  1. OK. I was able to spare an enhancement unslotter. Had more left than I thought from super packs.

I unslotted the Kheldian's Grace Recharge/Form Empowerment and placed it in my enhancement tray then picked it up to see if I could place it in White Dwarf Sublimation. Nope. White Dwarf Sublimation can NOT take the Kheldian's Grace ATO set at all. I unslotted another ATO to be sure and no this power can't take the ATO set at all. I can't think of a single enhancement set where a power will only take 1 of the set and not the whole thing. It's either all of the set or you can't slot any of it.

#1 Kheldian's Grace clearly states: This enhancement can only be slotted by Peacebringers and Warshades and may be slotted into any of their >Damage< powers.

#2 White Dwarf Sublimation is a self heal only power and can not be used on NPCs or other players.

#3 After testing, White Dwarf Sublimation can NOT take the ATO set at all.

#4 Except for the Recharge/Form Empowerment, all of the other 5 in the Kheldian ATO set enhances damage. Sure, White Dwarf Sublimation "could" use the non damage aspects of the ATO, but the fact remains that the set is a "damage" set and thus the power can not accept the set at all.

I have a free program called Irfanview that has a screen shot function. I press alt+enter to put the game in windowed mode and that is the only way I can take a screen shot while in the enhancement manage window since pressing prnt scrn in game doesn't do anything. But......I see no way to provide a screen shot on the forums. I'm guessing it's either a VIP only feature, or there is a way to do it but I don't know how. So at this time I am unable to provide evidence on the subject to you guys.
  2. I was placing my ATOs for my Peacebringer into a couple powers when I had my mouse hover over a power and thought I saw something wrong. I put my mouse back over that power and sure enough, it has a text error.

White Dwarf Sublimation - Self Heal
Allowed Enhancement Set categories: Kheldian archetype sets, Healing

Notice anything wrong? This power is a self heal only and does not do any damage or interact with enemies or other players at all. It can NOT accept ATOs at all. I noticed this after I had placed my ATOs on a couple powers and didn't want to wast an enhancement unslotter, trying to use them sparingly, to remove an ATO and see if White Dwarf Sublimation would highlight when I pick up the ATO from my enhancement tray, but I don't recall seeing it highlight when I was placing them.
  3. The good news is, as I have stated that after clicking log in, getting the error page, then clicking back and seeing I was logged in, I was able to click Ask a Question, fill out the support ticket, submit it, and received the automated email response.

The bad news is, I went to https://help.ncsoft.com/app/answers/list
and it is the same exact problem. Something is messed up with the CoH/NC Soft support sites.

Normally I could log into the NC Soft support site and would be able to click My Stuff and see all my recent support history for both Guild Wars and City of Heroes, but CoH has its own support site at the address I said in my first post.

Edit: I clicked Log In straight to the right of My Stuff and had a small pop up window appear. I logged in and was still on the Answers page instead of getting the error message......until I click My Stuff. I'm guessing something is goofed up with the My Stuff page.

Note: my NC Soft Support account I created in 2006, and as stated since I can see support tickets in my history from both GW and CoH, my username and password are the same for both support sites. https://help.ncsoft.com/app/answers/list and https://support.cityofheroes.com/

I have never had a problem before. I have submitted support tickets to that support website since I've been playing the game.

Edit: Yes I do know that. My NC Soft/CoH support account is a different log in(username/password) than my NC Soft master account. I did not log into my master account and try to contact support that way, if that is what you were referring to. You can't do it that way as far as I can tell.

P.S. forgive me if I misunderstood what you meant. I know what 2+2 is but sometimes I have trouble putting 2 and 2 together if someone is not very specific.
  5. I found a bug in the game and took a screen shot and went to https://support.cityofheroes.com/
as I always do so I could report it. The problem is, when I click My Stuff then log in after typing my username and password, it immediately takes me to a blank white page with text that reads "There has been an error with your request.". That is all it says. I go back to the support site and now every time I click My Stuff to log in it doesn't even take me to the log in page. It just goes to that blank page with that error message.

