Quote:thanks and sorry if I was not clear in my OP but this was what i was looking for and it worked splendidlyIf you have an enhancement with +5 and want to remove the extra levels so that it can be sold, it's very simple to do.
1. Take them out via respec or enh unslotter
2. Find a random person, -anyone-
3. Start a trade with them (randoms always accept, lol optimism)
4. Drag the enhancements (from your tray) to the trade window as if you were to trade them
5. A pop up appears, asking if you're fine with the +5 being stripped off (also works on combined HOs). Click yes
6. Cancel Trade
It's quite easy, doesn't take multiple accounts, or friends, or anything. If you're in atlas or cap, someone there will accept a random trade and you can remove the boosters off of it.

Is there any work around for removing the 50+++++ from the enh converters
I have heard maybe passing to a different account maybe works
or trading with a freind etc...
is there anyknow workaround for the removal of the +'s from these converters? -
I think you are right.

it may not be that bad if you can wait and pace yourself to recoup. Stay on top of it. You may get a huge chunk back. In the mean time while all this hoopla is going on. There are still area to get into.
Some def sets. Some ranged dmg sets. some sets where you get into. I did very well today not on the pvp and purple markets. I bought some stuff that will for sure be worth a lot soon
aegis resistance or resistance/end
lotg def or def/end
are examples most will not burn merits or buy those and yet they are very much needced indeed -
Quote:I am not sure what your saying? please expand on this thought so i can understand. Im sure im just stupid but please dumb it downIn the Updater right click on the regular City of Heroes button and select Properties. You'll see the version of the build that went live today, which includes a timestamp of 20120314 (I think). That means the Enhancement Converters were coded, possibly reviewed, and committed by 3/14. Double XP weekend has nothing to do with this.
Intentionally making Reward Merits more valuable than other Merits by selling new things initially only for Reward Merits is possible, but there's no basis for making such a claim that I've ever heard. And this goes against the current push which is for Incarnate Trials which I think just give Astrals and Emps.
Rogues and Vigilantes already have a bone, they can do content on both side. All of the smart people were Rogues and Vigilantes after Going Rogue came out. There was no bone for true heroes or villains till Alignment Merits came out. Regardless, I don't see how not selling Enhancement Converters to Heroes or Villains particularly helps Rogues or Vigilantes. That doesn't seem relevant.
Are you just arguing or did you really mean all that stuff?
It is certainly possible that Enhancement Converters were fixed badly, either by someone who didn't know what they were doing or by someone who didn't have time to think about what they were doing. Then they were committed either without any review or by someone who didn't have the time or competence to properly review the change. The changes may have been tested. Then they were put into production, and after we complained about it they were listed as known to be broken. Maybe internal testing found that they were broken, but there were a lot of fixes in this build. It would not have been appropriate to hold it up due to Enhancement Converters even if they were known to be partially broken. That's a really simple business decision.
It's sad that multiple people dropped the ball, and those of us who have been looking forward to and preparing for Enhancement Converters for upwards of 4 months have to wait even longer. It's sad that the focus of the world today is on profit, do it well enough to attract customers, but you don't have time to do it right, because you have to work on the next big thing to attract customers. I can see someone in NCSoft saying, "Well at least some people will have Enhancement Converters, that's good enough." It's sad that we as customers have to deal with this, because every MMO does it.
But it's also sad that this could have been done intentionally to increase sales of Super Packs. A smart Marketing weasel could have said, "What would it take to sell more Super Packs? We already have unique costume codes. ATOs aren't doing it. People have complained about getting too many Reward Merits. Maybe if we made Reward Merits better somehow. What would make people want a lot of Reward Merits?" This isn't some conspiracy theory. People are really paid to think up things like that.
Finally, It's sad that I would really consider this, and that other people would consider it possible as well. -
It seems that converters did not have the effect on Purples that i thought it would. Conversely pvp ops were affected more than i thought.
