  1. Just yesterday for me. I was doing some test costumes and on a whim I tried one and said, "that can't possibly be available!" and OMG!

Deleted the costume test and made the character.
  2. Actually, blasters don't need more Secondaries, they need Better Secondaries.

Id think giving them a few more would be nice, not to mention that theres a few id personally want to use on a Blaster.

The following sets are on my wish list for Blaster Secondaries.

    Martial Arts
    Dual Blades
    Katana
    Claws

Thats just what id like Personally.

Anyone else feel there arnt enough secondaries for Blasters?

Everyone is blueside There is another player who runs on vside so I can duo. Otherwise I have to pug it if I want a team there.

Made my stalker a Rogue since you can actually get mission teams there.
Heck, I am in the process of making most of my villains rogues/heroes. Once I get them to 40+, do the Patron Arc and get the invader badge I wave bye bye to RI forever.

Redside is mostly AE begging in Cap and farming 53s in Grandville.
  4. I'm guessing they might just try to squeeze in more since that "other" game has been delayed to 2011.
  5. I would expect incarnates to make for more corner solutions. I certainly don't envy Posi's task.

I wouldn't describe it as highly "Selective" just a symptom of a different problem. If I want to go on one of those I can pretty much do so anytime during primetime hours. When I see TFs requesting tank/healer or level 50s only I tend to avoid those. Tank/healer requests are usually a sign of a weak team leader and level 50 only reads "ludicrous speed" run with IO'ed characters. A speed run is fun in moderation, maybe 2 or 3 per week is ok. I usually ask the leader if the TF/SF is a speed run before I decide to join. Heck, these days its assumed to be a speed run unless the person says otherwise.

I know what you mean about Stalkers Test_Rat. I joking call them in my SG chat as forced solo mode. I keep a log on average time to get a team with LFG flag up. The numbers for a Stalker are just sad.

I mean look at the RSF/STF/BSF now. Teams are highly selective for these already, so it can be expected that tougher challenged will be even more selective.

If the Undesirables have great difficulty to get on these teams now, will have a harder time completing thier Incarnate slotting since they will be forced to use the solo grind methods, isn't it just a feedback loop where they fall farther and farther behind?
  6. I'd say I am not a fan of forced teaming or forced soloing.

There should be a way for both teamers and soloers to access content. It should probably take longer to solo, so convience comes at a price.

Speaking of solo. Since i18 came out, I noticed a drop in TFs/SFs being run. I'm wondering if people soloing tips missions has something to do with this. 10 tips missions + 1 morality mission = 1 a-merit = 5 random rare rolls = 100 merits.

    Does such an animal exist?

About the only thing that comes to mind are summoners. Death Shamans and Commnunications officers.

So what we need is, a summoner who is immune to mez and KB who spams lots of 0xp stuff, is resistant to all forms of damage except lethal. Lethal it takes +100% damage, has +120% to hit buff and spams -def and -res attacks that is auto hit and untyped damage.
  8. It floats between a 2-3.5 to 1 hero to villain ratio depending on the time of day and depending on server. It assumes visible and the possibility that people are being counted twice because of Pocket D/RWZ. So Raids can skew this fast.

    Praetoria has slowly declining numbers.
  9. Reason is simple.

    Atlas Safeguard/Mayhem = Raptor Pack
    10000 = Raptor Pack

If a Super Speed pack with its inherent stealth was purchaseable for 10000 guess how popular Super Speed would be?

HP technical support says that my comp has another slot for a video card, and that installing another one will fix things where I can play CoH and other stuff. My computer is 5 years old and I don't want to spend too much money on it, when that money could go towards a new computer at some point. I just want to know if there are any good, cheap video cards that run CoX well, so I can make getting back to playing cost effective. Thanks.
Your probably looking at an ATI 5670 (which can run normal gfx just fine) and does not require any aux power. The card is a bit pricey at around $80 but should be more than you need (if you don't mind non ultra).

Can it run ultra mode? Yes but only at fairly minimal settings. In normal mode you can park yourself under atlas and watch power fireworks shows and the card is fine.

I'd say this card is a reasonable compromise since your probably looking for a card that pulls under 75W under full load.
  11. For me anyways Corruptors, Defenders, Stalkers, Peacebringers and Dominators have been the hardest for me to really find enjoyable. Getting better I think since I have a goal of getting one of each AT to 50 and IMHO Peacebringer was probably the hardest.

