All I want is a Jetson's type flying car. Or a Star Trek flying motorcycle that chased young Jimmy Kirk in his step dad's Corvette. Or that rocket horse. Definitely want.
That would solve just about any issue, yeah? If we can have mobs of thugs showing up out of *thin freaking air* for masterminds, this is possible.
Otherwise, M. Bill has it down, and it's good, and bankable. Not happening. I'm ok with this. -
Quote:Hold up. Think on this a minute. If we're voting on space costumes... But they wouldn't have any space to be in... So to make it 'right'...... then where oh where is our gorram MOON ZONE that was voted as our favorite new zone for the Devs to create, what, like 4 or 5 years ago...?
Seriously... We're gonna have all these SPACEMEN (and women) running around on EARTH.
moon zone
Moon Zone
MOON ZONE
MOON ZONE!!!
zOMG!!! It can only mean one thing!
We ARE getting a moon zone! SWEET!!!
/"Logic suggests..." - Spock, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. -
Prolly same reason Moon Zone and BRB aren't.

Quote:One group wouldn't be: The developers.
As to the rest of your points, I'll simply quote Arcanaville from May of last year:
Translation: your CoH2 would be available sometime after 2020.
Translation: It is more likely that Paragon Studios will continue to work on THIS game, than create a completely new Superhero game. There is pretty much zero possibility that Paragon Studios would make CoH 2 at this point. They are investing in upgrading THIS game.
There is also the fact that two other super hero MMOs have launched, and despite one having a huge amount of development resources, both are considered inferior to CoH.Quote:One of them also has characters in it that everyone in the WORLD recognizes, and CoH is still the better game.
However, this also bears repeating...
Quote:I think the world is ready for City of Heroes 2. It needs better graphics, vastly improved gaming engine, more customizations, etc. CoH is a great game, but it is REALLY showing its age.
I see no reason to point out graphics, engine, customizations, or age as reasons, either singly or together, to suggest it's time for any sequel to Co*. It's almost laughable, IMO, to suggest such.
There are other games that don't have the amazing amount of any of the first three by far, and the one of the biggest, yet oldest, ones is just as popular and ugly as ever, with the same awful interface.
Co* is fine. Content is more important than any graphics upgrade, by far. The engine works fine for me, but perhaps I'm not playing the same way you are. I can't figure out what you mean by "more customizations"... there's a ton of costume possibles, and there's a whole lot of color choosing for powers... not every power, I'll grant, but still...
...and "etc"? Really? What the heck is that supposed to mean? No giant tacos that poop ice cream, so the game needs a sequel?
Nosir, the game is fine. If you think you can do better, though, please do be my guest and create it, k?
/Might be more inclined to jump on the Co*2 bandwagon if you'd said "No Big Red Ball" or "No Moon Base", or "No grapple/web powers". NOW you're talking about shortcomings...
//well, maybe not. -
No, I'm mad that this is getting attention when **I** said "Grapple/Web!" way back when, and still do to this day, and then this person tries to make it "new" in some way. The nerve.
But that's ok... attention is attention, as long as grapple/web gets some.
+1!

Such as, I want a grapple hook travel power. I won't get it, and won't see it in a poll. So I won't vote, as in indication that I'm not happy with the choices given.
/Unless there's one labled "Thermonuclear Powered Space Warp". Instantaneous travel from point a to point b. Only fries a few electronics and/or nearby people, but totally worth it. Yeah, I'd vote for that. -
I was cool with it myself, until I saw one of the guys I pummeled into defeat *twist into a bowtie at the waist*.
It was pretty sick. Cool, but sick, and wrong. Sickwrong. No. Wrongsick. Definitely. -
Yeah, I was 'fraid of that, but hey, if it works, then old Asus drivers it is!
Glad it's workin' for ya! -
There are some fine examples of win here. I'mma add some others I'm aware of just for variety.
"Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" - George Michael with Elton John.
"Clocks" - Coldplay, LeftRightLeftRightLeft
"Robot Rock/Oh Yeah" - Daft Punk, Alive
Just about anything from Queen. Queen rocks. Say from Queen on Fire, Live at The Bowl, or Live from Wembley? I'd take Flash, Fat Bottomed Girls, Somebody to Love, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, Who Wants to Live Forever... really, any of 'em.
And finally, just to be me (i.e., slightly off center, as if the first three aren't enough):
"Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" - Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band
/You know Bruce and co. rocked Christmas.
//Would mention "D*ck in a Box" - Justin Timberlake at Madison Square Garden, but it's not an official Live release... -
Grapple/web powers. Yes, the prerequisite travel power, swinging through the buildings, would be difficult in, oh, Croatoa's farm lands... but still.
And, walking on walls/ceilings. Definitely. Grapple would work there too, just claws on the knees, feet and hands... -
Howdy. First I've seen this. Dunno how I missed it.
I would turn off Turbo Gear, completely. I mean, uninstall it. You can download it again, I just went to the Asus page and saw that.
I would also go through a session with MSCONFIG and turn off anything I didn't need.
With the software outta the way, turnin' to the drivers...
Current Nvidia drivers for your video is the 285.62WHQL drivers from them directly, so you're current there... HOWEVER, being a laptop, sometimes the manufacturers MUST be used.
From Asus, they're showing the September 7, 2009 update... quite a while back, but I might, MIGHT, try those.
And back to software, have you verified the files? Perhaps there's a bad texture somewhere.
Temps, as have been mentioned, could be the case here... but it looks like maybe everything else is right... maybe it's video memory... but I'd think there'd be other issues too.
All the time, or just at night?
Other than that... I dunno. Seems like, excepting a kitchen sink of stuff running, everything is in order to me... -

It was strong and pretty, but it has gone to the americans.

