Fire/kin farming build help

This isn't a farming build for those stupid ae boss farms, this is for the bm farm. I just made my first fire/kin, I love playing him, i've already got half of the sets that i intended to use (such as Numina, and Performance Shifter).

I have a build already mapped out, but it doesn't have an epic power in the build at all... which worries me a little.

I still have my 2nd build slot to use, just in case i need to do a massive respec.

BTW, he's only lvl 40 right now.

You want Stone epic for the BM farm. Get the Steadfast res/def unique while you're at it - you want to push up your smash/lethal defense as much as you can. You don't need Smoke, Increase Density, or Speed Boost (assuming you are only going to be farming with this build) and you don't need Acrobatics (slot one -KB IO and you'll be fine).

You may want to consider slotting Expedient Reinforcement for your imps. It is a lot cheaper and the imps will do about 3x as much damage.

(SA is lvl 50 only enhancer, imps spawn 49. So you get the bonuses, they don't)

I took out ID, bc I absolutely hate it, i kept smoke in bc i want a to hit debuff, i also kept sb just in case i ever want to get on a farm w/ a stone tank.

you should 6 slot the 3 end recov lines with efficiency adaptor.

and slotting combat jump is useless. If you have the doe, put 1 +7,5 lotg, enough.

as for the epic, consider this: you can do in AE the same map as in Warrior clan, but there, you built ur opponents, so i strongly recommend fire.

I mean, if you dont want ur AE farm cleared, just make it hard enough for anyone else but you to die.

baddies such as fire blasters are good enough.

The biggest advantages to Soulbound Allegiance are the +HP and +dam set bonuses in slots 3 and 4, neither of which is particularly helpful on a Fire/Kin (especially if you're Stone and have enough rech to perma Earth's Embrace). Expedient Reinforcement is definitely cheaper and has more desirable set bonuses for a farming Fire/Kin.

There's a handfull of things I would do differently with your build....obviously. Transfusion works very with Touch of the Nictus set. Personally, I dont see the need for 6 slotting your purple sets. The 5% toxic resist very rarely comes into play if at all when farming.

ok i've got most of my slotting done, but i'm contemplating on a couple of powers. First is Hot Feet, do i need to keep PBaoe damage io's slotted or get slow io's? Also, on imps should i go for what i've got, or should i try slotting all of the pet damage procs (pet buffs) into fire imps?

Hot Feet is fine with maybe the default slot for endurance reduction, perhaps an additional slot for accuracy (damage slotting is a waste since you'll be at the damage cap all the time anyways). I have my Imps slotted with 3 Nucleolus Exposures.

Unless you want to sacrifice a purple set for slotting elsewhere, keep what you have in hotfeet. I love the Armageddon set in there and will be switching some of my slotting around so I can get the 5th piece in my build.

Ok, here's my CURRENT build, i'm still saving up for the rest of my purples, not to mention I haven't had the time to get my accolades.

I'm keeping Pacing of the Turtle in Hot Feet until I get the rest of my build done, then I'll put armageddon in there.

I'd get rid of Swift and swap it for Hurdle as at 50 swift doesn't help much and the extra jump height will help more than swift does.

Siphon Power requires 1 Acc, nothing else.. wasting slots that could be used elsewhere. After you get FS this power is meh at best.

Health doesn't need to be 6 slotted either. 3 for your unique IO's and 1 more for a heal.

You can get by with 5 slotting Imps as well, 4 SA and 1 Aura usually works just fine.

You still do not need to put slots into CJ and I would move them to earth's embrace. You can slot Numina's if you still want the Regen bonus and it brings embrace back up sooner.

With all the slots saved you could fill out fissue and you might want to make sure you have enough recharge in Transference, even fully slotted **'s burn through End and you will want it up as soon as possible, especially when it misses and you find yourself with no End and a lot of angry bad guys.

I went for capped S/L defense, but I've no real complaints about the build.

I wouldn't advise to gimp your damage slotting, if you're soloing there will be quite a few times in which you will not be damage capped with FS (keep in mind if you have 95% from enhances you only need 205% from FS to be capped), in the same vein I'd keep Siphon Power, but also because it's useful against AVs if you ever play a TF.

Fissure does less damage than fireball but it recharges nearly twice as fast, so meh. Of course fire is less resisted, etc, etc.

Doctored Wounds does the job, and grants the last 5% recharge bonus as well. I rarely need Transfusion to begin with and when I do I've had no complaints about hitting with it. Though I don't +4 ever if I can avoid it as well.

haha....okie

I guess you rather have 3 other crap bonuses in order to get that 5% rech than having 4 really good bonuses that TotN offers plus having the power reliable against anyone you face.

Not to mention, if you use TotN set instead, you can save a slot to use elsewhere....since you rarely use the power anyways. Seems a waste to have it 6 slotted eh?
