kind of funny for a country surrounded by water if you ask me!
Edit: By the way, the other theory is the site was attacked. I'm not sure which of these possibilities is worse to be honest -- will have much better idea what's going on tomorrow evening.

I must have done something really evil in a past life on the internet to deserve this run of luck. At least the World Cup is over now so I have the time to look into things and sort them out once and for all.
Well, the site's back again and for anyone interested I've made available for download the first version of my Character Planner -- note it is a very bare bones version and is in no way optimised for performance at the moment so I'm not sure how well it would work for anyone with a particularly slow machine.
I was playing around with the faction pages and created this Rogues' gallery. It reminded me how cool this game truely is seeing all those villains together, realising the depth and variety of the NPC's in-game.
A new version of my hero planner is now available. A bit later than planned, but with more functionality than expected at this point.