I clear out my browser cookies and can once again get to the log in page but it happens again. Takes me to that error page. Clear cookies, click log in, error page, go back, click My Stuff, error page no log in.

OK after typing this up I tried again and noticed after clicking back once I click to log in, I am actually logged in. But, I am not able to see my history and when I click My Stuff I get the error message. I can click log out then click My Stuff, log in, get the error, go back and I'm logged in.

Anybody else having weird issues with the support site?
  6. The text description for the power 'Physical Perfection' in the Stalker Ancillary power pool 'Weapon Mastery' is incorrect. It states "You must be level 41 and have Conserve Power or Focused Accuracy before selecting this power." Weapon Mastery does not have either Focused Accuracy or Conserve power and Physical Perfection in this power pool can be taken at level 35.

The info seems to be copied over from Physical Perfection in the Body Mastery ancillary pool for Scrappers/Stalkers and the Energy Mastery ancillary pool for Brutes/Tankers. Both those power pools have Conserve Power and Focuses Accuracy and Physical Perfection is taken at level 41 when 1 of those 2 powers are taken prior.

I first noticed this in Mids when planning out a build a couple days ago for my first Stalker and thought it was a bug in Mids. I posted on the Titan Network forums and was told that Mids copies its info from the game so I should file a bug report with CoH. I mentioned since my stalker was new I didn't want to file a bug report because I had no way to see in game if it was indeed a bug. Then someone mentioned I could type the power into the chat, [Physical Perfection], although that brought up the info on the Body Mastery power. I figured out the command was actually [Weapon Mastery.Physical Perfection] and sure enough, the info was wrong.

    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Weapon_M...cal_Perfection
The wiki info seems to be correct as to what the power in game SHOULD show in the info.

Note: I sent in a support ticket before coming here. I came here to see if anybody else can confirm this bug. It can be confusing and make players think they need to wait until level 41 to take this power when they can actually take it at level 35 minimum.

  8. OK. Thanks all. I'll register there and post the bug as suggested.

Edit: OK.......registration is currently disabled on the Titan Network website.
  9. I found an info text error in Mids on a particular power that has a big inaccuracy in it. Is there an all access section on the forums I can post the bug so the Mids people will become aware of it and fix it when they have a chance? If not on the CoH forums, any ideas where I can go? Thank you for your time.
  10. Have not logged into the game yet today and I have never had the problem you are describing so far. You can reorder your characters on the character select screen. Click a character and hold the left mouse button then drag the bar to another spot and release the mouse button. You can drag the bar to the left/right edges of the screen to place your character on another page. Hope this helps.

    Best antivirus?

I run Windows 7 64-bit with Microsoft Security Essentials for my anti-virus software. It's completely free, very simple user interface, and it not only checks/detects viruses but also spyware and other malware. In fact, shortly before posting this, I turned on my computer and first thing I did was check for Windows updates and there was a version update for Security Essentials.
  12. Sorry for the late response. And sorry for being a bit rude earlier. I was tired and a bit grumpy that day. Please forgive me.
  13. http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancement_Catalyst
"Catalysts are obtained from Super Packs, and also as rare drops during Incarnate content."

Incarnate content is VIP only. To my knowledge, the only way for non VIP to get catalysts is from super packs. It really sucks though. Out of about 500-600 super packs (I lost count) I opened I received less than 60 catalysts. Not quite enough for 10 characters and I have 30 character slots. And sometimes I open about 15-20 super packs or possibly more before I finally get another catalyst, though I have gotten 2-3 in a row. The drop rate is ridiculously low. I can buy the $100 paragon point bundle and use the 8 tokens to get 40 free super packs and get only 1-2 catalysts from them.

Judging by the rate I get catalysts from super packs, I would probably have to open another 1,000+ super packs to get enough for all my characters.

