Hi Guys,
I think that all this is, even at this early stage, starting to sound very messy!
Cheers -
Hi,
and please please make a list of the A/V's needed and tick them off as you defeat them. It makes it so much easier to keep track!
And remember that one of the A/V's (a Female I know, but sorry I am not able to put my finger on that exact name info from this PC) appears in one of the arc missions ie there are two A/V's in one mish, but is not mentioned as a mission objective and can be easily overlooked.
That means redoing the arc to get to that mish again.
Have fun, it feels real nice when you down the last one and the reward message flashes up

Hello Guys,
well firstly a huge thank you for being so patient with me and so generous with your "wise heads". Something that is blindingly obvious I do not have!
It has finally sunk in, that my understanding that all the PvP zones were the same in so much as all toons could attack all other toons, is completey wrong.
I was basing my use of Bloody on the assumtion that I could level a few Hero Toons and one Villain to 15 and use the area just outside the Hero safe zone to do the majority of the work just like in Warburg. Duh! Todays' something new learnt
Now I understand that to use Bloody all the new toons would need to be Villians and I would either have to travel them to me across the zone each log in, or find a quiet hideout near the Villian base where they could nip out to me. Not sure if such a place exists.
My Badger is a tricked out (including the Vet attack powers) scrappie and will have no problem fast killing at any level and of course my foes will be putting up no resistance, active or passive.
So now armed with my newly found knowledge I guess I have two choices:
1. Level another 3/4 Villains to 15, all with Superspeed, and accept the longer (considerably?) turnaround time by using Bloody.
2. Level approx 5/6 heroes to 30 and use the smart Warburg method.
This is going to be a decision I shall have to think through carefully.
If only we could transfer toons between accounts, I would move my Badger to the second and use all my other existing red and Blue 50's as the fodder. Ah well Father Christmas is here soon so best I shove a letter up the chimney fast
I never fail to be amazed at how this game, that appears so simple on the surface, is in fact so deep!
Thank you all so much Guys, I am now so much better prepared for the task ahead

Hi Guys,
what a lot of info, all superb and going to be used, but one further question please?
As I intend to use my fairly new 2nd account to hold the donor toons and if I use Warburg, it will mean I have to level at least 6 toons to 35?
Is this correct?
If it is I might be quicker to use Bloody Bay at lvl 15 and incur the travel times?
These toons will probably be deleted when I am done so want to invest the least time and Inf on them.
Thanks
Edited : have to level at least 6 toons to 30? -
Hello everybody,
Objective:
Obtain the following badges
1. Reinforcement - Defeat 20 Villians in PvP
2. Forward Observer - Attain 100 Rep points in PvP
3. Disrupter and with it, Longbow Warden 2 - Obtain 400 Rep points in PvP
Method:
Main account using main badge toon.
Second account using a number of cannon fodder toons, enough to rotate after defeat to cover the 5 minute grace period, of which one at least will be a Villian in order to get Reinforcement.
Level the number of all Victims(Volunteers!) to 15, so they can enter Bloody Bay, the lowest lvl PvP zone.
Set up all participants in zone in a secluded area.
Log in both Main and Secondary and start defeating the secondary toons on a rotational rota till required Rep totals are reached. (How much Rep per defeat is awarded please)
Rinse and repeat.
Any thoughts/errors spotted/suggestions about the Method will be gratefully received.
I am too old and ugly to be in the slightest disturbed about the morality of this proposal or the sensitivities of Hard core PvPers ruffled by my future actions, but if you wish to waste your time please feel free if it helps
Thanks Guys and now off to the Sewers!
Cheers
Edited to add: I thought about using the Arena, but I gather Arena matches do not give defeat Rep? -
Quote:Hi Hero,Wow, thanks for the negative rep.
3 people felt it in their hearts to give me neg rep because of my post...wtf.
Amazing, we have one hell of a community here.
Thanks
well I just have to shake my head and feel ashamed about this. I am unable to understand the motivation for actions like this.
I for one, say thank you for all the effort you put into keeping Badge Hunters so up to date, and just hope you don't get too hacked off with this nonsense.
Positive rep added, which does not excuse the negative stuff, just goes a small way to negating it.
Cheers -
Hi,
new badge is in the Accolades section, but not, as yet, active on BadgeHunters site

