Verbal PvP

Trash talk. Yea trash talk. Another way of beating the carp out of your opponent.

In the heat of the battle, emotions usually rise to the surface too. Getting killed n:th time by same group or player tends to [censored] off most of us. You get sudden urge to start using abusive language.

Maybe you shout something like "You n00b lamer blah blah blah" Oooh goes I. Point for me! Maybe I could score some more points? Hmmm how could I wind him up some more? Patronizing attitude always makes people to see everything through blood red haze. And theres more... play l33t, all knowing, loving, plain mean, gloat... so many buttons to press and as a blaster I just HAVE to press them all.

I can almost see the steam coming out of your ears and foam dripping from your mouth on your keyboard when you try to think something witty to reply... but you cant help it. You have already degenerated to the state of 4 year old child in candy store where mum has told you that you cant get all those nice sweets. You start to make mistakes and die even more.

I get a warm feeling in my heart. I smile, lean back on my nice chair and pop open another beer... Ahhhh this is SO MUCH fun

Are you easy to wind up or will you get me to spill my beer and start barking like raving dog?

Grrrr !!!! lamme nOObs !Q!!1

No i dont wind up!

ok.. sometimes i do , but its only to keep my mental sanity :P

nope i am very hard to wind up because i always go into a fight with a happy attitude but if someone starts giving abuse and doesnt stop even after 15 minutes after i ahve beaten him i will start fightng back with /petion (for harresment) or /ignore him/her

its the only grown up resolve for a player who wants to fight because he is so better than everyone else and has a "uber1!!1 pl4y0r bu1ld"- loses the fight - starts throwing abuse and doesnt stop

Watch base-ketball. Plenty of trash talk there.

ANd nope, dont get wound up unless I get Ganked when my system is lagging badly in the middle of teleport...

Oh I got it all wrong. I been asking people about their builds after they mash my face up, asking about how they slot or stuff like that when I should be cussing the back side off them .

Judging by the amount of "u wana taem???!" tells I get (and since messages of that typing/grammar standard get ignored), I might not hear a lot of this sort of thing.

Of course, if it was all of a high class....

"You there! The villainous chap lurking amidst the shrubbery, yes -you-! You bounder! You -cad-! You positive blackguard! Cease your shifty idling in the darkness lest I have my man horsewhip you.. What's that you say? 'lol me = sn1p0r!! u d3d rofl lol u is t3h sux!!' I'm afraid I don't understand your dialect.. perhaps a swift course at the local prep school might assist, hmmm?"

*zapzapzap*

It'll be a pity that I imagine most people will be too busy zapping each other to engage in proper hero/villain banter.

Unless you have some suitably heroic/villainous phrases as keybinds which I will be doing

Wish I had them yesterday when a group of us heroes invaded bloody bay and managed to keep the villains stuck in their own base. I even stood by the arachnos helecopter (the drones all face outwards so if you have an invis power you can hide yourself underneath it) while dropping PA's near the confused villains

And yet I have .wav files of you almost orgasming when you die.

The way i look at it, dying is a good thing, you can only learn from your mistakes.

I havent used this brute in pvp.. Apart from the occasional ganking in Bloody Bay. But the arena is where it all happens, its where all your hardwork on your character pays off, or doesnt.. But there is always room for improvement!

I was one of the heroes in Bloody Bay as well. Got hunted by a stalker for a good 10 mins but eventually gave Ghost Wolf the slip even though he kept telling me he was not the one I was looking for. Hid between
PvP is good for a laugh. I especially love the aerobatic duels in the sky

Also noticed that the stealthed folk leave a trail in the water when they run across it. Nice touch.

It's hard to get me wound up over dying, no penalty for it firstly, secondly if anyone does start giving me hassle it's usually a reply of "Oh no! Someone is arguing with me on the internet! How shall I ever go on?"

Verbal must be done . Before, during and after the battle, goes hand in hand with PvP. Sometimes comments i make are better than an actual victory over an oppenent.

Too many 50's to list here's a few you may know.
Slazenger, Area51, Area53, Area54, Erruption, Mind Plague, Thresher, Sheath, Broadside, Debt

You can wind some people up with just a simple phrase. I stomped a guy into the ground and stood over his battered body and said "so you come here often?" He went absolutely mental. I just had to get him again. This time though I said "Do you like it down there or what?". More psycho rating from him and a threat that I was going to "get mine". So the third time I pounded him into the ground. I asked "so you going to bring a pillow next time?". His responses had me laughing so hard I couldn't see the screen properly. He got immensly wound up just from the most innocent of phrases and to top it all off he kept coming looking for me. ah the joy of a tanker. Some brutes just don't learn.

Smooth Operator, you're a cruel cruel man
Then again, if it works, work it!

Being a holier-than-thou controller, there is nothing more fun than holding some new Leeroy Jenkins impersonator in a chainhold, then taking my time to reply to him in the local chat, giving out a few lengthy lines about how they should have reconsidered attacking an uninterested squishy, and so forth, blah blah blah...
...but then not actually giving them the KO. Just hold them a few more times, bow politely, laugh, then leave

As much as I love PVP, I find it hard as a controller. If I can hold someone effortlessly, it feels like im cheating or bullying a lower-leveller, so I just leave them relatively unharmed. If I cant hold them? I faceplant and swear bloody revenge, but never get it.

Time to be more ruthless methinks.

Ooh.. monologueing! If I encounter this I must remembe to use the time to send out /tells to recruit some (more)teammates
