    Best Damage?

    Ice Storm and blizzard suck unless you're in a team with good trollers/tanks. You might want to skip them, and aid self. Slot it 3 heals, 2 interupt reductions, 1 recharge.

    If you plan on PvP, skip assault and conserve power for combat jump and Superjump.

    Bitter Freeze ray sucks, get the Freeze Ray instead. You dont want a 4 sec animation time attack.

    Boost Range is almost perma with only 2 recharges. You can skip a slot there.

    Drop defence buffs in stealth - The base value is too low to be worth enhancing.

    Seriously, for PvE there seriously isn't a better character on ANY of the ATs, and don't let anyone tell you different. Fire/kin controllers level faster than any other build period.

    Solo fire/rad lvl's faster. Kin is good, but not awesome solo untill fulcrum shift. After lvl 40 Fire/rad is awesome, but Fire/kin is the uber PvE machine.

    Go fire/rad - Use radiation infection, enervation field, hot feet, fire cages on big mobs. This will work from lvl 10 and is insane AoE damage early on. Kin doesnt have the same option early on, and it can be tough to solo till later lvls.

    Focussed Accy?

    Get focussed acc if you want more dps in PvE. Oh yeah, its a must take in PvP unless you have a weird idea. I use darkness mastery cause it gives me tools (1 hold, 1 ranged attack). I have to respec for i7, I just cant decide. I prolly stay Darkness mastery on my main, and body on my PvP tool.

    In PvE you can almost go without acc, and if you are invu, I would defo. do it. the boost from invinc should be high enough to make it fully viable.

    In PvP the more acc the better. Bare in mind the foc acc (3 tohit) + BU (3 tohit) + tactics (3tohit) doesnt always hit through elude.

    Ive seen Freon walk all over Bitter Ice in 1on1's (not just once), and I havnt seen Bitter beat him. He has fought both his Ice/nrg and his Ice/dev.
    Bitter is a good blaster, but IMO not as good as Freon.

    Team blaster is another subject. Gatlin does one hell of a job, but so does Freon. Who is the best pick for the team? Depends on what you need. Want more spike go with Gatlin, want more dps go with Freon. IMO it depends on team strat.

    and I would dare say Salla and Elerith are just as good. They both stay alive and contribute a good amount to the team.
    What Shaman X does better than any other is escape with his [censored] sellection of travel powers. Fly is too slow for emergency AP, and yet somehow he manages.

    Salla is the kin/rad defender from hell. She is perhaps the biggest reason Lmn were so tough to get down. When they stopped using her regularly, Lmn were much easier.

    Elerith I love having behind me. Ive seen him and Freon accomplish almost impossible tasks eg. duoing 10-15 villains on their own.

    INFI! The rest arent as good. What he did during s4 was the stuff of legends.

    Tough one.
    Imaginary, The illu/storm from El Ereb (?), Mesmer. I dont know the unionites very well, but Dr. Mambo played very well last I fought him.

    Shaman X, Elerith, Salla
  8. Some fun squishies to try out.

    The killer
    Make a fire/fire dominator.
    Get domination and 3 hit kill the scrappers with FE and domination.

    The healer/protector
    /thermal radiation protector. Get the first power from your primary, but dont slot it. Get the aim power too and slot it with tohit enhancements. SKIP every other thing from your primary.

    Get every power from the secondary except RotP. Buff your friends with the shields and forge. Debuff your foes with melt armour, and heal, heal, heal.

    Solo build
    /cold corrs. You have an insane amount of debuffs namely slows, but also 2 resistance debuffers and a endurance buff. Finally lets not forget the defence debuff in infridgidate.
    These corrs are the number 1 solo corruptor, but like any squishie they are very weak if they arent buffed. If you are carefull and play the set well, you will have all the tools to take down any other build.
    Corruptors can be ganked very easily and have a hard time solo in a busy zone, just remember this.

    Stalker
    Make a nrg/something stalker if you want to get a rating of 400 fast. These are so ubah after energy transfer, its not even funny. The problem with these is the same as with most stalkers. Melee isnt always good enough.

    Aye, which is why stormies are a bit gimped atm. Storm defenders are below average in both PvE and PvP now .

    My money is on the blasters + emp, but it could be a close and interesting fight. If the stalkers all had spines (easiest way to spike), they would probably have good odds.
  11. How to make a good team for PvP.

    1-3 damage dealers -Offensive guys, (Blasters/trollers)
    0-1 Damage/taunt -Support/attackers (scrappers/tanks/rad) defenders
    4-6 buffers/healers - Support units.(defenders/trollers)

    Go with this and its always good.

