New Invention Salvage Pieces

Today i noticed seven new pieces of invention salvage showing up in the market list:
Android Armor Plate
Android Blaster
Android Circuitry
Brain Lichen
Primordial Moss
Progenitor Lichen
Undamage Android Brain

Interesting...

I noticed these also, what are they used to make?

New recipes?

I was told today that they're used for the Going Rogue expansion, but that doesn't come out for a while, so why would the invention salvage come out this early?

Does anyone know what these new invention salvage pieces are for?

None have actually shown up in-game so far; they're just listed on the market. The Winter's Gift universal travel IO set also showed up on the Market long before the Winter Event launched last year. It's probably just an Oops.

Yup, that would be my guess as well.
Now i'm wondering if this will end up tying into the hypothetical universal enhancement slots.
Probably not, but speculating is fun.

Someone has speculated that they're Praetorian salvage from the GR expansion later this year.

[/ QUOTE ]It's easy to catch a piece of the branch you didn't actually want when merging into the trunk, especially if you're backporting features from a future branch.

The Android pieces all reference the pieces being taken from Praetorian Clockwork Androids. (This was pointed out when I mentioned these in the thread about features that were missed.)

The primordial moss and the brain lichen both reference Devouring Earth but not Praetoria. However being that they are new with the other ones, it seems that their could be Praetorian Devouring Earth.

The Progenitor Lichen references Hamidon. Now it's wild speculation, but how could would a Praetorian Hamidon be?

If I had to guess, and I don't, I would surmise that the new Praetorian Salvage is just added to diversify the salvage a bit more... It will probably be mixed with existing salvage for new recipes.

Is it possible he never turned into a giant blob? Would be interesting if there were a new Hami raid that didn't involve Jello... but instead had some new and different DE threat.

Funny. I agree, I think that is likely exactly what it is. But the descriptions of these pieces Reference Praetorian Clockwork Androids, combined with the news that Praetoria will be several zones, I think that let's us no we will have some alternate universe clockwork, and as androids no less, perhaps better than the pile of scraps they are now?

Also I am hoping some alternate dimension Devouring Earth, could be very cool IMO.

I agree, I would love to see a new and completely different Hamidon.

Instead of turning into Jello he turned into Angelfood Cake... (Sticking with the dessert theme.)

Okay Angel food cake is a bad idea, but a vastly different Alternate Dimension Hamidon could be very cool. (Though it is still wild speculation at this point since the salvage didn't actually mention Praetoria, just Hamidon.)

A future branch would be a branch intended to use for developing a future version of the software, eg: Paragon Studios probably has an i16 branch, an i17 branch, and a GR branch, if not more.
