Literally ALL I do is PvP. I think I've gotten a total of like 2 recipes since they came out 
Drop rates are terrible. With about the same number of kills I got 1 drop. You are doing everything right. I would say PL a MM as your target since they have the fewest HP and no resistance grant for being in a pvp zone.

What're they going to do, stop the IOs from dropping in arena matches? Yeah, that's a great way to fix it.
EDIT: And if you think the 100+ million a lot of these IOs cost now is bad, wait until they do something like that. Let's use purples as an example. From I11 to I13 they were reasonably priced, if not a bit expensive. I14 came and the farmers moved to MA missions. No purples drop in those missions. No salvage drops in those missions. The price of purples and common salvage skyrocketed. Don't think this is a coincidence.

Oh and i was avging 1 every other 30 min session.

First of all, i know some of the players are going to dog me for even asking questions that pertain to this.
Ok, here it goes: I just started a second account last week, I Power-leveled a defender to lvl 47.
I then took one of my lvl 50's on my first account, a peace bringer, and loaded up all of his inventories (inspirations, enhancements, and salvage), I did this because that would make any drop a recipe (not sure if this even influences the drop rate at all).
I then took both of them into talos island, to the arena, and had my lvl 50 pb host an event, it was timed for 30 minutes each. I did this 5 times, with 60 kills each run, which means that i spent around 2 hours and 30 minutes, along with a total of 350 kills, and I got nothing.
I would like to know if there was anything I was doing wrong, or am I just that unlucky?
