I have been using iscrapper or itroller et cetera just to show that I have some Incarnate powers without going into long details.

Well it is good enough for pods/phones/tunes so my humble scrappie feels in good company

I have had comments but not one was about what it meant! Everybody had worked it out np.

It is about as eccentric as I get at my age.

I use +3 because I got 5 Incarnate slots and three of them are slotted to a tier that says "This power also gives a level shift". So I figure I got 3 level shifts in total albeit that 2 only work during Incarnate trials/Stuff.

And I am sure you will gets posts explaining exactly how these level shifts are not actually level shifts but I don't care that much about the science, what's on the tin will do me

Edit to add: I actually do not use the +1 2 3 thing in game, but now just use iscrappie/iCorr et cetera lft. I have 5 Incarnate slots all at max so I figure an i for Incarnate says it all

Well I am finding it more rare to actually connect than to not. I am having whole days unable to get anything CoH forum/NcSoft account related to load.

It is really annoying especially when I want to see the Sever Status page as like now

I have read this whole thread and am still not sure if it is me or them that is causing the problem. I am able to connect to every other web site in the know universe that I try except CoH so I can only assume (that word again) that it is them.

Only had this problem for about a month and all the years before were just normal.

Apologies for not bringing anything new to the party (non techie here), but am so frustrated with this, that really I needed a sympathetic shoulder to wail on

Mortimer Kal Strike Force

• Mortimer Kal, a venerable wizard and member of the Midnight Squad, has been spotted in Sharkhead Isle. Rumors abound that he has secret information regarding Incarnate artifacts and ways of seizing such power. But whispers amongst dark circles tell of a weakness of his which can be exploited to force him to reveal those secrets to anyone brave enough to cross him.
• A special Tip Mission now drops for villains and rogues in the Rogue Isles greater than level 20 revealing Mortimer Kal's weakness. Completing this mission will allow you to start Mortimer Kal's Strike Force with a team of at least 4 villains between levels 20 and 40.
• Only the leader of the Strike Force needs to have completed the Tip Mission to unlock Mortimer Kal as a contact.

Gotta Keep them Seperated - Defeat both the AV's without moving them from their original locations.

Ran four successful BAF's last night and always used the tennis court and pulling the AV's together.

Seige in particular was always ready to run off and we did have to repull him a couple of times.

So do we know just how much of an area in the original locations count as the original locations?

What happens if they take off for a short sprint?

Do we have to lock them down tight as a drum ie rooted, for the entire take down to get this badge, or is it okay if we can get them to stay in the general vicinity of where they spawn?

Asking cause it will take a bit of planning to do this under the guns as well.

Am thinking this is a job similiar to the 2 Tin Mage badges in the warehouse where it is easier to get them (the timed glowies and the Director take down) in seperate runs. Just get the timed twin defeat and then run again for the locations defeat?

same thing happened to me. I was on a three team league Lambada (yes I know) and got dced or kicked by the system and had to quit the game and relog.

When I got back in I found the message under the LFG tab that offered a Rejoin the trial in progress" option.

I hit the button and was indeed ported back into the same event as I had been running with.

By this time they were just hitting the courtyard to deal with the AV so were really busy.

No welcome backs or anything which was strange as we were a happy bunch until I realised that the system had put me in a new team of one!

I asked the league leader to swap me over and he tried to move me but could not for what ever reason.

So I was a single scrapper on a team of one not getting any buffs or support from the others as most are now team buffs only and of course the others only had their team window up and so could not even see me so to speak

I tried to carry on but without any teammates it was useless so I just quit rather than leech or stand around like a lemon!

I was very disappointed with the whole experience after having waited patiently for nearly 45 minutes whilst the league formed and teams got sorted.

Went and did a good old proper ITF instead. Issue 20 meh.......

I forgot to mention I had been on 4 other trials before this and had been bug quit/failed on all of them.

Maybe they should have put this stuff through Beta as it sure as onions does not feel like they did!

And final minor thread jack, don't give me an option to not use your rubbish new interface and instead to use the Classic interface when there is no Classic interface ingame because you changed that too! Lies at best and patronising at worst.

well servers down again after a very interesting 5 mins!

I lost 2.2 million Inf ona lowbie alt that worked hard for it so petition sent. Lots of very irrated players ingame just before it shut down. Major screw up seems to be the general opinion in chat!

can I reduce the volume of one of my powers apart from knocking the whole sound effects level back?

I am running my first Sonic/Dark Corr and have taken "Sonic attack - Shout" as a primary.

The sound effect is just so loud and goes on for ever as well. Wheee Phew Phew et cetera...ad nauseum

Got to the stage that if I am stuck with the volume I think I will have to delete the alt which is bad. The other strategy might be to ignore the power and hope the Alt gets something better as my level rises but that is a pretty lousy workaround!

Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks

am dipping my toes into the world of Corruptors and purely because I have played most of the other powers on other AT's I want to roll both Dark and Sonic on this one.

So which of the options can you comment on for me. Am mainly a soloist but usually do the 2nd build team role stuff on my alts.

Sonic/Dark?

Dark/Sonic?

Any thoughts, comments, experiences would be of a help. How they play, how they use the endurance et cetera.

If it comes to it I may actually roll both but would appreciate your wise heads pointers. Thanks

well I had just finished another ITF and was waiting to roll again along with a large gang of others on the platform by Imperious when all this kicked off in broadcast.

