    You don't get back the price of a plot. If you buy a plot for 3mil then buy a plot for 8mil you just spent 11mil. At least thats how it worked in the beta. Makes plot upgrades bloody expensive.

  3. The only part of AI I have problems with is the pets ability to ignore it. Passive and stay there. Trot round the corner only to see my pets launch an attack against the baddies in the next room.

    For the record The supergroup I am is has got 1/2 the healing badge. I have been in sg mode since level 4, and healed like a loon during some missions to keep people alive. I am beginning to think it is either a bug or you have to heal someone in your sg, while both of you are in sg mode.

    When you upgrade theplot you get to drop the new space over the top of your existing base. It shouldn't effect anything that has already been placed. Like I say shouldn't

    In fact you get 20k per member for the first 15.

    It doesn't take long to get a supergroup base up and running. With a handfull of active members playing in supergroup mode you should be able to get the basics in a few weeks. A large supergroup playing regularly in supergroup mode you should be able to rack up enough prestige in no time.

    A basic base, Consisting of power, control and a workbench will cost you 750k. Teleporter rooms cost 150k, a crafted telepad costs 15k, beacons cost 10k each. Crafting a telepad is extremely easy I have enough salvage to build about 20 of the damn things at level 25. Been in the supergroup for about 15 levels.

    Most items constructed can't be bought off the shelf. But for those that can. usualy yes.

    Ask on the request channel ingame. people have been buying and selling salvage. I am considering setting up a store of sorts myself.
  9. I commented on this in beta. Did you know that with 3 torches and 2 stair cases you can completely block a room? try it. Plave 2 ramps in the middle of each side then a torch at the top of the stairs sort of a TRTRT looking thing. Unless you have another enterance into the room the room is classed as blocked.

    I experienced this last night and I didn't make any of the mistakes listed here. For the record the exact sequence of events.

    Go to forge and click on it.
    filter by not createable here and not got ingredients.
    Theres the arcane teleporter, expand out the entry.
    There is no picture associated with it so where there should be a picture it is blank.
    I have 11 foci and only need 6
    So hit the create button.
    then hit the create button.
    then hit the create button.
    Nothing. Still got the foci and not got a teleporter. The tech one creates correctly. But not the arcane one.

    My advice is to go back to your table, try it again, then bug it. The more bug reports they get on the same problem the more likely it is to be fixed.
  11. I diversly altered my slots to 3dam, 2 recharge, 1 end red in all my attacks. I am an AR/Dev so I put 3 slots into my drone and don't worry about accuract. Then dropped hasten completely. I keep the fitness line as it helps after a battle to be ready for the next one.

    You can wind some people up with just a simple phrase. I stomped a guy into the ground and stood over his battered body and said "so you come here often?" He went absolutely mental. I just had to get him again. This time though I said "Do you like it down there or what?". More psycho rating from him and a threat that I was going to "get mine". So the third time I pounded him into the ground. I asked "so you going to bring a pillow next time?". His responses had me laughing so hard I couldn't see the screen properly. He got immensly wound up just from the most innocent of phrases and to top it all off he kept coming looking for me. ah the joy of a tanker. Some brutes just don't learn.

    Its a good idea but I can think of 2 ways to abuse that system right now.

    I still think the best way is to simply up the new membership bonus from 15k to something around 50k, or maybe 100k and raise the cap to maybe 750k. That way getting a functional base *should* be relatively easy, but getting all the bells and whistles will still be a huge drama for the smaller SGs.

    Want to really help the smaller supergroups. give everyone 500k for starting a supergroup and no bonus for additional members. You still need to earn 250k before you get a workshop running. However you can build some rec rooms and maybe a little power plant to call your own. The bonus would be the same regardless of the size of the supergroup. So someone could start there own SG get the bonus and build there little appartment, other people can invite more people, earn the pres and get medical bays, workshops, teleporters and loads of other things. Would solve having to recode for player owned houses too.

    The amount of name calling type incidents seem to be growing in proportion to the PvP. More PvP more 1337. I actually teamed with someone for a single mission the other day that informed me "u 15 Ub3r l33t" shame my pc crashed.

    Cheapest you can get a base running for is 750k or 775k for both arcane and tech workbenches. However this is only running. no advanced stuff.

    Ok your wrong Actually my blaster can't stop a stalker smashing him. My defender can't and neither can my scrapper. Ok the scrapper will accept the blow and wipe the floor with the stalker, but thats not the point. The one shot kill thing went into a huge debate on the old boards. I think the conclusion was that one shot kill is bad but 2 hit kill is fine.
  17. Anything that teleports. My pets chase them and aggro the entire map. Then like good little pets run back to me. However like bad little pets they bring the rest of the map with them.

  19. Some one placing an item and eating up supergroup prestige is not such a big problem. You can always delete it to get the pres back. However the person that placed it will lose any salvage they used to make it.

    Thats just the redraw bug. I spotted that one in the beta. If you repeatedly move the same item when you exit build mode its vanished. The hit box is still in the correct place but no graphics. An exit and an entry usually fixes it.

    I have also seen the item gone for a walk bug. When building my beta base I had a skull decoration that kept vanishing. Its some sort of BSP hole or geometry bug. Try deleting the room and rebuild it. If possible slighty to one side or in a different place. If you can't delete the room try raising or lowering the floor that it is built on or altering the ceiling height. You need to alter the geometry of the room somehow to force the base builder to respec the room properly when you exit.

    When you craft an item, its more like you are desiging a one shot blue print. One designed you have to pay to place it. I don't think your should have to but than I am not a dev.

    Iffy one that. Is the higher or the lower level player the powerleveler? I would say the lower level one as they are the one moving up the levels quickly. Others may argue the other way. Lets call them both powerlevelers its easier. A powerleveler is not necesarily a leacher. Powerlevel an empth and they can still heal and dish out buffs. So are not leaching but they are still powerleveling.

    LART - Leader(luser) Attitude Resjustment Tool. Anything large enough to smash some one over the head with and drive them into the ground like a nail. Used in the context of "If I had a LART I would show you who's boss" or "Time for the pink fluffy LART to make an appearence" or "Don't make me get my LART out"
    Snipering (thought this should be added) - Exactly the opposite of a good pull. A good pull will draw one or two enemies towards you. Snipering will pull the whole mob, any near by mobs and, if you are really good at it, any mobs from other peoples missions in another area.

    Very easily if you think about it and work the numbers.

    e.g.

    If your base consists of 5 functional rooms (control, power, vault, medical, workshop) thats 5 possible doorways that you can start a raid in. Each one gives an instant strike point to an expensive peice of equipment.
    Now add 6 of the smallest decorative rooms and you could get a layout like

    So there are far more doorways leading to decorative rooms than to functional rooms. Also if someone appears in the decorative rooms they have to go into a choke point to get to anything worth destroying or capturing. Any vault room only has a 2 in 13 chance of someone starting in a joining doorway. For the majority the attackers will be the other end of your base.
