Kudos to the art team - Lou's Garage
I am more apt to believe he found what you said funny for the misconception it implies.

Someone named Comfort decided not to leave up to word in the dictionary but how it is known in prison slang.

Aww.. someone's getting angry over a little contructive criticism?
Comfort's next gaming project: City of Trolls.

And that's just what he likes. Good little players who pay their $15 and don't ask questions about where the missing half of the game is or why it takes so long to do such simple things.

I would've never guessed Freakshow had an insult to throw in. The pot calling the kettle black.
You Do realize the more you talk, the more everyone in the world considers you a fool right?
I mean, I'm just asking to be asking this, because I really wonder if you realize this.
Some people can be blind to everyone's perceptions about them, or when they are just digging deeper into the bowels of stupidity.
But...you do know this, right?

Birthday Party Invitation: SENT!
Petty little man, go back to doing mods with the Unreal engine if thats what gets you off. Rage against the machine, Mr. Moore. I'm sure the WoW people will be DELIGHTED to have you in their community.
God knows we don't want you.
Flame on flamer.
I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents about my fascination with the Frostfire mission.
Its COOL!
I can spend hours just sliding around on the ice on that thing! My controler got the mission at level 12 and level 20 I still have not completed it, furthermore I dont intend to ever complete it just so I can run back in and slide around for a break from all the mindless slaughter.
Kudos on the ice affects and I for one would love to see more of it on upcoming missions.
You don't even know me, so I don't think you can say that without making some pretty big assumptions (such as my love for Unreal Mods... I don't even play Unreal).
And I'm sure your tune would change if I was powerleveling you or some such other helpful activity in game. So Freakshow, why don't you chill, because I'm sure CuppaJo's already had her finger on the thread lock before you showed up to troll along.
Oh come now. You might be able to pull that with other poster and players but I am not naive on how this works.
I know what it takes to do this. Don't mistake me for a fool because I don't agree with you. You have stated multiple times that you can do this better. Well answer me this.
What credentials do you have? What Engines have you developed on? What type of net code do you prefer? Have you submitted MODs on games before? Have you worked for a game company in a developer capacity? What do you own currently in design software that allows you to do this?
I am not calling you a liar, far from it. I do call into question your over all understanding of how it works is rather partial. You have a small perspective on industry, if you have a talent for this than please expand on it and get good at it. You cannot facilitate any measure of talent by calling into question an established games content and design and progress forward with your own.

Heck, I'll even chip in money to pay the monthly fees if he'll lend his alleged expertise and insight to SWG instead. A good chunk of the community is already delusional, he'd fit right in.
Well, I never looked at it like that before, Comfort...
I guess you win! Congratulations!
Can I have your stuff?

Actually, If I had stuff to give, yes.
Sadly 'stuff' has yet to be implemented in CoH.
I guess I will log on before my account expires and give you all of my inspirations if you like.
In an attempt (doomed, no doubt) to get this thread off the question of programming prowess, I'd also like to compliment the sound team on the music in Brickstown & Founders' Falls. Moody jazz riffs in Brickstown; an almost church-like sequence for the area around the plaza in FF. Very nice!
I already told you about my experiences in editing this game and gave you a rough idea of how much time it took.
I think the person you should be questioning is Statesman. Ask him about his programming experience, how much has he done to be able to post his 'LOL'. Last I checked that wasn't his line of business at all, he just runs things.
And maybe you could ask him if he is laughing at me or laughing at you. In true Statesman form, he said something, but did it really mean anything?
Comfort, if you cancelled, why are you still here?
Furthermore, why are you worried that States will ban your account if you've already cancelled?
EDIT: Also, you DID say that you could create the FrostFire or Lous garage in less than 10 minutes, models included.

[/ QUOTE ] I too like the music in Bricks, just to the east of the Train terminal right ? I also liked the nice, but unfortunately short "piano solo" in the Chantry section of Firebase Zulu.
I clicked this thread on a lark... I haven't been in-game long enough to even know what's new art and what's not... but lemme say this: I scrolled through every page of this thread, and, at the beginning, I had a point, something I wanted to add... but by the time I got to the end of the thread, the only thing I had left to post was this:
It is young hot-heads like Comfort who, regardless of the nature of their argument, use vitriol and deliberately rude phrasing to alienate others on the board that illustrate EVERYTHING that is wrong currently with MMORPGS. I have posted it before and I will post it again: You use phraseology on the board that would get you kicked in the teeth in real life because you are safe behind your faceless IP Address. Let's call it what it is: cowardice. Who can care what you have to say? You behave like a rude lout. Learn to communicate.

Please don't skirt the questions.
I know Statesman's background. This is his first game, however it is not the first for the entire team. I am sure that the last 4 years have given Statesman enough knowledge to be able to get a laugh out of your comments. I am sure he has a keen understanding of the process of adding content and changing exisiting content.
You are quoting unrealistic times and boasting about talents we only have your word on. You will excuse me if I feel Statesman was LOLing at your comment.

We're going to be dipping into missions of ALL levels and improving the art, AI, etc. with every Expansion. There's a bunch in Expansion 3.
[/ QUOTE ]
Very cool. This is something I love about this game. I do not find the lower levels boring at all. I find my self deciding not to try all the different AT right away just so I can save one of my eight slot for a new toon when new lower level stuff is added

Yes... I think it's The Crescent in Brickstown. (The Ziggurat is also good.) I've not been to Firebase Zulu yet.
Oh... & Steel Pier in Independence Port. Not really a tune, just drums & some backup percussion, very effective.

Content is details like Lou's Garage, one small example. Frostfire's mission is another. Still these are only minor graphics and model changes, something I myself can do to this game in less than ten minutes with Adobe Photoshop.

LOL.

I just love the way Statesman can speak volumes in as few words as possible. I've seen him silence people's doubts and fears with a single word, think this is the first time I've seen him sum up his thoughts with an acronym.
[/ QUOTE ]
He's laughing because I'm right, but he also knows I don't have any way to prove to you how little it actually takes for him to create a new level, a new mob, or any of this so called content. And if I do give away any of those details, well then he has to by the rules ban my account permenantly and take all of whatever I've created for his own, under the EULA. He's laughing at you, because you'll go right on believing everything he says is 100% accurate and true, and that it took months and months for them to come up with putting pentegrams on the walls and adding a fire effect.
