Elec/Invuln

Been toying with the idea of doing an elec/invuln and wondered if anyone had done one before. I was thinking of maxing out my s/l defense with some kin combats and the resist set which adds to that as well.

Just an idea so let me know what you all think.

Elec is a nice primary and Invul is a kicker of a secondary

Wise choice to use kinetic combats...if you dont mind paying the price..if you find any low lvl i'd always suggest to save them.

Softcapping invul isnt hard if u know your bonuses.

I would say go along with it and make one. i think your'll love it. i personally would of made one but have elec on my stalker and dont like to repeat powers on different toons

While both sets are great I am not sure they pair up that well.

Firstly the single target powers in elec are weak so you likely wont take that many (I only took 2) so you are limited where you can put Kinetic Combat. Secondly elecs defining power is Lightning Rod, which will kill most of the mob around you and goes against invulns defining power; Invincibility.

I would personally put elec with a secondary that doesn't rely on lots of mobs being around you to live, and invuln with a more single target based primary.

I'll probably have air superiority and 2 of the single target elec powers in the build. I could slot up brawl for a 4th place to put kin combats but probably should take a real power as long as I'm going to bother to slot it, they can't be that lousy right?

Does anyone know if you have the chance for kd power proc in kin combat slotted in air superiority do they stack to cause knockback?

If I kin combat it up I won't be as worried about invinc keeping me alive with tons of defense and given my long-term plans for the toon I think I'll be ok since I'm hoping to be able herd and kill 2 nemesis packs at a time unlike my current ss/wp who needs to do the groups one at a time.

My Electric/Invulnerability is my main Brute right now and I solo him on -1/x3. He's very tough but can get in over his head. Plus, he's only level 27, so next level he supposedly really gets to find out the true power of Invulnerability.

Technically, you have 4 single-target attacks before your Patron: Brawl, Charged Brawl, Havoc Punch, and Chain Induction. Chain Induction is technically an AOE-ish power and I like to use it right at the beginning of the fight, but it still works as a fast-activating, medium-damage attack in a pinch. Brawl on Auto and Charged Brawl are excellent ways to gain and maintain Fury. When Patrons open, I plan on going Ghost Widow for the sake of Gloom.
