/kin. Kin is so much fun. Also great support + attacking.

I would get whirlwind later and tactics sooner. With tactics alone you will be able to see stalkers, even if they have hide on (only defs. can do this).
I would wait with the speedline (SS+whirlwind), get SJ/acrobatics and assault/tactics for Sirens.
With jumps you can still "move" and not be annoyed by long animations.
Superspeed needs a runspeed. Trust me, its worth it. (1 run, 1 end, is good)
You should considder putting the end red in acrobatics instead of super jump. After you try CJ and hurdle, you wont really SJ that much.
4 heals in radiant aura? I presume you wrote that by mistake. 2 recharge, 3 heals, 1 end is a good slotting. -

A kinetics has incresed density which offers 39% res to smashing damage. If the kinetic defender uses siphon power too, you can more than cut the damage to 50%. If you dont have a tank, dont bring an empath (with this setup).
Dont get me wrong, I love empathy in a lot of situation, Im just saying its not very good in this. -
Siphon power and fulcrum shift can reduce AV damage (a lot actually). Siphon Speed makes the AV attack less frequent.
Its not only the heals.
Yes kin wont save your butt against nems, but in a team of only 3 nems arent that big a problem. My scrapper would be able to solo them. -

Not a bad choice, even if I prefer Ice/dev cause its so good in solo PvP. -

3 recharges and 1-3 tohit buffs depending on how much you PvP (3 if its a lot) -
Assualt/tactics have a really high end cost, and do fairly little on a blaster. The only reason to take them is PvP.
PvP'ers take the powers cause it helps taunt, placate, perception, confuse, fear. A blaster (and namely a fire blaster) uses a [censored] load of endurance. I dont think your build can take the end cost.
Flares is a power to skip. Its bad, very bad. Does absolutly no damage.
I think you would prefer temp. invu. to PFF. The blaster value is quite low for PFF.
I think, I would get some of the good melee attacks from Ice too. and maybe even slot sprint so I could get in/out of melee fast.
Anyway apart from having flares it doesnt look bad. Some nice slotting IMO. -
Yes Xanthus is right, and the devs have done a lot to make attacks less "rooting". Radiation infection and darkest night are 2 examples. You used to be rooted during the whole animation. Now you're only rooted 1/3 of it.

A blaster and a scrapper would have better luck against an AV if they had a kinetics defender instead of any tank.
I have been a scrapper in such a setup.
The kin can debuff and the res from ID is much better protection, than tanks tanking 3 hits and dieing.
Thats a really big problem with this game. Buffs/debuffs are much better than what tanks get. -
If you search the user "Imaginary", you will be able to find Captain Freons build.
Its very good in solo PvE, but kinda gimped in team PvP due to the lack of AoE's. -
Leaderhip pool.
The kinetics set requires a tohit on almost every power which is why dark and kin doesnt have the best synergy. Dark doesnt have an AIM power.
Tactics will make you hit better, and is a must take for kin/dark. The way hitting works makes tohit buffs much better than accuracy enhancements.
Maneuvers is a waste of a power and any slots you put in IMO. The base value is too low.
Getting assualt and tactics is a very good idea.
Slotting:
Assault 1 end reduction
Tactics 1 end reduction 3 tohit buffs
Medicine Pool.
Kin isnt a healing set. Its a set that makes other people faster. Your job is 2 things
a) to keep everyone speedboosted + increased decenty on the main aggro takers.
b) to boost damage with fulcrum shift/siphon power.
The job of a defender isnt healing, its playing the best his set can do. If you think adding the med. pool will make you able to protect your team, your wrong. It has no range, heals very small amounts and has a huge animation time.
Speedboost should be taken ASAP.
Increased density should be taken ASAP. -

Stone tanks can be 2 shotted by any stalker, if they have disruption field on them (from /sonic corruptors). Its not that big a problem.
Edit: false, tankers will have more hp at 50, so its 3 shotted.
Kinetics is a good solution, but given that both villains and heroes have access to it, I dont see it as a problem. -
Next time.
Let the trollers do the damage. Get everyone else to hit him once, and stay back. The trollers/other holders were doing fine in bringing Hamidons health down, and we could easily have done it.
The raid leaders took the blame for the failed raid, and have apoligize to every one. Hell we will just get him next time.
Anyway I was glad to see everything was running smoothly, and people did a great job. The mito clearing was pretty fast, and Hamidon was held faster than I have ever seen before. So great job guys. -
I think no travel powers (like the arena setting).
I think no stealth (like the arena setting)

You havnt tried a powerboosted regen aura, have you? -
I have killed tons of AV's who where perma held the entire time, all the 10-15 secs they lasted.
I could imagine a full team of fire/rad trollers being able to do the same, presuming they are all buffs with 8*AM, they all use EF. Maybe the imps could get in the way of each other and lower the damage?
Perma holding AV's for more than 10-15 secs is impossible afaik. When the purple shields come up, the AV isnt held any more.
I have been on teams with 6-8 trollers and there was no way we would do it. Perhaps if the rads added choking cloud they would have a chance? -
Looks like a very good build, but its gonna be a [censored] to lvl. You cant scrap untill very late.
PvE - Sucky untill 24-26
PvP - Nasty build. Not much you cant do. -
The general faster animations on MA makes it a more surviable set.