Quote:You have your problem right there. Stop killing everyone. Go into the mission, figure out what the objective is, and RUN YOUR *** OFF to that objective and do just that.Whats the quickest way to stealth a mission with an MM? Im doing tip missions to change my alignment and noticed it takes anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to complete one mission if I kill everything in my path
For the MM, as has been mentioned, dismissal of pets is required to do the running, then rejuvenate them at the objective. For a scrapper, it's simply "kill everything unless it needs a click. Then kill it."

Did anyone say 'brawl?' If not, then let it be me who speaks up:
Brawl. -
I won't reroll Ruby Dawn... or Cerise... or Rose... but I may, just perhaps, come up with a fourth Dawn sister, or maybe their mother... But no, I don't reroll or respec, ever.
Still, I'm intrigued by the idea of a Dark controlling power... hm... -
Because, dearie, when people get drunk, they make life altering decisions that they know not the consequenses of until it's way, WAY too late... "Why?"...
(Why?) -
Oh. My. GAWD. You are totally awesome, I wanna have your babies! But I can't, I'm a guy. Sorry. Otherwise, you totally ROCK.
I quickly run to ebay and put the Action Comics Number 1 up for sale, with a reserve of $1M USD.
Needless to say, it got more than that. I shipped it, and the buyer received it. With that money, I bought a totally pimped out ride, with subs, flamethrower exhaust, a Superman motif, and 'draulics.
I drove it over to your place to show you what your more than generous gift gained me. While making the car jump about, one of the rims exploded on a bounce, the shrapnel flying about and decapitating you quite horribly.
Which is a total shame, as I couldn't have done that without your awesome gift. Be assured, you had an excellent funeral, even if it was closed casket. If it helps, I'm sorry about the explody rim.
To the person below me, I leave that very same Superman motif pimped out ride but with way stronger rims. I simply cannot have the car any longer, the excruciating death of mousedroid haunts me still... -
My. GOODNESS... Apple is so much suck I can't hardly believe it.
But that's for my needs. They are very much awesome in a lot of other ways, and I DO recommend them to individuals... but man... those are seriously screwed up machines, IMO, hardware wise.
Can't you build a Wintel box with an OSX on it yourself these days? I know I've read that somewhere... The point is the OS, not the box, right, for going Apple, yeah?
/Is really interested in this topic now.
//And yes, IMO, Nvidia is THE graphics card, overall, to deal with. ATI/AMD is... odd. Had too many issues with them, and I'll never buy them again. I like to be sane.
///Seriously, you ATI/AMD lovers, I'm GLAD you like them/have good luck with them, they just don't like me. Sorry. I tried, I really did. Had to quit. -
Go do battle in Grandville or Perigrine Island, or RWZ. That'll show you have *grit* at level 16.

@Hyperstrike:
No, your formatting is completely whack. The first three lines are very pretty, but then the fourth and fifth lines come in and wreck the entire post.
I'll give you an A- for effort, and enthusiasm, but I simply cannot give you a higher grade due to the horrible margins.
/blaming the forum isn't an option, so don't even go there, k?
//I resized it, and it's still messy.

Wow... the server(s) alone per zone would be stupid. If Everyone wanted an apartment, even VIPs only... sheesh. Everyone would have to pay a lot to have that set up. $25+per month for the apartments, easy.
I think I'll just live in the train station, under a bridge, in the guard shack in the Hollows, like everyone else. -
All of them. The set is that awesome and useful. However, if I had to skip, Telekinesis and the Confuse pair are about the only ones that I've ever said "meh" to. All the others are quite simply mandatory, IMO.
Oh, you can probably skip Mass Hypnosis, as it's a Sleep, and the Holds are a somewhat better thing to have. If you do that, then maybe Mass Confusion is the one to get in it's place, but the reason I don't generally is that it's an XP loss situation. A single Confuse can do wonders though, if you use it on a minion or LT when fightin' a boss or EB.
But yeah. Every one of them is good stuff and hecka useful, and none I'd say 'skip' outright. 'Cept maybe Teleknesis. Throwing an enemy away from the pack doesn't help controlling the pack, and Melee people will hate you for it. -
Jailhouse Bones McGee. I am terribly pleased with mine.
I am going to go home tonight and make something with that. Heck, I'd like to do my current brawler with that name, it's frackin' perfect.
-
I really can't thank you for that, 'cause it's a pretty horrid thing to have in my hands. Nonetheless, I jab the needle into your arm, and in short course, you die from.. well, a lot of issues, really, all at once. Sounds deliciously painful, were I a vile villain... and I have a toon such as this. So, good.
And for you, PBM, I give unto you a single skin cell from a labrador retriever, perfectly preserved and ready for whatever you see fit to do with.
