My guess is that it was "praetorian rikti" not the rikit we know and "love".

[/ QUOTE ]
You never know, because the Ritki are mutated humans that are looking for fresh organs. It is not so hard to believe that the Ritki are multi-dimensional invaders. I think it is cool that the Ritki could have threatened Prartorian Earth and was repelled by Tyrant. It also would be cool if the Ritki invaded 5th Column um... Counsel Earth, and have Reichman defeat them. That would make them 3 dimensional losers.

[/ QUOTE ] Rikti are aliens, they have their oun planet and aren't mutated in any way. It's the Lost you're thinking of that mutate into deformed versios of Rikti.

A thousand years ago, everyone knew as a fact that the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, they knew it was flat. Fifteen minutes ago, you knew the Rikti were not from it. Imagine what you'll "know" tomorrow.

Mother Mayhem has shown no signs of wanting her old body back.

More information on the Ritki and there connection to Preatorian Earth can be found in the upcoming book Web of Achonos. It will be written by Robert Weinberg and available this fall.

On Praetorian Earth, Mother Mayhem was forced by Tyrant to push her powers in order to help defeat the Rikti. When she realized she was burning out she imposed her will on a fledgling super called Northern Light. The will of Mother Mayhem keeps Northern Light prisoner within her own body. Mother Mayhem has shown no signs of wanting her old body back.

Is this information (along with similar bits of backstory) somewhere in the game or on the CoH website? If not, it'd definately be nice to see it

OK I have Aurora Borealis and Sister Psyche on my site. And I still have Mother Mayhem.

Now is Mother Mayhem still the Aurora Borealis/old Sister Psyche look-a-like or is their a new Mother Mayhem that looks like the new Sister Psyche

Either way I need a picture of the AV that looks like the new Sister Psyche and I need the name of the other AV.

I'm assumeing Mother Mayhem will look like the new Sister Psyche and there will be a new AV that will look like Aurora Borealis

This is kinda confusing I'm hoping the visuals will help people figure out who I'm talking about.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just so we're clear, you know that the lady in green is the ORIGINAL Sister Psyche, and that Aurora was the "new' SP for a while, yes?

This seems like a good place as any to ask...
Why is there a difference between how Back Alley Brawler looks in-game than the one represented in game posters, ads, and the comic book?

To be specific, in-game he has this spikey hair, a full visor, tanktop, and especially...looks quite caucasian.
On the other hand, other documentation shows dreads, a monacle, fatugues, and is definately black.

What's up with that?

[/ QUOTE ] Yes I know, I was refering to game apperence rather than backstory. Same thing as refering to Star Trek Enterprise as the new Star Trek even though it takes place 100 years before Kirk or calling Star Wars episode 4 the first movie, it was made first but technicly Episode 1 is the first movie.

On another subject, I allso wondered why Backally Brawler said he was tired of stading in "Atlas Park" giving advice to new heroes when he's stationed in Galaxy City not Atlas Park. The costume thing could be a simple matter of a different costume. We all get 4 costumes, what you don't think the Devs would allso give themselfs different costumes? It's just the changing from black to white that's confusing. Personally I like him better as a black man as there aren't alot of them around, pluse his real name is Michael White.

This has *very* interesting implications- before now, I'd always assumed there was no Rikti invasion in Praetorian Earth, simply because I'd assumed the circumstances that provoked the one in the "Prime" universe simply weren't there.

Though this explains why the Praetorians haven't laid seige to us with legions of supervillians, rather have suplimented thier forces with minion, lieutenant and boss-ranked forces: They, too, had suffered massive attrition in their ranks of super-powered beings.

Hmmm. One wonders if *this* Rikti Invasion was a reaction to Praetorian agression, or something?

geez, and I thought sorting out the Praetorian Earth histories was confusing..now the rikti have invaded it? I guess that could make sense, but the story would be completely skewed....possibly...here's my take

(Raises Nerd level to a dangerous level)

Disclaimer: may contain spoilers that are easily found on the website under History

In Prime Earth, Back Alley Brawler discovered the drug Superadyne in a drug bust, then went on a crusade to remove the drug through taking out the source. The source was then traced back to a team of scientists (Always suspected Crey, though never proven to me). At this point Webb leaves the Phalanx to use the information found in the lab to break the dimensional barrier, opens the Portal Corp, visits the Rikti Homeworld, has a NICE CHAT with them, then never visits again. Later on then of course the invasion happens and old files are dug up that find the knowledge of what homeworld they were from and what they are.

OK so then Marauder (BAB) wasn't interested in busting thugs for drugs in Praetorian Earth, and Superadyne is now Fixadyne, and Dominatrix has one wierd fetish. The only way it would work the same for the invasion would be the crazy scientists make it again, sell it amongst the Praetorian AV's (particularly Marauder and Dominatrix) Praetorian Webb stumbles on the idea, Tyrant instead of discouraging like States did, forces him to research, and discover Portal Technology.Praetorian Portal Corp. would be a dangerous thing, and then possibly they could have stumbled upon the Rikti homeworld after we had, and left the bad impression that only Praetorians can. And since the Praetorians look so similar to us, the Rikti probably got offended, made their own technology, and invaded US because they thought we were the visitors both times.

Ultimately, after the Rikti realize that we weren't the invaders, they invade Praetorian Earth. However since most of their numbers were lost fighting Prime Earth, and they never like to back down from a fight regardless of whether or not they were wrong to begin with, their numbers for fighting Praetorian Earth weren't as much, and while it was still devastating for the Praetorians, the Rikti on Praetorian Earth would have been completely erradicated.

Meanwhile, the few surviving Rikti on our earth take some chemicals to the {deleted for spoilers not found in Website History}

(turns Nerd level back down to normal)

so it could be possible the rikti invaded, but I still think it's a small stretch of my imagination that they would have...especially to have praetorian rikti...hell they'd be good and friendly to us!

I don't think Praetorian Rikti and Primal Rikti are the same both dimentions. I mean I disagree that the Rikti would come to Primal Earth thinking we were the Praetorians. There must allso be Primal Rikti and Praetorian Rikti.

Wheather or not the Praetorian Rikti were good or evil doesn't really matter. If they were good Tyrant would want them dead and if they were evil just like our Rikti then Tyrant would still want them dead because Tyrant wants to be ruler of everything and the Rikti Invasion would threten his ruel over everything.

Not only that but I belive Statesman would have originally tryed to make peace with the Rikti before realizing they weren't friendly while Tyrant is more of a shoot first ask questions later type of guy.

True, you bring up some good points. as for States wanting to make peace vs. Tyrant, that entity was never involved in the rikti expedition. However this isn't to say that the Praetorian Rikti expedition to Praetorian Rikti homeworld would be more of an invasion and the Praetorian Rikti invasion on Praetorian Earth would have been a coutnerstrike. I only hypothesize off of what I've learned in-game, and by reading the history on the website.