Pvp Io procs in the 200 mill+/- and purples are more +/- still the demand for purples is soo much higher than pvp io procs.
maybe cause you need at least 5 purples for the good sets. And only one or 2 pvp procs will do ya fine.
am i wrong here. -
Quote:made about 10 then stopped12 billion influence in about fifteen minutes and I didn't even have my evil plan in mind before logging on in the first place. The stake through the heart of high purple prices? Let's hope so.
the market is crashed to low im gonna wait till it comes back a little... if eva.
But thanks converters still dont know what im gonna do with it all. Got about 200 more junk ios to use so i guess ill never need to buy another thing again.
good luck all. -
Quote:interesting. I did not hear about this. The Dev's mentioned in yesterday's coffee talk that Shards are being phased out entirely. Was more of a stop gap measure put in place to kick off the system. Threads will be the mainstay currency from here on out.
Any idea about alpha slot? Will that change? -
-
I use a tauntbot. with leadership and its fun times. with dull pain as i need it if i do. set +4/8 with bosses.
-
On my freakmap farm i get shards and on the new DA stuff i get only threads.
Am i mistaken in thinking that shards are Incarnate content as well.
is there a reason Shards cannot be gotten any other way then the farming in a designated non incarnate farm or in a tf of the week run?
Is there a seperation if so can someone explain it to me i am unaware as to the distinction of the two -
Incarnate Rival
Story arc info - Dream Doctor Part Six: The Life of David Hazen (Find David Hazen's Missing Journal) and either Heather Townsend's Part Three: Those Who Have Fought (Investigate the Tsoo) or Praetor Duncan's Part Two: The Ancient Guardians (Uncover information from the Circle of Thorn).
How to get - Save Madame Bellerose at least once in Dark Astoria in either Heather Townsend's arc or Praetor Duncan's arc before your final meeting in Dream Doctor's arc. In the first two arcs, she'll show up as an optional objective when you get near her with "???" displaying in the Nav Bar. In the final mission, she won't show up as an objective, but will be with a foe and will fight you until she stops to talk to you. If you miss her previously both times, she won't stop to talk to you and you will defeat her with no badge.
Completion text - You rescued Madame Bellerose from the forces of Dark Astoria. She eventually succumbed to Mot's will and attacked you, but came to her senses before it was too late. Did you choose to spare her life, or end it when she refused to pay you back?
did this and it has not awarded. Ran it twice and now i have a petion in . -
Under the LFG tab on your chat screen there is a list of things to run. On the things to run next to each one depending on the tab there is something called "average wait time"
is this for real...
I have tried it several times on teh busiest server there is. Its not correct. And if its not correct on freedom and Virtue how could it possibly be correct on slower servers.
Or did i do something wrong is there a setting I am missing or something in options i cant find to join these?
Cause i tried to get on an eden and a strick force of the week to get a notice of the well. And it was 30 mins of street hunting and nothing... No message no warning, no adjustment to the wait time...
so is that "wait time" just completely made up and nothing to actually ever look at again? -
There are some very very very farmable missons in the DA content. Some are not in DA and are extremely farmable. In a way that i have not seen before. You dont even need an attack.

I believe there should be a soloist path. And mabey this is to slow. Maybe it is not. I cannot answer that. But a soloist path should be put in. A solist pays the same as anyone.
1) maybe they lilke solo
2) maybe their on a dead server
3) maybe their in the middle
4) maybe their anti social
5) maybe they are not pros and have been kicked or called newbs and dont like the feeling they get cause they dont know the exact method to run a master keyes
i dont care but a soloist is now penalized from what i see
i ran a DA farm i was level shifted to +1
it was the kill romuls army misson from sister in chimiorea
it will not be possible to get to t3 in under 50 farm runs
yes 50 I have run 10 so far the rates are so low as to be a laugh.
So even a solo farmer will not get to do what they want. Hoever i am not a soloist. SO something inbetween needs to be done
maybe something like a 20-40 misson arc with a gauranteed rare/very rare at the end.
I see the points the non farmers and non teamers or slow server people are making
I feel your pain -
Quote:I think the disparity between the solo arcs and trial rewards are ridiculous.
This evening: a TPN run (still in cooldown) and the last three missions in the "To What End Power" arc.
