I've had it on since last night at around 10 PM & the updater is literally just inching along on me, as of now, it's at 34%. 34%!!! NCSoft, your launcher is just as crappy as the last one, do something about this pronto, thank you! >_<

(I lost just about all of my games yesterday so I'm kinda losing it right now & could really use the help. XD)

I don't know why your launcher is this slow but mine have done the update within 3 Minutes.

Actually, what gets me is that the old launcher seemed ALOT faster, this is literally taking me DAYS! >_<

Oddly enough, the launcher is really slow for me now too, but ONLY on my wireless connection. On my desktop, which is connected via cat5, I get a fast enough download speed that I never even notice what the speed is. Now, on my laptop, which is connected via wireless router, I'm getting a measly 22 kb/s, which means the latest patch is taking me several hours to get!

I'm wondering if OP and I are both having port issues...

...I forgot what experience means.

Interesting, well for me, this all happened when I uninstalled Steam & reinstalled it again & the NCSoft Launcher was using the COX Client from the Architect Edition from Steam, so when I got rid of Steam, it got rid of COX.

I thought if I used my copy of Going Rogue & installed it from the disk, it would make things go much faster. Boy was a I wrong...

Anyway, please let me know what you come up with, I'm at the end of my rope.

Maybe we should both try connecting our Laptops to our Modems or something. *shrugs*

It says I'm getting 48KB per second.

So I decided to put the Ethernet Cable into my Laptop & it seems to be downloading a little faster, although I had to restart the download process, I was at 52% before. >_<

Now it's actually gotten slower at 30 KB per second, wtf...

I would have done that, except the GF is playing on the desktop now. I've even use this laptop at HER place before, and the wireless there gave me no problems. I just set up my wireless router today, and it's super slow on the wireless. (I don't know if it'll be slow on the desktop connection now that it's also run through the router. If it IS, it could be a router firmware issue.)

Edit: I checked everything having to do with ports, and they are all clear.

How would I go about the fixing Firmware Issue?

Here's something odd, I was trying the old Launcher that I got from Going Rogue and it takes only mintues/seconds to download, but then when it's done it says that the COH Updater has stopped working... :/

Now why would the old updater be so much faster than the new one?

I think the community here can't help you with this problem. Ask the support.

If the old updater is taking minutes/seconds, then what might be happening is you may be setting up the installer, versus the full game client install. That's a very small file and downloads/sets up fast.

Even if you had the game fully installed and set up using the older updater, the smallest patch would still take at least several minutes to download and update.

So before work, I left the updater, well, updating & you would think that it would've been plenty of time, WELL...

I got back & got this message...

Well, if you would follow the instructions given to you by a redname in the first reply to your original post you will likely be able to resolve the problems.

As Fireblaster said, this is probably something that the community can't help you with, you need to talk to support.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Right, sorry about that, this is all just getting on my nerves. -_-;

The only reason I'm still posting here is that Support has stopped replying to me.