P.S. Catalysts are character bound and can't be mailed to yourself to use on other characters. Players have been complaining about this since the day catalysts came out. VIP players often times end up with more than enough catalysts on a single character and are completely stuck with the rest. Some player's answer to this is something like "well there are new ATO sets on beta so your catalysts will be useful eventually". Problem is, even if there is a new ATO set for each archetype, it will eventually be the same situation: stuck with extras you can't use on other characters. Which means you would have to do incarnate content on every single character you need catalysts for.

Actually, if you go to the last page on the link I provided about the problem, there are posts from a few days ago that seem to indicate the problem with the free paragon points and reward tokens is still happening.

This has been an ongoing problem since the game switched over to Freedom.

I would have posted this in the discussion thread for it, however for some reason I do not have the permissions to post in there. I don't know why, but that's beside the point.
"Please remember that you must have had an ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTION during the period spanning December 1st, 2011 and March 31st, 2012 in order to be eligible for these rewards!"

How hard is it for people to understand that you had to maintain a VIP SUBSCRIPTION during the mentioned time period?!

I don't remember offhand what exactly that item was, though. Anyway, whatever that item is, copy the code for how those items are collected and patch in a conversion process for the first time each character logs in. Simple, right?
1 type of item I can think of that is account bound and can be traded to your global only are the set enhancements you buy in the paragon market in game.

The problem is that Catalysts are special salvage, under the Special tab, and as far as I know all special salvage is character bound only. I imagine the coding for special salvage is a lot different than enhancements and regular salvage so coding it would be difficult. Another thing I think may happen: if they can make Catalysts account bound, players will see that it is indeed possible to make special salvage tradable, they may then ask to have merits or other special salvage tradable to their accounts. And if they made Catalysts tradable between players and auctionable then players may demand to be able to trade merits to other players. Just a theory and I could be dead wrong on that.

Personally I would prefer that Catalysts be tradable and could be sold in the auction between players. But I think the reason they didn't do this, is because the only way for non VIP to obtain catalysts are from super packs and they know they can make more money that way (and probably that special salvage code thingy). I've opened around 600 super packs, give or take, and received less than 60 catalysts. (At least half the super packs I got were from paragon reward tokens so I didn't pay for those.)

OK I double checked. For me every single belt except the Leather Studded belt is showing up on the character's waist.
  19. Back in February, I had a praetorian in the Underground Imperial auction house in the resistance base for a 3 days straight before checking on him to see his badge progress. The problem was, there was no progress. The progress bar didn't even show up in the Day Job Badge list at all. So I thought maybe that location was bugged and tried the actual auction house in Imperial city and logged out there for a few days. Still no progress bar at all whatsoever. The day job icon shows up on the buff/debuff bar in both locations indicating you should be able to get a badge. I had checked this recently with a character and still no progress bar for the day job badge.

The auction house in Imperial city, above ground just southwest of the train station, has power suppression active meaning you can't use any kind of powers whatsoever inside the building. A few months ago the resistance underground bases in all 3 Praetoria zones had power suppression, as well as the Neutropolis zone event The Great Escape, and was removed as a fix.

I sent in a support ticket back then, in February, and still this problem is not fixed, at least for the day job badge. Not sure if the Imperial city auction is suppose to have power suppression or not.

    Anybody else try this out?
  20. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=288025

I had already started a thread about this exact bug. And no, it doesn't happen with all belts. So far for me it is just the Leather Studded Belt that doesn't show.

For a full list of Going Rogue badges, see my "Going Rogue Badges" post.

    Edit:
There are a couple possible badges that you -might- get for that mission though.

Loyalist - (Praetorian) You spent some effort bolstering the Praetorian regime of Emperor Cole, or at least appearing to do so.
Resistance Member - (Praetorian) You have lent your support to the Praetorian Resistance to overthrow Emperor Cole, or at least appeared to do so.
Moral High Ground - (Praetorian) (Choose morality 5 times)

None of these 3 badges are specific to this mission, just that you can get credit for any of the three.
Actually that mission gave you a choice to take Vanessa in or deliver her to Mother Mayhem, not change your alignment. The pop up to choose loyalist or resistance didn't happen here.

