  1. NOTHING can solo farm a 54 boss farm, if u do know of anything, show us a vid.

    What's that? You don't have a vid. but a story about some tank or scrapper doing it?

    In that case i'll have to say LIAR!

    Fire/kins farm BM, Demon, and Freak farms...

    I don't know why the dev.'s haven't nerfed ae to where u can' t do 54 boss farms yet, but it most likely will go next.

    and after that?

    Fire/kins will go back to PI, along with every lazy lowbie w/ a couple mil.

    The reason 8 fire/kin teams don't work is bc u've got a dam. cap of 400%, if there wasn't a dam. cap then an 8 man fire/kin team would be going through that map faster than it took me to write this post.

    FS stacked at 16 will get u at dam. cap

    If u guys don't remember about 2 weeks ago, b4 i15 came out, remember those farms w/ all those baddies spawning in one spot? Remember all of those fire/ blasters charging lowbies for those? My fire/kin was soloing those farms that had 52 lt.'s, granted that i was next to a regen/recovery shrine, but I was also surrounded by 16 baddies all the time (there was actually around 200, but I was at agro cap ) I didn't even charge lowbies, just told them to go to a room and stay there or be perma-dead.

    NO! THE FIRE/KIN era is not over!

    ...

    It's just taking a well-deserved break...
  2. depends what you want to farm: BM/warrior clan, demon, or freakshow

    For the BM/warrior clan farm ur going to want either fire or earth as epic powers

    You want fire for the damage resistance, you'll get hit the same amount but w/ less damage.

    You want Earth for the defense, you'll get hit less, but w/ almost the full amount of damage.

    If ur doing a freak farm... I'll be honest, i've done things LIKE the freak farm in ae, but not the ACTUAL freak farm, but i would still stick w/ fire or earth, unless u want some resistance to stuns, than u want mental

    As far as the demon farm... I'm not going to even try to give u advice on it, haven't even been a doorsitter on it
  3. I built a fire/kin about 2 months ago, he's lvl 50 w/ 2 purple sets atm (absolute amazement and gravitational anchor).

    I've got his s/l dam. res. at roughly 21% and his s/l def. at about 38% i RARELY die on 54 boss farms, not to mention that i can stun half the mob w/ flashfire.

    I'm not sure why there are fire/kin haters out there, farming builds or not, but THEY ARE the best farming builds out there, and as long as they have sb, can be great on teams.

    I know, teams want the fs, but sb helps too, especially if u have a stone/ tank.

    If u can tell me ONE better farming build, plz do, bc i would like to build it and face plant when i find that u are extremely WRONG.
  4. Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't going rogue have new AT's for the people that just wanna be rogue?

    Or am I completely wrong, and Going Rogue is built so people can just switch between red and blue side, not go into the "neutral" side.

    Any way that's my perception of GR...
  5. Ok, so i just got off a team.

    We were discussing I16, we were talking about power customization.

    One guys pipes up and says, "the controller/dominator classes are getting a new power also"

    I automatically say, "WHAT!?!?" and "REALLY?"

    then he says, "yes, it's got purple imps"

    I then put "..." and left after the mish was over.

    I know what this guy thought was a new power was actually power customization, but it got me thinking.

    Other than power customization what else does I16 offer?

    I know, I know, I15 JUST came out.

    But when someone starts talking about new powers for me to try out, I've got to ask questions.

    Have the dev's said anything about I16 other than color customization?

    And if so... link plz?

    I was told today that they're used for the Going Rogue expansion, but that doesn't come out for a while, so why would the invention salvage come out this early?

    Ok, here's my CURRENT build, i'm still saving up for the rest of my purples, not to mention I haven't had the time to get my accolades.

    I'm keeping Pacing of the Turtle in Hot Feet until I get the rest of my build done, then I'll put armageddon in there.

  9. I've got a toon w/ the exact same costume and name on two servers, Your Neighborhood It, he is strange looking, his bio is outrageous, and he's not even a random button!

    But ya, when I win a cc, people are either like, "WOW, that's original!" or "WOW, I lost to a "random button"!"

    I'm going to vent right now, but i was on Freedom earlier tonight, and the hosts were giving out 100 mil to one person, I"m not going to mention what the winner looked like because that doesn't matter. However, during the cc the host was just telling everbody that their costume was ugly, or something in a negative conotation, i really didn't mind that...

    Anyway, one person was recruiting for his sg after the cc, and the host of the previous cc said that "(super group name) here, sucks!".

    After the previous cc holder said his part about the other person's sg, the other person (the one trying to recruit) told him to shut up, in a more colorful fashion...

    After that, the CC holder and the rest of the judges simultaniously said "petitioned" or "reported".

    The next 30 minutes were these 3 (?) guys defending them selves on reporting the sg recruiter.

    The previous CC holder said that inappropiate language wasn't good for his children, this was followed by someone saying "then turn off profanity".

    The previous CC holder went on to say that he doesn't know how to work his options.

    Another person said, "Your account has the profanity off when u start the game... u had to turn it on at some point..."

    The three judges of the previous CC, then went on to act the fool.

