I'm getting visions of /FF or /Traps paired with /Dark to completely floor the opposing team's chance to hit. O_o
-
Darn, no bonus goodies for me.
Ah, well. Grats to those who got them! -
Quote:Yeah, what JD_Gumby said. It's referring to the difficulty settings for your missions (notice the line at the top of the missions dropdown) that you can alter at a Field Analyst or Fateweaver. The first number is the mission's level relative to the normal level of the mission (shown in ()'s in front of each mission entry) and the second is how many players you are equivalent to (which only affects spawn sizes, not whether there are Bosses or Archvillains in the mission - those have their own settings).

Easy solution:
People who want to talk about the usual stuff and be sensitive of social issues and the feelings of others, go to VU.
People who want to talk about the usual stuff and say whatever they want without being held accountable can go to bpphantom's channel.
Ta-da! -
What about /Elec as a primary? Granted, any +END it gives is trivial, but every little bit helps. Plus, it has two AOE knockdown powers for extra mitigation.
-
My experience has been that I can solo most effectively on a Brute. I have my Electric/Invulnerability one set to -1/x3 and while I faceplant sometimes, it's definitely a fun smashfest all around.

Quote:I was on that! While it wasn't a Master run, there was an all Stalker ITF on my server a while back. I wonder how feasible it would be if they tried it again.
The most difficult part, if I remember correctly, was actually either that dang Nictus mission or fighting the generals in the third mission. We got KOd soooooo many times. -
I'm going to play it on a Brute, I just haven't decided what primary I want yet. Claws and Fire both look fun and seem to have decent DPS.
-
That's not much for resists, but it's decent enough in a pinch and with enough HP, I suppose.
Thanks for the help! -
Will someone please direct me to where I can see a chart or table or some other representation showing how the +Resist scales with the state of the health bar? I've looked around both here and Google, but my search-fu seems to be pretty weak.
Thanks! -
My Electric/Invulnerability is my main Brute right now and I solo him on -1/x3. He's very tough but can get in over his head. Plus, he's only level 27, so next level he supposedly really gets to find out the true power of Invulnerability.
Technically, you have 4 single-target attacks before your Patron: Brawl, Charged Brawl, Havoc Punch, and Chain Induction. Chain Induction is technically an AOE-ish power and I like to use it right at the beginning of the fight, but it still works as a fast-activating, medium-damage attack in a pinch. Brawl on Auto and Charged Brawl are excellent ways to gain and maintain Fury. When Patrons open, I plan on going Ghost Widow for the sake of Gloom. -

In an effort to include more realistic content in the game, Mod8 secretly holds a beta for new "Bartender" and "Drunkard" day jobs. -

Mod 8 soon found out the power of the internet when forum trolls he had banned that morning followed him to his night job. -
My main villain right now is an Electric Melee/Invulnerability Brute. Sure, I could probably get better overall Resistance numbers by rolling /Elec, but I wouldn't look nearly as shiny!

A young Nemesis forgets to pick up his toys. -
Okay, great! This should hopefully be enough to prove the point, since anecdotes of playing the set didn't seem to convince the person.
Thanks so much for the help, everybody! -
Do you know about when the XP steal was fixed? I'm unsure what patch notes to look at so that I can prove that it's fixed to someone else. Google Search has so far only pulled up info about the jump/proc relationship being fixed and a Redcap animation fix.
-
I heard today that Chain Induction has historically been bugged and hurts XP gain. Is that still true?

Plant Control, for the sole fact that the Fly Trap creeps me the **** out.

Since you're new to Masterminds, here's a tip: one of the things I always have to get used to when I start a new Mastermind is that I'm not really expected to attack the enemy, my pets are. Veteran and Temp Powers help ease the transition, but in the 2 years that I've been playing, it's still a drastic change in playstyle for me. So, if you feel a little disoriented with this feeling that you should be doing something more in a battle, know that it's okay and should eventually pass as you get more powers and thus more things to do.
Because I have that "button mashing" mentality, I prefer sets that keep me busy. If you have a similar mentality, you may want to check out Necro/Thermal. The sets synergize well together, and with all the buffs and debuffs available in the set you will probably never run out of something to do.
Either way, I hope you find a set that works good for you. Masterminds are a fun class, especially for those of us with ADD tendencies.
