Quote:Hi, just a thought about this issue. Are you sure you are actually logged in, as when you are, this random entry stuff does not happen. (At least not to me when I am logged in)I have looked all over this site and others, and I cannot find how to do it. It does not help that every time I search on this site, I am told I entered the obligatory random-letter-and-number requirement wrong... I view such tactics as being in essence told, "We really don't want you searching for stuff, so this is how we gate our content" - but that is to the side.
I seem to get logged out and/or forgotten at random times and only realise when I do a search and get the box. So have a check if you are logged in or out

Hi Guys,
I saw Sarah-Taxibot 2 just the other day. She was having fun trying to take down Luska -
Hi Guys,
lol I just came in to say that I had found the perfect mish whilst getting the last couple of Accomplishment badges and stumbled across the Couch Potato from the Video.
However, and as usual, the wise heads have beat me to it
Thank you Snowie and all of you for the inputs. I am well on my way to the badge and a couple of runs should see me finished.
Cheers
PS I hope this helps out all the other Bluesiders that have recently switched and are treading the same well worn path. -
Hi Guys,
and same no "Pop up" for me on that badge and I also had the same with " Army of Me" badge.
Playing solo both times and had other badges award and notify as normal in betwen.
Am a Villain Hero.
Both missing award mesages during last play session a couple of hours ago.
Edit to add: I checked my Most recent list as soon as I exited mission and the badge was there on both ocassions. -
Hi,
and the odd number one can be a 25 or 30.
Edit to add: The damage badge for 25-30 is "Warhead" and actually requires 8 at 25 and 8 at 30 and one other at either level. (You can also craft Knockback IO's that count as well.)
I suspect that you have to get two sets of 8 before it will then count the 17th one other? Whether it will then automatically take one of the extra's you have already created or require you to do one more you will find out when you have crafted number 8 of the level 30 set. -
Hi Guys,
well it looks like the way to go is indeed Mayhems.
In truth I was just being lazy (well at least trying to avoid ) about grinding out 5 Papers just to get one Mayhem.
I also wanted to check there was no one mish I could farm like the one for Longbow on Blue side.
I am a lvl 50 Scrapper gone full Villain, so will suck it up and go get those dudes with a wry smile. And as you so rightly point out get all the associated Mayhem badges along the way.
Thank you all for such prompt and helpful responses -
Hello everybody,
Blue sider gone to the Red and doing the "Thin Line" defeat badge, defeat 1000 PPD police peoples.
Am usually solo and happy to run at +8 foes so would be grateful for any steers as to a good location or mission (not mayhems) that I could crack on to the total please.
Thanks muchly. -
Hi Guys,
can I make a guess that you have all gone 100% Hero/Villain?
I started at 749 and stayed Hero for 7 days to get the loyalty badge as I suspect that I will not go back full Hero for a long while, and so only yesterday went Vigilante.
I had a cracking day and collected 102 more for a current total of 851 so still a long way behind the 940ish levels.
I can work away on a few more, but hope that I will get a second nice award of Villian badges when I go full Red. I did help take down Deathsurge so that one is in escrow. I sooo want to flashback and start doing all those badge arcs
Well done to all of you and back on topic I have no thoughts on 1000 because of missing Vet badges. I do not think even the Praetorian badges would get me there.
Happy collecting. -
Hi Guys,
oops did I say Storm Palace, my badSorry.
I also agree 100% about the fog and graphics but after having a mini rant about the mish objectives I was being low key on them.
Given that the objectives are so misleading that they can have you searching for a corpse, the fog is really agravating!
Also it is very difficult to judge distances with the fog/graphics as they are, so when I did see the Chantry () I thought it was way too far off to be part of the mish map and carried on searching the plateau.