I have the corruptor I find fun now. DP/Kin I have lots of defenders in the mid 30s but that is where they mostly stall. I have a Traps/AR I am looking forward to trying out.

Clearly we don't really know if it's even remotely "Earth-like", but even the Moon or Mars would be "habitable" inside well-constructed indoor environments.

I think the problem is you're holding the word "habitable" to a far higher standard than it deserves for the purposes of this discussion. It's not like we're going to get there anytime soon anyway and by then we may have found an even more likely "Earth-like" candidate by then.
We simply don't know enough. All we found was a world in a potential goldilocks zone. Its possible for this world to have too much greenhouse effect and be too hot. The planet so still rather close to Glese 581 so its most likely tide locked with its 37 day orbit. M class stars might be more unstable and be more prone to violent solar flares which would blow away Glese 581g's atmosphere.
  13. I guess we will find out soon. I expect most of the dev time is being used getting i19 ready before that other game comes out.

I'd rather they make sure i19 releases with less bugs than get a Halloween event and a buggy i19.

    DO THIS CASTLE:
    • Solar Flare: Reduce KB magnitude to 0 from 4.1. The Solar Flare change maintains the KB that some folks enjoy, but lessens the scatter a bit.
I would say remove all KB from Solar Flare and all the Peacebringer attacks.

-I've seen quite a few Corruptors everywhere.

-Of all the people trying Kin Melee, I can count the number of KM Tankers I've seen at any level since Loyalty Beta started until now on 1/2 a hand. Being a new set, one expects higher than usual numbers of people rolling KM.

-Of all the melee AT's coming into Talos after 'graduating' from Praetoria, Brutes and Scrapper are the overwhelming majority, with Brutes edging out Scrappers for the lead.

-I've not rolled any new Tankers myself since GR went Live, nor do I have any desire to. I compare it to buying an RC Spitfire model kit that's missing half of the wing parts. Knowing the end product will be incomplete destroys any joy in putting together what is there. You can call it a plane, but is it really without two wings?

    .
I have to agree with this. Defenders have the lowest numbers in Praetoria from the searches I have done.

My guess on the larger number of villain ATs is from blueside players who refused/hated to play redside.

Part of the problem I have with Praetoria is that its not as "team" friendly as PC and RI. The single player only missions and poorly scaling content being the problems. Too many ambushes and not enough endurance. There is also lots of energy attacks at levels where energy defense/res isn't always available and stamina isn't there to allow melee types to keep the toggles up.

  17. Your not missing much, when I team in Praetoria I lose lots of time watching all the wipeouts. I have a much more enjoyable time soloing than teaming in Praetoria.
  18. I'd like to hear how you feel about it after you had a chance to break it in.

Now for a little bit more detail on the modes and buttons.

    There are 3 main modes:

Basic 123 - Makes the Thumb Grid respond to the 1- 0 and _/+ across the top of your keyboard as 1-10, 11/12

Advanced NUM - Makes the Thumb Grid respond the same way for numbers above, except on your NUMPAD. This benefit is great for making binds to your NUMPAD for use with your Naga

CoH Naga UI - Pops up a tray just like the ones you can already have, (and counts as one) that is 3x4. Your Thumb Grid responds to it in the same way it would your normal trays in Basic 123. You can use 11/12 to scroll through your trays as -/+

Finally there is the maverick approach. You can fully customize your buttons through the Macro Editor. I haven't played around or figured it out yet, but it's supposed to open up a lot of possibilities through infinite profiles.
  19. Personally, I would go +2 hold and damage procs

    That sounds like Kim Possible.

There is nothing fun about farming. So whatever you find least boring I guess.

Most ATs can farm. To maximize your farm you have to first decide what you plan to farm. So if you plan to farm Malta, pick something resistant to end drain. If you plan to farm Observers, play something with lots of resists since Observers have lots of to hit buff. The correct "best" is only answered once you decide what you plan to farm.
  21. Ok

We have Minions, Lts, Bosses, EBs, Heros, AVs and Lazy Catgirls??????

    Bobcat is a Lazy Catgirl!

We going to see more Lazy Catgirls?
  22. Thanks, I had asked about a month ago if any CoX users had this mouse and got a bunch of thread derail posts.

    Nicely done!
  23. Worse when the energy/energy PP gets MoG off, you get REDUCED xp for them!
  24. I did find another clue in the auction house. On the table there is a picture of Atlas Park. It says something about why is there a picture of a man holding Praetoria and its not Cole.