TPN: 45 minutes including league set up time (35 in trial).
One common component; 7 Astral merits; 1 Empyrean merit; 67 (!) threads.
Arc: +0x6, defeat (nearly) all. 115 minutes (excludes selling, travelling time)
10 threads, one common.
In threads alone, that's over 12 times more slowly. TWELVE TIMES. And then there are the merits on top.
I can't understand the dev's motivation here. It's a laughable comparison.
well when you put it that way I can see your point. However I have to just imagine what the devs are thinking. I come up with only one thing. They assume we well solo these arcs when were having a chance to play but not getting on a trial.
I was on at about 5 am cause the baby woke me up. She fell back to sleep and then i was awake. So I ran a farm on a tank that I need some more stuff on to get to t3s. I didnt finish it but i got half of what i needed cause i was so close.
So I think for that situation its ok. But having read the answers in this thread it makes me think. That with an increased difficulty this is once again going to favor my tanks, scrappers, brutes, one blaster, and some other pimped out toons out there.
And most trollers, defenders, cors etc... are not going to be able to go as fast in DA. Maybe some tweaking or a buff to lesser ats is in order to balance the farmability aspect of that? -
Quote:Here's my advice, based on experience, for people wanting to make the most of what DA offers (I'm the guy that on beta actually *did* spend a month trying to get a character to Tier 3 in Alpha, Lore, and Destiny, so this is my "if I'd known better when I started, this is what I would have done differently):
Do make sure you do one run of all of the major rewards a day (or however often you can) - one component, one merit roll, 10 threads.
Don't: Spend your threads to craft commons or uncommons - The drop rates are actually going to give you about twice the number of commons you need (relative to rares and very rares).
Don't: Convert your empyreans to threads. Save them up for a rare.
On average, you're going to get about one uncommon for every six or seven commons. (Again, on average - that's subject to the vagaries of the RNG), which is pretty close to what you need anyway. That's why my advice is not to waste threads on uncommons.
In about two weeks, you'll have the threads (and astral merits) to flat out craft directly a rare. By week two you'll also have about a 50-50 chance of having had one rare actually drop. So at the very least you'll have one Tier 3 power, and a 50% shot at having two. On the other hand, if you've been using your threads to craft commons and uncommons, you'll be several days away from having enough to craft the rare.
By around week three, on average you'll have the empyreans for a rare. So you'll have two Tier 3's crafted for sure, and there's a decent (65%) chance you'll have seen a rare drop by then, and have your third Tier 3 crafted.
No disrespect to Bill intended at all, but in my experience, it *is* a good idea to craft powers for Judgment and even Interface. By the time you've got your hands on what you need to make rares for Lore and Destiny, the drops alone are very likely to have given you an excess of commons and uncommons needed for Tier 1 or Tier 2 in Judgment and Interface.
And to be honest, I found having the Judgement nuke available really did measurably speed things up.
Anyway, that's my two-cents, for what it's worth.
EDIT: And getting anything to Tier 4 using DA is something you should consider a very long term goal. It's doable, but you need to be prepared for it to take a while. Specifically, on average, you'll need to save empyreans for about three months to have enough for a very rare. In that same three month time, you've got about a 90% chance of having seen a component roll give you a very rare as well.
well said and i tend to agree with all of what you said. -
I am totally fine with the rate. Its great. I love it and its great fun and these are the best missons i think you ever put out.
I wonder what you all think. yes it could be higher but its high enough for me.
Yes it could be shorter but its just long enough for me.
please let me know your thoughts. -
my favorites not in debuffing but in fun

Quote:There was a bug preventing them from functioning on live. This is currently slated to be fixed in the first patch following today's launch. IOTW, very soon.
but i guess this does not concern you cause all you want to do is throw mud at me and i think you are not at all concerned with worries but with making me wrong and making yourself right. All i can say to you is you would feel that way anyways. Insofar as converters are concerned
DONT BUY OFF MARKET mostly from the people fighting me over this what should be trivial post.
I feel they are full of hate, anger and just want to play board troll hate games.
