Theres a nice thread on the US boards here

Most of the info is taken from the April issue of the US PC Gamer.

From the sounds of it we are going to be able to unleash monsters such as the Kronos on the other side, which should be uber \o/

Plus States and Recluses have been hinted on showing up.

I want RV Nowwwwwwwwwwww!

Hmmm, super-pets. its gonna be fun. I might have to enter PvP combat for a bit just so i can have some fun with friends in RV. twill be amusing. lets hope the pets we have are tougher than the Paladin. fought that with my lvl 29 tanker and about 3 others the other day. we totally whipped him.

The flagbearer better have some severe restrictions applied - in terms of movement and concealment/tangibility.

I would expect a -stealth -teleport debuff to be put on the flag carrier, or something similar. Otherwise someone could grab the flag and then be recall-friended back to their own base by a teammate, or just go invisible and leg it back to their own base. I wouldn't have a problem with someone with SS, SJ or Fly moving at their top speed with the flag, but TP would be a bit too much as people are basically untouchable whilst teleporting.

-jump
-fly

not sure about -speed, as that affects all travel powers bar TP, maybe -superspeed?

oeh, and offcourse a nice bright green glow like in BB with the meteors.

I think no travel powers (like the arena setting).
I think no stealth (like the arena setting)
Maybe unable to attack too.

-No travel powers
-No concealment
-No attacks

This is what the flag bearer should have on him. Anything else than this scheme will open widnows for exploiting.

dont really see how no attacks will open exploits..
however if you go no attacks i reckon you also might want to implement no toggles or such, cause i can kinda imagine a stone tank turning on granite then happily (albeit slow) strot away with the flag.

PS. I dont say granite is unbeatable, but it sure takes a helluva lot of effort to do so if people dont give up

Ah, yeah, you're right. Otherwise he/she could just slap on PFF and stroll back to his/her base. Would mean that everybody gets addicted to kinetics there then!

That depends.I still think the flag bearer should be a gimp mode so that the whole thing becomes very team orientated. By picking up the flag you should go to some gimp mode regarding total power lock out and only buffs allowed on the bearer. But then kinetics would be really really overpowered. Still i wait to see what the devs come up with.

Stone tanks can be 2 shotted by any stalker, if they have disruption field on them (from /sonic corruptors). Its not that big a problem.

Edit: false, tankers will have more hp at 50, so its 3 shotted.

Kinetics is a good solution, but given that both villains and heroes have access to it, I dont see it as a problem.

Granites will not be a good way to get the flag IMO stacked holds and slows really do make them stationary

yeah like i said, i dont think theyre unbeatable, ive beaten my fair share of em.. however they may be stationary, but if you cant hurt em they prolly wont drop the flag, so albeit slow they can still walk away. And as stated before PFF would do nicely as well. Ah well, we'll just have to see what the devs come up with...
