  1. Hold powers help a lot too (grab the rings power from elf in chalet while its open).

I had it easy with some characters, but I almost gave up doing him solo with my kin/psi defender. Ever full tray of inspirations, shivan, back up radio, and a war wolf it was close.

I normally will help out if I see a request to kill trapdoor on virtue's global channels or help.

Look at the mastermind set if you want to see the worst ATOs.

  3. I was thinking of buying a few. But at 800, I'll spend the time. Running them below, its XP, and for running them at 50, I do it at -1/x0 often level shifted.

Hopefully a lot of people agree with me, and we see a sale on them soon.

I do see them as a very good pay for service, saving time and nowhere close to paying to win.

I wont claim to know the Dev intentions, but I'd imaginae marketing would want as many sold as possible.
I think there would be more money in having them cheaper as I'd spend over 800 points if they were 200 points each over spending nothing. But the market plan doesnt seem to about he micro pricing much for transactions, and they have the data to support thier view.

  5. Yet another thread on superpacks - oh yay.

Not like a half dozen is enough.

To the earlier guy about powers you can look at and say ok Ill pass on that I dont really need it, I think that is caltrops in devices.
Caltrops is awesome. Caltrops + Procs/interface esp. including the vet reward procs pre 22 is awesomer.

    I agree with this.

But you can buy them from the in game market so I must admit I don't see it as a huge issue either.

I admit the error in judgement. Gonna suck it up and pull a purple to slot a 6.25% recharge set in it. Thought it was worth noting though, and I'm a bit bummed that I'm taking a 1.5% recharge loss from the uncatalyzed version of the set.
If you got the ATOs from super packs, you probably have enough unslotters to pull them out and slot an unboosted set.... just a thought

I think far more people hide when feeing unsociable, not for harassment reasons.

People getting hassled every couple of minutes is the exception not rule in this game.
  10. I like the concept of One Good Spider, but its time consuming & twice in a row I had bugged spawns and was unable to finish it, so never again.

One of my favs is the death trap one, forget which with Dr quantam's hide out. Love that one, so much fun.

I would rather a few minutes of copypasta than allow hateful speech to be prominent. Considering the efforts of people that have gone into equity and equality in this world, at great personal risk and harm; and which I benefit from personally, a minute or two typing is a minor, easy, painless, no brainer 'sacrifice'. Seriousily, it's a matter of minutes. How little do you value a community free of racist/sexist hate not to do it?

If you are honestly telling people not to report hate speech, then you are part of the problem.

    Please Do Report Hate Speech!

Then the second time, I included in the petition that I didnt need a personal responce. And I wasn't bothered by a GM.

    LFG Broken?

I dont think the wait time is accurate, even taking into account preformed leagues.

I don't think it shows past 5 minutes.

I have moderate success with just joining the queue while doing other stuff. Sometimes people run with less than 8.
  13. Farming is also used as slang for doing anything repeatably.

So people might say they are farming A merits, when they mean they are running alignment missions only instead of varying different missions, regardless of how fast/slow they are doing them.

Farming normally implies doing something for fun of the reward not for the fun of the mission.

A level 50 earns much more inf than 49 or lower. Much more. Plus the big ticket purple recipes drop only from level 47+ foes, so many people farm missions with lots of easy foes to gather inf quickly and increase drop chances. A lvl 50 might set at -1/x8 so they can destroy foes real quick instead of running +2x2.
  14. Basing off carrion creepers, procs only seem to fire when an attack does that type of 'effect'. So a -tohit set proc would only have a chance to fire when an attack with -tohit hits.
I doubt, aside from pets, this would ever matter besides in terrify.

Set bonus works different. Completing a set grants that bonus, no hit is required to trigger the effect.

Terrify is good though. Decent enough psi damage. It breaks up attacks incoming. You can also put an ragnork +knockdown proc in there, I find it fun scaring them and knocking them over as in fear.

    No, not really.

  18. IIRC No. The ingame power wont accept to hit buffs, and it has no -hit. its just Mids that lets you slot it as if it could.

No. MMORPG means Role Playing Game.
Not 100% of the time, not even most of the time, but it needs to be enforced for the good of the game at some times.

You're not making a profit unless you are selling the Inf for rmt for more than the packs cost.

You are making good INF out of real money.

The packs give reward merits out like candy. Its really unlikely to be able to be brought by merits at any reasonable cost.
  23. I'm going to echo that I feel less and less valued for paying money monthly.

I'll probably buy a 24 pack on each of my accounts and be done with it.

Does anyone know what the actual odds of any given item are? In the first pack I opened, I got 1 common, 3 uncommon and 1 very rare item.
Big differences. I dont mind paying for collectable card games and the like. There is resale potential, and also the fact they are collectable/limited. Electronic stuff like this can be infinite in quailty, and is likely to be released in another format like direct buy or paragon reward.

Trading cards can increase in worth e.g. selling a card from 4 or 5 sets ago to a new collector. You are not able to trade costume piece x or sell it. There is no resell value at all for these - talking real money for the slow, not Inf, and not considering selling the Inf generated or similar dodgy practise.

Trading card games allow you to trade cards, buy singles to complete collections etc. These do not.

There are superfical resemblences to trading cards but any close examination shows they're not trading/collectable purchases. They use random packaging which a lot of trading type cards stuff uses. You are fooling yourself if you think of these as the same as trading cards.

I never brought Magic boosters for the online game, though I did buy plenty for the 'real' game. And those you could trade in for real cards after collecting a set.

I don't think its morally bankrupt to be selling them. I also was really pleased to see a list of weighting and odds presented by paragon, instead of having to rely on the test server drop rates collected by users. I wish they would put the odds for getting a rare/very rare on a pack as well.

I also think if you are -only- interested in the costumes, its not good value.
