Honest question - are these the normal AVs scaled down, or are these versions specifically built as EBs? Not any new NPCs, but old ones like Reichsman and Requiem. I'm wondering about the trickiness with purple triangles for downgraded AVs. In my fight against those two on my Ice/Time troller - who barely had Alpha slotted, let alone anything else - I was able to lock Reichsman down. I was pretty thankful for this, especially after I'd run out of purples.
(ah, I see now that J_B has mentioned Reichsman, too) -
And how. I almost nodded off fighting the tentacles on my Ice/Time. Faced them one by one, holding them then slowly whittling them away. For three rounds. It was like chipping away on rocks. Or chopping down trees. And, they didn't give rewards. It felt like the mission was there specifically to waste time. Had there been a fourth round, I might have had to punch something.
-
I freed all three and received nothing.
Is it possible that getting assistance as a hero disqualifies you? Or does the arc just not give anything either way? -
Heh...that's rather roundabout.
I just got one on my Ice/Time controller, and I hadn't really planned on slotting any of the controller set on her. I guess I could check the builds of some of my older ones, but not sure it's worth the trouble. -
Quote:My opinion didn't really have to do with the size of the helmet itself (actually...I wouldn't even mind seeing it be a tad larger), but the collar/breather in relation to the helmet.* That's what seemed to be a little bulky to me.The bubble helmet has been made that large to fit in as many hairstyles as possible without causing serious clipping.
* I do understand that there hast to be something there to cover up any gaps between the helmet and the shoulders/neck. Just seems a little large. -
Quote:This stood out to me as well.1. bubble helmet should be cool, my deep sea diver wants one. But the collar seems awfully big. Also can we tint the helmet so you can't see through it?
And put me down as a vote for moving the pack somewhat lower. Maybe so at most it extends just a little above the shoulders.
Otherwise, these are looking great! -
Quote:I screwed it up a few times because I didn't realize when I should be using the 2nd and 3rd coins.I've only run the Red Widow arc twice, but it seemed to me that if you read the responses carefully it's difficult to screw it up.
I'll probably just go play Civ now. -
Quote:I still can't stand those maps. I really wouldn't mind Lambda if I didn't know I was going to drop to about 3 FPS.In the Lam I mostly had to battle the lag inside and died when I froze in the middle of a large group.
Eh, I think there are a large number of adults who would find jogging 100m hard enough, let alone swimming it. I'm not in as good a shape as I could be but I'm not grossly out of shape either, and I know I wouldn't be all that keen on having to swim the length of a football field. -
Wow...just checked my account (hadn't looked there or in the store for a while) and I have 2210 points stored up. I could see perhaps opening a few packs sometime.

Quote:Ahh, that grand idea of institutional memory.Every time I hear this excuse I want to punch someone. Doubly so when it's in regard to a storyline.
EDIT: Derp derp derp. Thank you for posting this, Agent White.
Quote:If you've played it, there are the safe areas illuminated by the dream doctor beacons, they look cool, but originally their visual intention was different. They were big domes of glowing light & something similar to the Shadowed Paths in First Ward. The idea isn't lost, something similar might crop up in the future. -

I jokingly thought to myself when it was first revealed he was to die that he should explode over Paragon like a piƱata, raining salvage and recipes and IO (Statesman, if you're quitting, can we have you stuff?). So...maybe.

Quote:It's funny, the local Fox affiliate is going to the same old well, running teasers this afternoon on the dangers of comics corrupting our kids with sex, violence, etc. Seems they don't realize that kids aren't really reading them. That's because the comic industry has Failed to make comics interesting to today's youth, so adults are a greater and greater portion of the readership.
(I also don't know how often "kids" would be exposed to them. The only way mine can get to the comic shop is if I drive them. And it's not totally true that they don't read comics - they love Tiny Titans.) -

I've always been an altaholic - I caught flak from my friends when we originally signed up for not sticking to one character - so no. When one character gets to 50 I move onto another lower level alt (or alts).

Quote:I barely run trials anymore (I probably will when my WS gets to 50, assuming Infinity runs them semi-often), but I don't think I've spent any that I've earned either.I have never spent an Emp Merit. Anxiety about something I need getting gated behind them means I just stockpile them without actually using them.
Quote:(FYI I also have several characters with 800-1000 regular merits stockpiled for similar reasons. Probably irrational but a hard habit for me to break.) -
I could see it as being useful on a WS. I know on mine I have Eclipse 5-slotted with Impervious Skin and no ACC* so the ACC would be appreciated. Also generally short-slotted my forms, so END/ACC good there (PLUS the heal on Black Dwarf Drain).
* Yeah, I know. But it squeezes 5% recharge in there, and I kind of experimented with 5x the 7.5% status resist + Acrobatics + 3x 3.3% hold resist from Devastation. What can I say, I don't really like having to switch to Dwarf for status resist. -
Actually trying to use the revive on my Peacebringer.

(Probably Morgan Freeman's fault.) -
I hoard medium/large purples. Anything small I burn to make more room (except maybe a break free). I'll burn or combine medium reds/yellows/oranges, and I'll combine greens into purples.
I really need to burn or sell more large insps, especially with the inner inspiration power available. -
I joined one team that took down a Winter Lord spawn. Other than that, I really didn't participate in anything this time around. I suppose I could have run Snaptooth or Lady Winter , but really didn't have the urge to.
I swore off the ski slopes years ago. Those things got me so mad I vowed never to try them for times again. -
Alts for me, though I typically focus on only a small handful at a time. Right now I'm playing 3-4 of them seriously, and when they reach 50 I'll start working on new/previously made but backburnered toons.

I'd still like Metal Control. Wouldn't mind some sort of Slime/Goo Control either (after my daughter and I were talking about slugs).