    What and what isnt support.
    Rad defenders are semi offence, dark defenders are semi offense. These dont count towards support.
    Kinetics, empaths, bubblers, sonics are support. The best is one of all, and if you fill out support with the same kind it also gets bad. You should prefer this setup. 1 kin, 1 emp, 1 sonic, 1 bubbler. If you add more it doesnt matter which one.
    If the kin, emp or sonic doesnt have his buffs, he doesnt count towards support.

    A team make like this one will beat the [censored] out of any spines scrapper, ice/nrg blaster, ice/nrg tank, nrg/ stalker or any other FotM, if people do their part. Eg. buffers buff, healers heal, blasters kill. It doesnt matter much what primary and secondary the different AT's (-support).
  12. Team with another person with AM. Its perma with 2 guys who both have 3 recharges in AM, and 3 recharges in Hasten.

  15. Yeah, the storm is dead. It was never really overpowered, and with the hurricane and toggle knock changes its sub par.

    Storm requires permanent endurance buffs to stay effective, and is still highly vurnerable to a lot of range damage. Now its no better than dark miasma IMO.

    Radiation could be the next big hit. They arent highly vurnerable to toggle knock like they used to be. Before I7 the debuffs where removed faster than you could say diet coke by any blaster.

    Oh another thing. Is it just me, or did they change the repel of forcebubble? In i7 I can hit with ripper through forcebubble by running really fast., I had no chance in i6.

  17. Fire/fire tanks are very, very good in PvE with only one problem. The build is strict, and you dont have many options to divert if you want to min/max.

    Fire/fire tanks can outdamage most blasters simply due to fiery embrace, and you would be a fool not to take it.
    Get every AoE power you can including fireball. It gets truely mad when you add the figures. The entire AoE chain of a min/maxed fire/fire tank hurts more than a blaster using nova (with AIM and BU).

    I wouldnt make a fire/fire tank for concept, I would make one to own in PvE, since its probably one of the only tank builds that really does well in this department.
  18. Ive been to the zones on defiant the last few nights, and every thing is all changed.

    I cant spend one minute without

    1) being accused of being a cheater because I use break frees, or other insp. I dont exit the zones to buy more insp, and usually use the ones I allready have. Im a bit lazy, when it comes to preparation.

    2) having an overpowered set (even on my rad corruptor)

    3) being petition for attacking someone doing a duel or what ever was going on. People who want to duel could go to the arena and noone will interfere, but somehow thats not the right place. It seems only the zones work for duels.

    4) Yes, I kill people who are afk in the zones. I have no problems with it, people can easily leave the zones or go to the base if they wanna go afk. Ive had tons of broadcast telling me this is wrong.

    5) Holding people is also wrong, since bf's apperently arent allowed. I get called untallented when I hold people.

    This is every single fight I enter with very, very few exeptions. I admit, its been a while since I last visited went to the zones on defiant, but it wasnt this bad earlier was it?

    Who makes all these rules about behavior in the PvP zones, and is there anyway to get a say in those? If there is a certain set of rules everyone follows, could I please get a copy?
  19. I dont know what powers they use, and I may be a complete n00b when it comes to this, but..

    1) Taking down AV's is controller/defender buisness in normal PvE. Always has been always will be. I think what ever is the greatest danger to these guys should be cleared first.

    2) If you say Mako uses IH/elude, radiation infection (stacked) + Lingering (stacked), will cancel out both. I saw Mako killed in less than 1 min unlike GW who always lasted longer.

    3) Lvl38 powers dont really mean a whole lot (IMO) since you can debuff the [censored] out of any AV.

    4) I didnt see GW healing the other AV's, but if she does, then how much does she heal them? I only saw her use siphon life and dark regen.

    Im not convinced this is the right way (the best way to take them out). Just because GW can take down the best powers of tanks/scrappers doesnt mean shes the right target.

    The goal has to be fastest and with fewest deaths.

    1: Yes, and no. They arent set as DOs, but they do decreas in efficiency. When you exemplar down, your powers wont recharge nearly as fast, you wont run as fast, you wont have the same mez protection (presuming you have any).

    There are a lot of caps -the maximum or minumum you can reach in the game. The cap for running speed is higher at lvl 50 than it is at lvl 14. At lvl 14 you need 3 SO's in SS to reach the cap, at lvl50 you need 2 SO's to reach the cap. The same goes for almost any kind of power in the game. You cant give a simple yes and no answer, because it changes from power to power.

    2: Yes, you keep the slots.
  21. Is it just me or was taking down GW first a very bad call?

    Scirocco was the real killer with his AoE, amd ghost widow took ages to get down due to dark regen.

    While we spend 3-5 mins on GW, scirocco owns all squishies resulting in a lot of death.

    It seems a lot more sensible to take down Scirocco first, then Mako and leave the lady as the last one.
