That idea was the only reason I went through to the end of this thread to comment. I am so doing this tonight when I get home.

Quote:Man, I'm not gonna beat that one. Here's my title suggestion, if you go the "non-comedy" route: Tears of a Clown.
So I'll just post a link to a video. -
If you have GR and can start in praetoria: Sonic/Kin Corruptor and Fire/Rad Controller. Buffing damage, heals in and out of melee range, destructive debuffs, and plenty of -resist to tear up the bad guys.
I know the OP mentions that they want to avoid melee ATs, but on redside I've had a great time duo'ing a Brute/Stalker combo. -
How does this work for Rogues/Vigilantes who are tourists? Can they get the missions to unlock the slots from their "opposite" sides (since tourists are supposed to be locked out of mission contacts)?
-
Yeah, I would really like a SG rename token, as I'm one of the few people left in an old RPVG which sort of has a crap reputation due to the shenanigans of old members who left the game more than a year ago. We've got tons of Prestige and a great base and amenities I don't want to abandon. But as often as not when recruiting, the ghost of those old leaders/members still makes people wary of the VG.
Long story short, we could really use a fresh start. -
Quote:Not a bad idea at all, and sorta ties into the pagan ideas of the cycle of seasons leading to the rise-and-fall of the influence and power of certain mythological creatures.Besides, making a Hallowe'en Snaptooth arc sorta completes the set. Though since he does the whole respawn-three-times thing in spring, but not winter, I suppose it's possible he could be even lower-powered in autumn... I can make him a Fiend.
Of course, now that I am thinking about it, that doesn't exactly make sense seeing as Snappy's plot in winter is to halt the year in winter - you'd think that Snappy would try that when his own powers were at their height. Eh, maybe Winter Lord is buying him off to help. -
-
Just adding to the above, if you've made it to 20 on your brute and gotten to Paragon City - you can always Exemplar down to a lowbie team running in Atlas Park and continue to level that way. ... But I think that is taking your question a little too literally.

I just found out about this trick, although some people probably knew about it from a long time ago...
You can combine different objective details in the navbar by using the same Plural Text in each of the details. This way instead of having:
Find the Scanner, Find the crate, Find the GlowyBall, Find the ...
You can cut it down to:
X Objects of Interest to Find
If you insert "Objects of Interest to Find" in the Plural Nav Text field of each of the individual details. The MA will batch them together in the Navbar. This is probably best when you are trying to obscure the kinds of things being looked for (as in a mystery arc) or that there are several details that use identical objects/models but yield different clues or text (such as file cabinets, computers, etc). -
I'm tired of Jack telling me how to play this game HIS way. Just shoot me in the head.
-
Thanks for the play, Arrowrose! INTERNET was my first published arc, so it definitely shows its age and my experience at the time. That last mish definitely needs work, as many folks have mentioned its difficulty due to the mixed-group of standard critters. Right now a re-design is slightly beyond my task list at the moment, but I'll be looking at it. I may end up trying to retool it for the 15-25-30 crowd - but that requires a lot of very careful balancing.
-
Just a quick note I forgot to put in my request (if you're going into TF: Mutternacht at some point). (Extremely Minor spoiler)
After the first mission the story presumes that your PC is given a new costume to maintain a villainous cover identity. Since the Pro Payne arcs appear to approach the arcs from an IC-perspective, you might wish to make one to reflect what the MA interface "changes" Pro's "Avatar" to look like. -

Very nice guide, I'll be posting this to my VG's GP page.

Quote:Nice point. Vocabulary FTW.While intestine has a secondary meaning which people are unused to and is correct in its usage here, it's primary usage makes it an unfortunate choice since that is what most people will think of.
A better choice would be internecine. -

Hah! I'm so going to run this one since my main Hero was an economic analyst prior to getting her powers (despite the fact that her player barely made a C in high school economics).
-
Had this same problem, noticed it on each of the Hostile Escorts I put in.
Oddly, it also fires off the "stranded", "reacquired", and "arrival" dialogue when the escort activates.
FYI, Fred when did you have your hostage/escort set to betray? I had mine set for immediate betray upon rescue (rather than once you take them back to whereever).
Sounds like a new bit of breakage in the MA. -
Crey-Z-Glue is definitely for the win.
Also, I gotta play this tonight, if only for 'Nette and the letter. -
Very interesting! I've never noticed the Eye of Horus thing - this begs for some MA stories to be designed!

Quote:...and if you don't get the Storm AV.Well, when people ask how long a task force is, they don't expect you to include recruiting time. You can do the Cathedral trial in 20 minutes - once you get all your cats herded up.
And there's no way to know until you've already spent significant periods of time recruiting and balancing teams.
IMO for OP: Don't tell people it only takes 20 minutes. The Trial itself can take up to 60 minutes and only that amount. For Casual Players: recruiting teams, balancing teams, and explaining what the teams need to do (which you will, OP, since you don't know what happens in the Trial) - can take a considerable amount of time. Expect that to take at least an extra hour on top of the Trial itself. At least. -
I didn't think that P&P was "too easy", I thought it was as challenging as it needed to be for a comedy-based adventure. However I haven't run it since a very early incarnation of it.