I was not on the ITF in question and do not know any of the players involved.

I am not geting into the rights or wrongs or circumstances of the events during that ITF, but my comments are on what I saw in broadcast as a result of those events and how I felt about it.

I was shocked at the vitriole and bile that was scrolling past my chat window and at the way some players were abusing each other. I took no active part in this incident, but even I felt that the game was being ground down to a level that made it a place I would not want to be in for very much longer!

Probably the most personal viscious verbal abuse I have seen in chat since I started playing.

It did highlight the problem that there is nobody to moderate the "Broadcast" channel like all the others we have. If there were this would have been immediately stopped by silencing all involved players. I have no wise head solution as to how this problem could be adressed

There were a lot of stunned players on that platform with me and I did team up with a few of them just after it was all over and we were all sickened, saddened and angry about how impotent we felt whilst it was taking place. Not a very cheerful ITF that one.

I must say that some players did make requests for the players to take it all to PM's et etera but feelings (and ego's fuelled by anger) were out of control for a while.

I like to think that it will be another 45 months before I see the likes in open broadcast again.

Hi everybody,

so installed the new launcher and because I could see them listed, I tried launching Test and Beta. Both required a huge update (3.5Gb and 4 Gb)

Started to groan and then saw that I was downloading data at approx 6000Kbs/sec. I used to get about 150Kbs/sec using the old launcher.

In no time at all I was patched and ingame on both.

Nothing has changed my end, so is it just the new launcher that is giving me this download sweetness?

If so, will it have any effect on lag/rubberbanding ingame (thinks RWZ raids!)?

And finally I know that 6000 seems better than 150 but is it "good" or still "slow but better than what I was getting"? Not sure what others get and am not a techie!

well, as an escape from the Apex grind I ran my lvl 50 Tank through 5 mishs of the Maria Jenkins arc yesterday set to 0/+6 with Bosses and AV's included. Not one single Shard drop!

Then went and tanked an ITF and got 6 (kill all run).

Don't care about the maths, but the "Perception" for me was that I got screwed whilst doing the Solo's, and how I feel about the game is far more pertinent to me than the RNG. It just does not feel fair (wrong word, cheated probably better), to the extent that I will be iffy about going solo again when looking for shards.

Danger is, if I feel cheated in what is a large part of the game for me, how long will I hang about. And if this is the way that the Dev's have got in place as the alternative to team incarnate slot getting then it will take fornever for me to open up and slot that stuff.

Maybe I20 with it's new system of shard drops will address this situation so I will give it a go and see what happens then.

Wonder if we are looking at another alignment change to go get them?

this by way of info and an ask if anybody else has had this happen?

So am on an old (pre Inherent Fitness pool) lvl 50 Brute as a full Villain.

Start the Alpha slot arc and get as far as the "Trapdoor" mish. Go in and get very swiftly dispatched by the bad guy.

Leave the mish and log out.

Next day log in and the mish has reset as normal. I check my build and think, what on earth was I doing when I build this. It was just after I fell out of the back of the wardrobe into Narnia I guess.

So rather than respec I swap to my lvl 1 2nd build and start to train.

I get to lvl 40 and decide that I don't want the redside patron power pools but do want the Blueside Epic pools.

So I then spend the next 4 days going Rogue and then full Hero. I get all the usual alignment change messages and badges and contacts. I am a full Hero. I go to Ms Liberty and train to 50 picking my Ancilliary Pool powers as usual.

However in my Missions listings is the old Trapdoor mission (the only mish actually as the others have been removed) with "Villain" tag in red.

The Mender will not talk to me, I cannot enter the flame as it sees the mish as a Villain mish and I cannot clear the mish because it cannot be dropped. So short of going back to the redside I am stuck with it.

I have bugged and petitioned all this with, so far, no reponse.

So be warned not to change alignments whilst in the middle of the Alpha arc and if anybody else has had this please let me know how/what you did to get it sorted. Thanks

Edit to add: I am also unable to team for this mish both as a member or a leader, because the system is seeing my mish as a villain and so in turn me as a Villain and will not allow mixed teams in Oroborus Arghhh....)

Firstly welcome back. As somebody who has only been around a short time, I read your post with fascination about just how much our game has changed over the years. It is easy to forget the differences that have happened.

When you rolled your Tank we all had the choice to pick from the "Fitness" pool that gave us the Swift - Hurdle - Health - Stamina powers. These took up at least 3 of the total powers we could have.

Recently the Dev's fundamentally changed that so that in future all NEW alts created would get those powers automatically as "Inherents". We still have to slot them, but now have 3 or 4 power picks to choose from

All EXISTING alts stay as they were with those powers remaining as full power picks. However, if you now respec that Alt you are automatically given those powers as Inherents and you can get access to the 3/4 other power picks as you do the Respec.

This way is up to the player, who may decide never to Respec the Alt as they are happy with the current build, or they may decide to Respec and take advantage of the freedom to expand their powers. You decide.

I respecced some of my Alts to take Stealth and TP and some to get extra defence from Tough and Weave powers. All your options are open.

The Dev's did give us some free Respecs to do this and I guess you might still have one of those available to you now. Just type /respec into your chat box and see what comes up! Or I hope you have a bunch of Vet reward respecs as well.