    Anyway, this all was going on over request (i've no idea why lol), i then "told" everyone to put the 3 judges on ignore, and that hopefully the sg recruiter wouldn't get banned.

    Also, this may be the worst part, the winner of the cc was asked to join the cc judges' sg (if u were given 100 mil, why wouldn't u?). He was also promised a free power leveling to lvl 50. The winner was a brand spanking new player, who was asking for "report teams" right after his new sg mates said "report/petition".

    I then sent the new player a tell explaining what a report/petition was, he then said "oh no, i don't want to do that".

    I'm sorry for venting, but I feel, even though the sg recruiter was using "language" (but who hasn't once or twice, right?), he shouldn't have gotten reported.

    I just hate bullies, and i felt this particular sg recruiter was done a great injustice, this kind of thing just makes me furious!

  10. I just recently built a Fire/kin troller, he's about three weeks old now, i've already got him to 50, and have him io'd out, and even have grav. anchor on fire cages atm.

    This is due to the fact that i got 3 purples in 3 days off the cim. wall. I got one last wednesday, and the other two friday.

    Is there a specific drop rate or pool for purples, i've tried looking at paragon wiki, but it's all gibberish to me.

    I was wondering if anyone had an answer for that, and since i'm starting to get really good drops, what are some strategies for the market to a novice player (only been playing for 6 months atm).
  11. ok i've got most of my slotting done, but i'm contemplating on a couple of powers. First is Hot Feet, do i need to keep PBaoe damage io's slotted or get slow io's? Also, on imps should i go for what i've got, or should i try slotting all of the pet damage procs (pet buffs) into fire imps?

  13. I remember when ae first came out, some guy had a bunch of freakshow in the back of the map (office) they kept respawning. I had my fire/kin and like 5 other trollers, we were stuck in the room fighting freakshow nonstop for like 30 minutes lol, still don't know how the guy did it, but that that was a cool trick.
  14. I'm trying to figure out which AT is me.

    In other MMO's, my favorite play style is melee damage, with lots of attack speed (i don't care how strong the attack is, i just want the recharge to be fast, while having decent damage).

    I'm thinking scrapper, probably dual blades/?

    I just need some more input, thx.
  15. I took out ID, bc I absolutely hate it, i kept smoke in bc i want a to hit debuff, i also kept sb just in case i ever want to get on a farm w/ a stone tank.

  16. This isn't a farming build for those stupid ae boss farms, this is for the bm farm. I just made my first fire/kin, I love playing him, i've already got half of the sets that i intended to use (such as Numina, and Performance Shifter).

    I have a build already mapped out, but it doesn't have an epic power in the build at all... which worries me a little.

    I still have my 2nd build slot to use, just in case i need to do a massive respec.

    BTW, he's only lvl 40 right now.

  17. First of all, i know some of the players are going to dog me for even asking questions that pertain to this.

    Ok, here it goes: I just started a second account last week, I Power-leveled a defender to lvl 47.

    I then took one of my lvl 50's on my first account, a peace bringer, and loaded up all of his inventories (inspirations, enhancements, and salvage), I did this because that would make any drop a recipe (not sure if this even influences the drop rate at all).

    I then took both of them into talos island, to the arena, and had my lvl 50 pb host an event, it was timed for 30 minutes each. I did this 5 times, with 60 kills each run, which means that i spent around 2 hours and 30 minutes, along with a total of 350 kills, and I got nothing.

    I would like to know if there was anything I was doing wrong, or am I just that unlucky?

I'll be getting my second vet reward in later this month , i think that the op is talking mostly about PB's, bc the nova form has two kb attacks, and if he is teaming with a human form pb, well one foot stomp w/ no holds ~ 10 villains go flying. So i think he assumes that no vet badges means no experience. I don't believe this to be true, however, I have seen a lot of newer people pl'ing to 50 to get to the EPIC AT. When I first started playing I thought PB's and WS's were going to be the "poweroverwhelming" kind of toon. I found out they weren't, but PB's are my fave and main toon

  23. Me and this guy had a huge argument over this on Freedom this afternoon. It was on a team granted, which made it even worse, lol. He was saying how his toon that he currently on, had just got through pvping in bloody bay. He's lvl 50, so he was exemped down. I called him on it, and he showed me the io on team chat. I still didn't believe him, but i could be wrong.
    Here's my question: You have to be within 3 lvls of the pvp area right?
  24. I've got a PB (sry my ws is only lvl 6). He's a dual build, one build is a strict nova/dwarf build, who is io'd out. The second build is the human form, which is tons of fun.

    My human form (uber destructive) isn't all the way io'd out yet, but it's getting there. Remember there's a reason why Khelds are called EPIC.

    That said when i'm dwarf form I can tank circles around most tanks (with the exception of stone/ tanks), this may be due to the fact that most tanks nowadays are noobs.

    I also have a sd/dm tank, who has high damage output and can keep aggro pretty well, he's only got generic io's on him though.

    With that said i'd say, if u want to play something fun, go with the ws.

    If you want to go with something that is suppose to built for tanking go for the tank.