Hi,
are you saying that today you had to download a 3.6 Gb patch that was actually just over 5 Mb or do you mean that having downloaded the 5 Mb you then had to apply 3.6 Gb of data.
If it is the latter then as far as I know everybody has to apply the 3.6 Gb after every patch no matter what the actual size of the patch is.
And yes it is a bit antiquated, but I guess the wise heads here will explain to us why we have this system.
I just usually go off and plant a sapling and then watch till it hits the ten feet mark before I come back and log in
Cheers
Edit to add: lol you beat me to it Dumpleberry (as usual) -
Hi,
I had exactly the same situation a couple of days ago and was ripping hair out after about an hour of searching.
Anyway I did eventually find her inside the Storm Palace. The mission objectives were to deal with the Portal, which I did by just clicking on it, and also to defeat Black Swan.
She was quickly dispatched but no end of mission stuff started.
I then saw a further new mission objective had appeared to "Discover what had happened to Statesman!" Not a clue as to what to do I then spent another hour again searching the map looking for him or his body. Nothing.
Utterly at a loss I returned inside the Storm Palace and well angry by this time started to kick around the few odd minions that were still about because they had not aggroed whilst taking down Black Swan. As I defeated the last one the end of mission stuff kicked in and I was done.
At no time was there any hint that what the last mission objective was was actually a "Defeat all inside the Storm Palace" job.
I hope you see this before you go back for a retry and that it helps save a lot of angst and time -
I have e-mailed the Praetorian baker a bag of Inf with the instructions to have fresh cookies and pie ready every day till you show up
PS: and cancelled Gamestop's donuts delivery using Posi's name. Being a side switched Hero-Villian is sure fun! -
Hi,
just checked the timer via the info screen from the powers icon in the powers menu and the countdown timer is now showing 40 hrs 3 mins and some seconds.
I assume that from 7 days to go down to 2 days to go, it only shows whole days, then at 48 hours to go the actual times are shown.
I am sure I saw something about 48 hour countdown clocks displays during beta but cannot remember in what context.
I have bugged this (yes I know it is not bugged but just as a heads up for the Dev's) in the hope that the timer will get added to the buff icon for ease of checking.
Cheers -
Hi,
you defeat any foes over lvl 20 during any type of mission you want to do. Radio's or Papers or contact missions or just by street sweeping. You can even use the foes from the Banner event et cetera as long as they are over 20.
They drop tips on a random basis. You use these tips (up to 5 max per 20 hour period) to do alignment missions till you have your alignment bar filled up. It takes 10 missions to do that so nearly 2 days.
When you have reached that situation you then carry on defeating any over lvl 20 foes till you get the next random tip drop. That will be a Morality mission. Do that and you will have switched to that alignment.
Repeat all that to go the next step to full Hero/Villian.
The tips, when they have dropped are found in your Contact menu in a new tab called "Tips".
Everybody can do the alignment tips missions but only players with GR can get the Morality tips missions to actually change alignment.
At present there is only one way in and out of the new stuff in Praetoria, the way in is to roll a new Praetorian toon, and the way out is to level it to 20. -
Hi Guys,
if you go to the Powers menu and then to the temp powers section and find the Hero Buff power icon and then right click and select info, the gui popup box has a countdown timer in days. I did exactly the same as Beef and that timer is dropping a day at a time, no hours or seconds.
Am now down at 3 days time left to get the power and presumably the 7 day loyalty badge?
Cheers
Edit to add:
1. I have no idea why the "info" popup gui's are different when you do it via the under the xp bar icon and doing it from the powers menu icon.
2. The timer actually says "will activate in 3 days real time" -
Hi,
my Claws/SR scrappie has
Ninja + Sprint + Swift + Quickness + Elude and I get 86.7 mph.
Even without Elude I still whizz about at a satisfactory rate.
Cheers
PS. It also has Fly as a main & thematic travel power. -
Quote:Hi Ms Mesmer,You'll have to do the preceding missions to get to it if you're doing it through Ouroboros. It's not terrible, though. You'll have to face Chimera, Nightstar and Black Swan alone, but you get helpers against Bobcat, Neuron and Battle Maiden. You are exactly correct in how to farm for mobs in an Ouroboros arc, log out and back in to reset.
thanks for clearing it all up. I have just done all the missions past defeating Battle Maiden and so am all set for the asylum now (lol actually the same in real life I think!).
After spending weeks crouched in front of a CoT guardian for the Immortal badge i really don't know why I am whining about having to do a few quick missions to get the Seers badgeMust be that "Grumpy old man" syndrome kicking in
Cheers
Edit to add: well serves me right! About 20 mins after I posted the above I logged in to find I was back at the start of the mission to defeat Chimera. It transpired that in the 45 minutes I was logged out the server had crashed and had been rolled back to get it up and running
So it now means I got all the AV's to take down again. Goes to find the "Suck it up " straw. -
Quote:Given that Gamestop/EBGames Canada hasn't got my preorder yet (grumble), I was able to test this myself.
The seers in Mother Mayhem's missions do count. The seers that are <Imperial Guard> faction (later missions) do not count.
Hi Snow Globe,
firstly I really hope that you now have your GR stuff from gamestop, that situation sucks
And secondly thank you for the research on the Seers and Mother Mayhem.
I am now about to go get the badge by using the Asylum mission from that arc but because I am thick, I wondered if there is any way to do that without doing the previous 6 missions to get to it?
I did run the first three last night and all I saw were DE and scanners. I will be solo so may have to do a couple of runs even at +4. Can I farm the mission through flashback by logging out and back in again with out completing the mish?
Thanks -

-
Hi Guys,
just to clarify please,

Desdemona I get by doing a Vill/rogue tip mission
Seers I get by doing the new Tina's arc
Praetorian Clockwork I get by doing ??
Thanks -
Hi Guys,
cookies all round
So many choices that I will have a good think about which way to go before I jump in. With no need to take a travel power I do have slots and plenty of Inf to spend so will have a session in Mids using all the ideas you have given me and form a "Plan".
Thanks again. -
Hi Guys,
am running a Kat/WP scrappie and have taken Boxing as a precurser to taking Tough & Weave. I have no intention of using Boxing and the first slot is lying there empty.
I have read a few of the guides that have WP as a secondary and most have Boxing/Tough/Weave and have slotted Boxing with an Accuracy or Damage IO.
Is there something more useful like a Global Proc or something that I could slot that would be of some benefit to my overall build? Use it as a mule slot.
Thanks -
Hi Guys,
I take photos (screenies but more planned and posed) of my alts in exotic locations and at different times of the day, as well as all the "on the spur of the moment" shots like the team members snap of my first completion of the STF.
The Shards are fantastic and in particular the Storm Palace, but even a sunrise or set in Eden or Croatoa are really worthy.
City views from up on high, or, by using invisibility, real detailed closeups of all the foes when they are not aggroed are other things to take.
I got a seperate removable HD that I store them on and after 3 years there are penty of them to store. I like to browse them and remember times like training my first lvl 50 et cetera. Mmmm I wonder just how many of that STF team are still active players? Must post a list and see
Bored, no way. Enjoy.
