quite true actually...

MA is really just like valve releasing the Source engine. True it's easier to manage than valves effort, but it is still not an addition to the game. 99% of us play games, not sit around writing them.

First off..'the host' is playing a gimped team concept purely for FUN. We have no aspirations of winning, just entering purely for fun, so the idea we are 'fixing' maps is nothing short of laughable.

Over the last three years KS has successfully organised PvP events and I for one am very grateful for him doing so. To effectively accuse him of fixing the event to suit his team is embarrassing.

This is ONLY A GAME, and quite frankly I am sure he has better things to do with his time than take unsolicited accusations from people unwilling to organise things themselves.

I just hope he doesn't get put off by such comments, and continues the excellent job so far.

I have never seen so many pvpers online as there are now, all talking about the same thing.

1) ..or..(like the previous s4)..it becomes a challenge of who can manage their buffs/insps better. After all I very rarely get to the end of a 10 min team pvp match with no inps left.
2) goodie I can tell you this for a fact..I can last longer than 20mins (ask a certain persons mum)
3) after 15 mins when inspies are all gone, life becomes really interesting.

Noone flamed.We simply disagree with the setup and discuss it since obviously GR opened this thread for this.And considering we got as much experience as the organisers in PvP allowing us to comment,dont see why not

a)make a poll

or

b)use previous S4 setup which will give chance to both sides to participate since like i mention level 24 or 32 will work nicely for those wanting to particpate and have laughs and can level easily toons needed like in previous S4 and level 50 the more dedicated PvPers.

Noone is answering my question why not use scheme b which worked perfect for previous event.

Considering this is a mixed event pure Villain pentad teams are not saved by APP/PPP removal and declaring TK and focused accuracy as invalid tactics.

Otherwise, you just spend the next few weeks going over and over the finer details.

To be honest, im not fussed whether is 30, 40 or 50. At the end of the day it's organised PvP with redname support=win.

hero epics&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;villain epics. set level to 40=a measure towards balncing the divide, and a way to encourage villain teams into the competition.

Do not flame the decision of the organisers that got off their [censored] and organised an event in the first place. If you can not cope with the rule changes, go start x5...

If the rules were; everyone had to appear in pink pants and play Ar/devices blasters @level 10 then I for one choose to join. I may be alone,, but my comp my rules.

solo or team?

Like the title says, what would be your ultimate pentad team and what tactics would you employ with them?

Ive always wondered how an all defense based team would fare, ie:

Controller: Illusion/FF/Energy
Defender: FF/Psi/TK
Tanker: Ice/EM/Ice (2 taunts and fear)
Scrapper: Spines/SR/Weapons (two taunts and fear)
Blaster: Fire/EM/Ice
All toons with leadership pool+veng.

Tactics: Stay in a tight group. Put the 2 detention fields on opposition blaster/defender. Tank/scrapper taunt counterparts and due to high def, would be hard to be taunted. Using tk/force bubble/tpfoe, pin down opposition troller and let blaster let rip. Then take out scrapper. Probably most effective indoors.
