Having gotten quite a few brute to 45% I can say that once you hit the s/l soft cap def debuffs (from s/l at least) don’t actually have that big of an effect. That’s for 2 reasons i think:
1. Being soft capped means that you are actually less likely to get hit by def debuff. As the first attacks only has 1 in 20 chance to hit.
2. Dead things can’t debuff you, you’re a brute large mobs should last that long in the first place. But there are some enemies that don’t like to die, like AVs. But during that long AV fight most of the time the only thing that will be alive is that AV, which means it’s going to take quite a while for an s/l AV to stack any decent –def on.
Of course, posi and the like with eat you up and spit you out unless you have some backup, but when don’t you have help?
This is only true of */*/soul brutes, but both gloom and dark oblit will end up throwing -tohit at the enemy. That’s 4-8 pseudo def.

Oh, one thing i have forgotten i guess is that now that stamina kicks in at lvl2 you actually dont end up having to many end problems until 20ish so before that acc/rech/maybe dmg should will be fine. Once you get up to 20 however...

On brutes i think this is really needed because the key to a good brute is that you dont stop and rest between a mob. I actually find end is BETTER if you keep going, but maybe thats just me. -

Yes, there is no point to build for def in farming. Other that the few places where def is one of the only things you can get that’s useful, 3 slot aegis in your armor. In an ambush farm you want rech and more rech. Imo, this because of 3 things:
1. It helps you get your AoEs, rage, and FE up faster :P
2. It is one of the only stats that cannot be increased with insp, which drop A LOT.
3. You should be running with upwards of 500% dmg buff for your powers thanks to rage and reds (if you aren’t using these you failed). Running at this amount of +dmg even 10% more +rech after you already have over 100% from sets (and thus pretty big rech decay) can increase your overall DPS by over 10. -
I LOVE the stealth set, perfect place for a few LotG mules. I have it on most of my toons.

Here, made a couple of small changes. The FF+rech proc is THAT good. Also i would recommend you get either soul (gloom+dark oblit) or mu (fences+ball) if you can, so you can get RotP nuke/rez. You are going to die sometimes, and being about to get right back up, kill some dudes, and be unkillable for 15 seconds is fun.

I am about to do a respec build but do not know if Fighting Pool is necessary for additional content besides farming. Note just want to do some nice scrapper like team-play if possible besides being mistaken for a Tanker's roll because it is a FA Brute, (I would roll an Invun, or Stone Armor for the Tanking aggro holding roll - not knocking off other armor type Brutes because of not mentioning those).

I for one always support having two builds, one thats soft capped to s/l and the other thats has tons of +rech. But not everyone wants to spend that kind of inf. -
On my none-farming build i have 4 slot mocking beratement, get nice +end and s/l def.

I think it was only a rumor; we got the vanguard pack instead. Or at least there hasn’t been anything official on it.

I almost always color each of my powers differently, that ended up being REALLY fun on my spine/regen. Infact i wish there was an option of having three or so different sets of colors for one power that would come up randomly, that would be sooo cool!
Then some other times i use what's really close to the original color but just a little off, did this on a few of my fire/kin's costumes. -
Yep, due to this its personally my favorite power ingame atm. If you didnt get it you failed. :P

Here, cheap SS/fire/mu made for farming Fire ambushs or demons. It does have quite a few LotGs in it but those can always trickle in slowly. and for KoB just grab whichever Gaze's are cheapest.

Either cardiac for your end or spirit for your kill rate and the +healing. Musculature is semi-useless on a brute.

Paragon wiki is a great place to looks up mods for the ATs. Red tomax might have them too but i never use it.
Also, in reality Scrappers>brutes>tanks>stalkers when it comes to melee dmg. (dont worry stalker lovers im only joking, plz dont AS meh) :P
However, doms actually have the 2nd highest melee dmg mod.
HEAT nova forms have the highest ranged dmg mod, of course blasters still do more dmg. -

I find it's the tickets that actually make AE good. I can generally average upwards of 100mil a day from only 20 minutes or less of actual farming.

Personally I would always try and shoot for the soft cap, specially on an SS/WP brute, no matter how much +rech i have to give up.
This thing is, the more def you get the each point of def gets BETTER...by a lot. But with more and more +rech each point of +rech gets less and less useful.
But generally i want softcap and 50% or more +rech from set bonuses. -

No matter how tough your Scrapper or Brute is, he can only hold aggro on 16 targets or so. But with pets each pet can aggro 16, so you can potentially have dozens of enemies rounded up eating laser and missile barrages.
