So, I got to asking myself, "Jay, what do you feel like doing that is both epic and completely off the charts?" And I came up with an answer: a cataclysmic war involving TONS Masterminds (or as many as we can get) on the test server at an appointed date in the future in teams of 5. I not only believe this event will be the most epic Mastermind event since the idea of an all MM Hami-Raid (still to be seen). You m ust be asking why I would even bother to post this in the first place if it was just a personal idea.

Let me answer you...

I plan to make this happen IF enough people in the Mastermind boards are interested. If so, then I will organize a date, a team roster, and possibly even go as far as to attempt to get help from other popular event teams we have on these forums. Something along the lines of temporary yellow titles on the live servers for the participants of the war?

This is all just a dream of grandeur right now, but with enough backing support I will see what I can do/look into further. All I wanna do with this is put the idea out there and confirm the interest in it.

Might have to do it in Warburg since I think the max for an arena match is 64. Not sure what the cap is for a regular zone, but it should be more.

I intend on doing it in Warburg on the Test Server so that people from all servers can join the insanity. That is to say if the idea is well received.

Hmm, test server? Then uhm.. Poison Bloom, level 50 Ninja/Poison mastermind. Will need to know when though. I plan on partying down on the 28th with the devs.

What would be the point? 1 in 100 shots hit and it's like 20 damage to all maybe, but so what? the pain/thermals will heal that up right away. A nerver ending fight! also you can try killthe mastermind which has around 2 000 health due to bodyguard. No one will ever die!
Like imagine using all the ammo in the world and 1 hits them, they won't die they are minorly harmed with the pain and thermal healers around.
Wait im confused for some reason.

oh yah that's right! It will be never ending, the only chance someone, or all of you will die is if a ton of masterminds turn blueside and fight eachother ontop and really close around a burning building when the big bang happens!

Heh, you never fought a /poison have you? In two debuffs I nuke your ability to be healed, your regen rate, AND your ability to heal. Plus to-hit, damage, resistance, and defense. And about any defense debuff resistance you might have? I'm also debuffing your ability to grant defense buffs to begin with. Not to mention any controls you might have are reduced to 0.25% power.

Put it this way, when I fight a /poison AV in architect on Madam Enigma, I worry. If envenom hits, even with a 3 slotted for defense Elude, I'm *maybe* getting 15% defense before the def debuff is applied.

There's a reason regen scrappers feared Madam Enigma. I once saw a regen scrapper hit Reconstruction after I debuffed them, and it healed for only 25 points at level 50. Dull Pain also proved less then useful. And instant healing? It was a joke after my debuffs. Ok, MoG was annoying. But still not helpful.

Mass amounts? Pain Domination gives 11.25% (enhanced) with World of Pain, and 22.5% (enhanced) with Conduit of Pain (which only applies to self, and can only be used once a teammate dies).

World of Pain is equal to Tactics, and requires a fair bit of +Rech investment in order to be perma. Plus, Tactics is nearly twice WoP's radius.

If you want to counter a team full of FF and Dark users, you'd do better to bring yellow inspirations and a Poison. (Note that a small yellow is equal to unenhanced WoP/Tactics for MMs, and a medium yellow is almost equal to enhanced CoP)

yeah, but how will your poison touch me in the firat place when i have 120% defense? you willl be throwing your poison is every direction but the right one Madam!

That's why in PvP I carry a good stock of lucks. Plus all those /pain masterminds if it's teams of us. All it takes is one hit. And will you have 120% defense all the time?

i hopre so, ill be a bots/ff and my friendvwould be too. pus the other characters that come with juicy secondarys. But hanks for the tip ill bring lucks to if this were to happen, but if it happens ill most likely be at school or doing homeowrk or at my dad's bad internet house or the biggest OR, i'll be asleep during it.

Heh, lucks don't help once envenom and weaken are on ya. One of the debuffs is -special... It nukes your ability to buff defense by 75% or so. Along with most any other buff or mez and many debuffs. It's why a /sr scrapper is such easy prey. Need just enough tohit to smack them once, and then their entire secondary is negated. I watched Madam Enigma's defense go from 120% to -5% because of a /poison mastermind. They got me through elude due to insight ODing, then could hit me any time they wanted.