Hi,
awesome advise everybody, especially about loading a Vill first! Never thought about that aspect at all.
Now all I need is for February to hurry up and then off I go a hunting
Thanks very much. -
Hi everybody,
just want to make sure I am heading in the right direction to get the following, as I have missed them in the last three events! (Always seem to be away at that time of year)
All to be collected on my Hero side Badger.
Valentines Event 2010 (Assuming all stays as last year).
1. Coldblooded - Defeat 100 Hordlings or Hellfrosts.
2. Hellfrost - Gladiator unlocked by achieving Coldblooded.
3. Weed Whacker - Defeat 50 Hellfrosts or Succubi.
4. Hordling Lasher - Gladiator for defeating 100 Hordlings.
If the above is all correct then I figure that I can get all four just by defeating 100 Hordlings and 50 Hellfrosts?
Thanks for responses Guys

Hi Guys,
minor thread jack albeit about Hami rewards!
After completing a Hami raid and getting the reward screen, do you get given a choice of all the Hami O's, or is it a "Select a Hami O and get a random drop" situation?
Just wondering about how long it would take to get the right O's for the build you need them on.
Thanks. -
Hi,
am just curious as to how a 45 month (at minimum) game Veteran has never done, or at least come in contact with, the "regular" respec method.
No disrespect intended, just wondered
Cheers -
LOL I did indeed
I also did spend a fair amount of time in the RWZ on the nights that the Raids were running, just patrolling the South East part of the zone and had a minimal amount of success. Think I got 2 toxics in total.
I have been grinding out the radio mish in PI and have finally achieved the badge for Toxic defeats. Must have run it about 150 times! Yes I know, I need to get a life
I also picked up a few Mu Guardians, but with no progress bar am in the dark about how much work I still have to do for that one.
But what I really wanted to say was thank you to all of you guys for your help and support, it is muchly appreciated.
Cheers -
Hi,
you need to do the arc given by Buck Salinger who is located in Croatoa.
Best of luck

Quote:Hi,Okay, I've spent literally hours upon hours looking for this guy on the Freedom server mostly in Shark Head but also in Nerva and GV. On Sunday alone I spent over 6 hours looking for him. I have been on multiple teams and we have scoured those zones until my eyes went blurry from staring at the monitor. Still no sign of Jack, only Eochai. How is it that a character that has a 1 in 10 chance of showing has not popped his head out once in hundreds of kills? (We killed Eochai every time we saw him).
because it is not a one in ten spawns chance of jack appearing, it is a 10% chance that when you down Eochi you will get a Jack spawn.
It is possible, but also improbable, that you could never get lucky and always be in the 90% chance that he will not spawn.
The odds do not roll over to the next defeat of Pumpkin Head and so somehow increase the 10% chance to spawn Jack.
You could get Jack everytime in theory. Persevere and you will get him, soon I hope

Hello Arcanaville
jolly good to hear from you
Have written (on proper paper, not this electronic stuff!) a letter to that very nice Hero who lives in Lapland, asking him to pay particular attention to the delivery of a whizzy shiny PC to a certain Lady by late December at the latest!
Fingers and everything else crossed

Hi,
what happens when you change to your second build?
Do you have to use the first builds vet power or can you choose again?
Just a thought

Hello everybody,
am still working towards the Toxic and Guardian badges and using the advice given in an earlier thread I am using the radio mishs in PI.
This is mainly because with the new PvP changes I was getting a hammering in RV and at the times I am usually playing it is virtually impossible to get 8 others just to farm the STF first mission.
So today I ran 23 straight Arachnos missions set for +0 foes and to 4 Heroes spawns. I wanted lvl 50 recipes to maximise earnings whilst I badge hunted.
I cleared every map except for one foe when I wanted to reset and cleared completely when I wanted to change mission.
In the 23 missions I defeated three Mu Guardians and four Toxic Tarantulas (2 in one mish!)
This seems to be way low compared to all the other foe types that were consistently spawning?
Any ideas how I can optimise my diff settings to increase the spawning of those two foes?
I am fighting bosses but no AV's.
Thank you for any thoughts/ideas, as I would like to get these badges before I die

