I sent a bug report in for this 3 weeks ago. They still have not fixed it? Odd. There are about 8-10 barrels just hanging in mid air.

I was like to offer up my speculation to what this "special announcement" is all about. I think that monsters from some of the new zones in the Shadow Shard will be invading Paragon City sometime soon. Why do I think this? Go to the test server and look at Portal Corp. if you haven't already seen it...on test it looks more like a military facility, with guards and sandbag walls. To me, this says that something happens to cause Portal Corp. to be this way, and an invasion from an alternate dimension would do it.
Anyway, I can't wait to see what actually happens, it should be interesting.
The reason that Portal Corp has all those sandbags & razor wire is because it's now a Hazard Zone. That middle Portal Corp mission is the entrance to the 40+ Shadow Shard Hazard Zone.
To be on topic - I just hope that I'm online to witness/participate in whatever's planned. I hope we get more of a narrowed-down time slot.

Yeah, I realize that's the entrance to the Shadow Shard. The point of my post was that the changes at Portal Corp, the new zone (Shadow Shard), and this 'special announcement' by Statesmen are all connected. I'll bet we won't see any invasion until update 2 goes live, then we'll hear about strange enemies coming from an alternate dimension to attack Paragon City.

I didn't belive the Meteor thing earlier in this thread but last night I saw it myself near Icon in skyway city.
I just caught the last few meteors in the sky as i logged in. There is definatly something afoot.
Sorry no chance to grab a screenie as it was over before I had chance but They looked kind of greenish reather than firey like traditional meteors. And they do eminate from 1 point but go in different directions.

Personally, I'm hoping the huge special announcment/event is the announcement that Peregrine Island has sunk into the sea and nows its just a big zone full of water and that all the people that where power leveling are stuck there for the rest of eternity becuase the ferry doesn't have a place to dock anymore.
