Teen body official statement?

If they ever implement teen bodies, they better have new sets of costumes that are not too revealing. No point having pedophiles enjoying themselves the wrong way while playing this game.

Considering a fair number of actual teenagers play the game, I dont think that would make them pedophiles per se. Anyways, an adult would be a pederast.
Regardless, I dont think it would take a huge amount of effort to swap to new bodies for existing characters. Going through and datamining for old badges was probably more work.

I didn't imply anything about who're the pedophiles.
Seems to me the most logical way to implement shape shifting is as part of your costumes. Just allow you to select your body type and size in the costume shop when you alter your costume. That way when you changed costumes, your shape would be changed as well. This would mean you could only shape shift once you had a second costume, or possibly like capes, only after completing some task, and only into available body styles and sizes. Of course that is pure speculation.

Besides, Statesman himself has said that the "teen" body isn't necessarily a teen, just someone who is more "lithe" than normal. (Normal for comic books, that is) There's no reason you couldn't choose one of those models and role play the character as an adult, especially if you made him or her six or seven feet tall.
Given that there are probably ALREADY hundreds if not thousands of players who are role playing teenagers, using the existing models, then the opposite is already true. And any one of us could be a pedophile if we gawk at a scantily clad heroine when her description says she's a teenager.
Since I don't feel like stepping into that particular snake pit, I'll just assume that skimpy costumes, whatever the age, are part of the genre, and not make any judgements based on it. Now, if somebody starts going around STALKING skantily clad teens, I'm going to be a little suspicious. 
I'm going to be suspicious if he's stalking players anyway, though.

It has? Hmmm. Not to my knowledge. Maybe a "yes, that's on the plate." But definitely not a "yeah it's in the next update."
But, aside from an Epic Archetype, I haven't alluded to anything in specific coming out this update (oh - and the SSOCS, but that might be delayed). So maybe we will have teens and shapeshifting in.
Or maybe not.

I'm all up for getting excited for the (near) future but when you don't even have a clue what the devs are talking about chill. I'm sure that we'll all find out in good time

It would seem a bit hypocritical, given that anime fans can get just as if not more twisted and deviant, but nobody criticises anime fandom by IT'S obsessive minority.
But hey, bashing on furries is trendy right now, so why shouldn't they be on the bandwagon?

A "pedophile" is sexually attracted to prepubescent children. When one is attracted to adolescents, one is a "hebephile". The word for a person who is sexually attracted to post-pubescents is "normal".
I would wager that the "teen" bodytype will be adolescent at the youngest, so pedophilia is not a word that would properly apply to those who find them sexually attractive.
Whether furry, teen, or whatever, there seem to be a disturbing number of people in this thread spending time actively worrying about other people's sexual fantasies. I suggest we all take an order of 'Don't spend so much time disapproving of other people'.

From what I've seen, it looks like they'll be able to be "lithed down" a bit.
By the way, I'm impressed that you dug up this old thread rather than start a new one. You should teach lessons.

from what i've seen you could be quite a bit skinyer then you can now...but you're still ripped so its not quite a teen body type...
and this has been said many many time...but i say it again....its very very hard to make a new body type in this game
each body needs animations for every attack in the game...then getting HIT by every attack in the game....then doggeing attacks....then attacking/getting attacked/doggeing wile moving and jumping....then getting/doing attacks and dogeing wile flying
and there are buffs as well that need animations
AND they only have one animator guy who is also doing all the other animations in the game
it could be awile

Yeah yeah, I caught it.
Not like he hasn't said it recently tho. Kinda disheartening that it was being delayed since september.
...so obviously new body types (teen/shapeshifting) aren't in issue 4. Anybody want to place odds on them being in issue 5? 6? Which means...early next year?
Well, maybe not quite that long - States said that they have two development teams (CoH & CoV), so the CoV release shouldn't push back I5...but still...for an alt-o-holic like myself, this is the thing I've been waiting for the longest. High level content? Meh. Of my ~30 characters, my highest is 26. Colliseum? Meh. Played it for about 10 minutes, lost interest. It's not getting me any cool new powers or costumes. New Archtypes sound like fun to play, but I know I'll never get to try a Kheldan - as a casual player the time investment to level always looses me in the mid-twenties (and that's in _every_ mmorpg...UO,EQ,AC etc. I've played em all and it's always the same).
More body types? The chance to design another 20 character concepts? I'm in!
So when do we get these?
Have any of you been on the test server to try out the body sliders? You can DO a teen body type.
