I can understand your aversion to mods,
[/ QUOTE ]
For the record I don't have an aversion to mods, just don't see their usefulness within CoX -
As far as I recall the moratorium on player mods was put in place soon after the little 'incident' with Marvel comics started.<ul type="square"> [*] Mods allowed players to breach Marvel copyright [*] Players wouldn't get punished NCSoft\Cryptic would as they allowed it on their servers[*] NCSoft\Cryptic ruled that modding was dissallowed.[/list]
Couple of other points;
IIRC, the PIGG reader that was downloadable WAS reverse engineered, therefore using it breached the EULA.
So what if WoW allows mods? Yeah it's the 800lb gorilla but it's a freak nontheless - it would almost certainly be as popular even if it didn't allow mods. Personally I always thought it was because the interface was so gorramed clunky that it needed players to work out what they wanted an implement it. CoX is much simpler to play and doesn't need such a complicated interface. -

EIn other words, unless you are so desperate to play, I would get yourself one of those VISA gift card things and use that, it'll be alot cheaper.

Amazon.co.uk sell 30 and 60 day time cards £7.65 and £17.99 respectively*. Given that a 90 day sub is $41.85, Twenty quid in change, if you can find a way to pay online then do so.
*All prices correct at time of going to press, your online experience may vary -
Whilst the spam has dropped considerably I still get a little (including E-mail) is it possible to have an address we can forward it to rather than filling out the petition?

Doorjam: in a constrained area like sewers or caves, the tank (or tank surrogate) prevents movement through a door (Caltrops and Burn Patches will do) while ranged units blaze away. "This is Sparta!"
[/ QUOTE ]
Tar Patch is also awesome at this, centred just through the door maximises area and can also do the job of pulling -

Super Reflexes. I cant see any strong synergies between SR and Spines, but they both work as long as you take the powers and slot them reasonably so they should give you a solid combination. Again to a degree the Recharge debuff will help SR as less swings means less chances for you to get snake eyes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Having just read this (how slow am I) and levelled a Spines\SR to 50 I'd say the synergy comes when avoiding a mobs Alpha when you wade in on full AE mode - although,as with DA, there's a lot of toggles to play with so the need for stamina increases

I agree with you, in part. But, there isn't just black and white. There are shades of gray as well. Sometimes a judgement call has to be made, and sometimes a judgement goes against, which really reeks, and sometimes it goes your way.

From my anecdotal evidence there's a heirachy of GMs. When I did the "Protect Babylon from the Wailers" mission first time round it didn't complete. Petitioned, got a GM within 10 mins. He tried moving the column around - nothing. He then called in another GM who, after scouring the map, gave me a mission complete. Either the first guy was still learning the job (everyone has to) or he didn't have the tools to do the job but had enough to recognise a problem.
Either way shouting and cussing at a GM will get you nowhere, like any other tech support team you call it's not their fault when things go wrong they're just the guys at the pointy end trying to do their job as best they can -
My little hint is to not ignore TP Foe. It's no longer the suicide button it was last year and is very practical, especially when slotted with range or accuracy. It's major advantages are that a) anyone can get it and b) You don't need line of sight, just target run behind the wall and activate.

Had a quick check and didn't see these two...
Negotiator badge > Fifth element. (paraphrased, must watch again)
Mercenarys:"Send in a negotiator or we shoot the hostages", Bruce Willis walks in, pulls gun, BANG!
Bystander: "where'd he learn to negotiate like that?"
And the first guy you meet in the Shadow Shard (not good with contact names), check his info. IIRC it's a Doctor Who reference to Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart

The rumor
[/ QUOTE ]
Key word there; rumor. All I have to say is that I'd be pretty pissed if I'm having costume options denied over a few sexual deviants.
But somehow.......I doubt that the devs are that petty.
[/ QUOTE ]
It would seem a bit hypocritical, given that anime fans can get just as if not more twisted and deviant, but nobody criticises anime fandom by IT'S obsessive minority.
But hey, bashing on furries is trendy right now, so why shouldn't they be on the bandwagon?
[/ QUOTE ]
Bah! I criticise and ridicule both