At the time I started this thread I already had the Loyalist, Resistance Member, and Moral High Ground badges.

So the badges that only Praetorians can get would be the alignment badges? Everything else is exploration, history, and zone events?

Don't know what I was thinking. Must have confused it with a badge somewhere else in the game.

    Thanks for responding though.
  22. Upper body set to jackets on all body types (male, female, and huge) the Leather Studded Belt from the Pocket D Valentines pack is missing on the character's waist in the costume creation window. The belt is in the list but just doesn't show up on the character itself. I have selected a few different jackets where you would be able to see the belt and it just doesn't show. On 1 female character I had the Pocket D costume already on (Quilted Jacket and pants from the set) but had a different belt and decided to switch to the Leather Studded Belt to make the costume more complete when I noticed it wasn't on my character's waist. I hoped, and was wrong, that this was a bug with the costume creator. I accepted the change and zoomed in to look at the front of my character. She was standing there beltless. This was aggravating because it cost me over 200k inf to change it and that's with the 50% discount from paragon rewards.

I opened a support ticket that day, March 31, to report the bug. I checked back the next day on the ticket only to find that within 2 hours after submitting the ticket, a higher GM reviewed it, gave the automated "the software may not be working as intended" response and closed the ticket..........on a Saturday no less.

I have at least 1 male character and 1 female character where the belt was on their costumes prior to a recent patch and still show up on the character themselves, but when I enter the tailor window with them the belt is set to NONE and with a inf fee showing for the change, and when I choose the Leather Studded Belt it doesn't show up on the character's waist. I will not be changing anything about those costumes at all until this is fixed.

Note: It also does not show up with the upper body set to sleeveless jackets.

I think the recent patch that added the female Metallic Dress Top to the jacket and other upper body categories is when the bug occurred, although I don't understand why it happened to male characters.
  23. http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Mother_M...Vanessa_DeVore

I did this mission last night on my Praetorian I am working on finishing missions on before I leave Praetoria. I have other characters I have gone through Praetoria with in the past and did this story arc. I could have sworn before there was a badge for defeating the elite boss in this mission, Vanessa DeVore, and I'm pretty sure I had gotten the badge in the past. I don't remember what the badge was called, but I didn't get the badge last night, or any badge for completing the Praetor Tilman missions. I remember this specifically because it was the only badge you couldn't get on a non-Praetorian for completing a certain mission/story arc, or if you you had outleveled the story arc on a Praetorian. (I am excluding the the Praetorian only badges for changing alignments in Praetoria as this badge had nothing to do with alignment changes there)

I checked around in the Pargon Wiki for badges and all and couldn't find any trace of the badge for completing this particular mission/story arc.

So I am left with 1 of 2 possibilities:
#1) The badge use to exist and sometime in the last couple months or so the badge was removed from the game with no mention of it at all, or it was mentioned and I don't remember or didn't see it on the forums and/or patch notes. (been a while since I ran through Praetoria, like 3 months or more)
#2) My memory is completely faulty and the badge never existed in the first place.

Anybody have any thoughts? Am I imagining things?

Also, Paragon just stole $5 from me. It counts as theft if they make something irresistible, right?
I went to a tailor to check it for you. It does appear to be a duplicate costume piece. I zoomed in and had changed the colors around on both and they look exactly the same. As for the $5 thing you mention there, you may want to edit that out.

    COH/Windows 7

It has something to do with the Windows UAC and installing the game in the default location. You could try changing the install directory. I had a similar problem when I first started playing the game a few months ago. I run as an administrator because I'm the only person who uses my computer.

I DESPISE the UAC. Even if I right click some programs, and the NC Soft launcher, and select to run it as administrator I get the "are you sure you want to allow the program to make changes to your computer?". Happens every time I go to install a program too. Friggen hate UAC.

Here is how I solved my problem permanently. Clicked Start and in the search box typed in UAC, and turned the [expletive] thing off (moved the slider all the way down to NEVER NOTIFY, then clicked OK). COH runs great with no problems at all and it got rid of all the annoyance I had.
