build help..Demon farming ss/fire

I've been using mid's, but i have a hard time setting up builds effectively. anyone have a non-purp build that's solely for demon farming? Or a fire ambush build?

Honestly, as long you have FS, burn, BA, and rage, you should be able to farm on SOs. Now that doesn't mean at +4x8, but +0x8 or +1x8 should work. I know mine could d0 +2x8 in the 40s and he was 90% SOs.

I thought +2/x8 was considered optimal for farming. I was thinking of that route, unless there's a build that'll make +4x8 go smooth and fast

Here, cheap SS/fire/mu made for farming Fire ambushs or demons. It does have quite a few LotGs in it but those can always trickle in slowly. and for KoB just grab whichever Gaze's are cheapest.

Don't get dissuaded by the term, "cheap." ultrawatt's build is very effective at +2 X8. I used it, made some minor alterations, and have no problems.

Optimal for what? If you're after shards and the chance for purple drops wouldn't +0/x8 be better?

+2/x8 should increase your inf/min quite a bit and shouldn't lower your kill rate by a noticeable amount, if anything you will just have less wasted AoE dmg.

No I do not recall that but I've notiecd over the years that when on a team that is at minimum amount o fplayers the chances are better. Also I've noticed that when the map is divided or split by two farmers, the chances greatly increases because of the greater kill rates combined on the map. But now with all these new-temp-@$$ recipes new to the game ... that brings the drop rate for tasty purps back down even more.

Found it. Interesting reading. I suppose one could argue that it might not be valid statistically due to having a small sample size (27 runs total); in other words, maybe he got a few lucky drops that skewed the numbers. But I haven't seen anyone else post a larger data set.

I really hate temp recipes. I wish I had an option for them to not drop.

That build looks quite a bit like the one I've put together for my blueside SS/Fire. He's at level 32 now, and I'm planning to bring him into AE after hitting 33 and putting more slots into Foot Stomp. The only differences are that I went for Hasten at 12, Fly (60 month vet, so that I can snag Hover later) at 14, and went for Tough and Weave in the 20s. I grabbed Taunt at 30.

On my none-farming build i have 4 slot mocking beratement, get nice +end and s/l def.

I've always loved the Perfect Zinger set. All the bonuses after 2 are pretty amazing:

* Two enhancements reduces the duration of Fear effects on you by 2.75%.
* Three enhancements improves your Regeneration by 10%.
* Four enhancements improves the Recharge of all your powers by 5%.
* Five enhancements improves the Damage of all your powers by 2.5%.
* Six enhancements increases Smashing and Lethal Defense by 3.13%.
* Six enhancements increases Melee Defense by 1.565%.

The procc makes for great fun when you're bored. Just go to low level zones and taunt things to death.

I haven't looked lately, but the set used to be dirt cheap.
