If the old updater is taking minutes/seconds, then what might be happening is you may be setting up the installer, versus the full game client install. That's a very small file and downloads/sets up fast.

Even if you had the game fully installed and set up using the older updater, the smallest patch would still take at least several minutes to download and update.

The noise bugs me more than the vfx.

It sounds like it might be your firewall blocking access to a map server. Or it could be your hard drive is having read errors.

Low level characters will still get bonus XP and merits.

The number of MMO customers in the US is still small. The number of MMO customers that have Smartphones is even smaller. Then fragment that even more by pitting iPhone versus Android. You end up having a fairly small group, most of whom are already existing subscribers.

In the end, I think such an app would be more of a marketing tool than a revenue generation idea.

How are you able to access the forums? Is it through work?

Can you access ncsoft.com from home?

Can you run a traceroute, and paste the results?

Could he be using a firewall? For example, Peer Guardian blocks a lot of the NCsoft IP's. That would prevent someone from zoning into certain instances.

This sounds more like a routing issue than server issue. Have you tried running traceroutes during the slowdowns? It should tell you where the hiccup is.

Usually if you buy things from BestBuy.com, you can select to pick it up at a local store, if you don't want to deal with getting it through the mail.

Hi all, I'm looking to join a Super Group on Justice.

I usually enjoy spending my time running Task Forces, and I'd like to find an active SG to run them with. I don't have a ton of time to play, so I usually only play one or two characters at the most for a couple of TF's each week. I do like to theorycraft a little, so being able to talk about builds, strats would be nice.

I'm on the west coast, so a PST or CST SG would work best for my schedule. Logging on in the evenings or a weekend and seeing SG-mates running content would be awesome.

I've looked through the list of SG's on the thread in this board, but it's hard to figure out the differences between most SG's just based on that thread.

Any recommendations, suggestions would be very appreciated.

Would one of you be kind enough to re-upload CoHLCD? The version I downloaded is corrupted, and the most recent link says that the maximum # of downloads has been reached.
