Thats just wrong, man! Hilarious, but oh so wrong... 
New threat? From the fifth column? Anyone here ever see the Keystone Cops? That's what the 5th column reminds me of after you get to 20th level and up. They're wacky sure, and good to cut your teeth on as a young hero, but as a credible threat to a child's Pez dispenser, let alone world safety, they are sadly lacking.
Ok, they have one tough leader type. Maybe they'll get another, but when all the rest are well-known to be every heroe's favorite punchign bags because they are so easy, well, pardon me if I'm not exactly quaking in my boots at this new "threat" to our fair city.
On the plus side, this is great news. If the worst threat is a bunch of fifth column guys showing up our city is in good shape.

Here's a theory. There may be an internal power struggle going on or a shift in leadership within the 5th Column. They may also be planning for a new offensive (think Rularru invasion style activity).
It may be time for me to implement an idea for a hero and new SG to combat this new threat...

Never thought of that, they do look like Keystone cops! That reminds me of doing a Nemesis mission once, we had a lowbie SK'ed and he hadn't seen the Nemesis gunmen before and he said it was like fighting a high school marching band.

Not to be an @$$ (well, maybe) But I downloaded this patch, and come to find this 16 page thread that I'm too lazy to look through, what exactly did this "event patch" do? I've been all over the lowbie zones, all the way up to Bricks, but I don't see anything worth noting. What's going on?

Its just a patch from test center thats all, the event hasn't actually happened yet.
Here is my though: All 5th column soldiers were adjusted and given powers by the guy that made frostfire in Hallows.
Imagine a level 5 nacht soldier who can throw sinks at you and a level 5 nebel soldier with full auto..... Uberoffizicer has 5x the hp and can summon imps and jack frost now.

Here are some of my ideas:
Could the fact that some of the 5th are happy to be arrested, just be due to the fact that they are afraid of an upcoming invasion. I am sure that some people in the armed forces today signed up for other reasons like college and such, would do anything of getting out of a rotation to the desert. Or a march straight into a city filled with Heroes waiting to use all sorts of painful powers on them. I am sure the boys that stormed the beach at Normandy wouldn't mind a ticket off those landing craft.
How cool would a giant invasion launched from Zepplins be? Hordes of Nazi troopers with jetpacks or parachutes dropping from the sky. Tanks as previously mentioned would be awesome too. Or even an amphibious assault launched from Independence Port or Talos Island. Hundreds of 5th column soldiers storming the beaches.
I can't wait, I was evacuated to middle of nowhere Georgia for Hurricane Ivan for the last one.

Misspellings and improper use of grammar are not an "evolution" of language, nor are they necessarily slang.
That said, making a post to do nothing more than point out said errors IS bad form, unless it is so bad that the post is unreadable.

Maybe not in your circle of friends but I run with many graph artists and DJ's, and misspellings are often used on purpose. Natzi may not be a purposeful misspelling but it doesn't deserve budd to interject and start talking about posessive nouns.
"Sup bro?" Misspelling and improper grammer, common phrase. "How you doin?".. the list goes on and on. Current English grammar is far removed from its predecessor. The Educational system may try to dictate what is "proper" grammar, but those of us talking amongst ourselves on the streets and in the workplaces rarely pay attention, hence the evolution is taking place.

What if the 5th is preparing for the Rularuu invasion by amassing more troops?
I'm going with the Axis invasion theory, the only issue I have is why would the 5th be "grateful" for being arrested if their counterparts are coming, I though they all craved Axis Amerika.

Might it be that someone in the 5th, possibly a new leader, has decided to convert the majority of the 5th ranks into these evil incarnations? That might explain why they are anxoius to get brought in. Why the bases popping up I wonder though...