Hello everybody,
Was just wondering what the nomenclature of both the folder "pigg" and file extension ".pigg" stands for?
My guess is "Paragon InGame Graphics" but purely speculation!
Any ideas?
Cheers
PS: I also wonder why the folder with all the EULA's in is called "Cider"? -
Hi everybody,
very interesting and valuable info from all posts, but a mystery as to why that mistress of the numbers, Arcanaville, seems not to be about these days. With her unparallelled knowledge and thoughtful responses we sure got the real deal on topics such as this thread is about.
Gone but not forgotten and surely missed

Hi,
posted the following as a reply in the dedicated Event thread but thought as it was about "badges" that it might be more relevent here.
"Hi,
First up, I am a badge rat and was waiting, salivating, with my badge toon for the first event after it went live. We failed, a. because it was in the Hollows which meant long travelling distances, b. only two of us had done the event on test, and c. we were not enough to damage the Banners after we made thenm vulnerable.
By the second time we were mob handed, and had organised a strategy just as you posted Ayarel, and I think everybody that was there got all six badges in that one run.
My thoughts are that this new "Wham Bam, thank you Mam" approach to the badges, particularly with this event, spoils it.
After that one run, there was little if no incentive for me to run it again. I would have prefered a situation where a player could only get one banner badge per event meaning I would have had to do four runs and perhaps five if the GM badge was also limited by a one badge per event award sysytem.
And yes, I also think that keeping the Zombie raids for the Halloween event is better than an all year round system.
Happy Trick or Treating"
Thoughts and suggestions for next year?
Cheers -

Hi,
during the test server runs we complained that Pumpkin Head and Jack were spawning too close to the new Event GM. We were having to pull them away so that we could deal with the GM.
And Hi LLeandro, I was on the team with you trying to get Jack last year. That was a proper marathon, and actually not much fun by the end!
But by golly, we persevered and got the glory and the badge eventually

Hi,
I am perfectly aware of the plethora of conversion sites on other parts of the web.
I also see no rational that makes a significant part of this games playerbase, using this website, have to go through that nonsense just to clarify information posted on this website about "our" game, when all it takes is a few key strokes by the owners of this forum to include the same level of information already now provided on the Server Status page.
I thank you for pointing out a possible solution. My request stands as is.

Hi,
one for all the Dev's or Mods (which ever is most appropriate), when announcing these ad hoc tests, trials et cetera can you please also include the time in GMT as well as your USA specific zones. We are after all a global userbase!
Thank you.
cheers -
Hi,
My level 50 joined a team with a level 32 leader and so I was exempted down to 32. Time is of the essence in this event so you have to just jump in to what you can get, and even then how do you quickly find out what level team you are about to join.
I also understand the mechanics of scaling for damage done during these events, but although I was doing the same equivelent damage as my teammates, I was only using half my powers because the other half (epics et cetera) ie my big hitters, were not available to me so therefore I was not at my most efficient.
When this goes live I think it will be the time for all level 50 players to step up and form the teams (which for this event is about all that is required) in order to maximise our player power.
This may not be so significant in prime time on busy servers, but even on Freedom and Virtue during off peak times may just help the smaller number of players be efficient enough to complete the event in time.
And yes there is a huge "wall of text" information and background available if you click on the "i" in the event window, but this is by definition only available during the event and, as was mentioned in the last run, when Ghost Falcon was urging every one to do just that, the old adage "When up to your waist in the swamp you better pay attention to the alligators" was never truer. If we had all stopped to have a browse the event would have timed out before we had all finished!
Lastly what on earth would make me ever choose a "Medium" insp for anything as a reward! The offer is derisory and insulting, make it a "large" at least and better still scrap it and offer some form of random roll which at least would extend the reward getting for a short time as well.
Cheers
