/unsigned. It can get annoying, but sometimes you want to broadcast something to the whole zone while in the AE buildings.

Like the others said, dual pistols and demon summoning have not been officially confirmed, but it's been VERY strongly hinted at that we'll be getting them with going rogue.
-
1. Please learn to use the search tool, most of these ideas have been posted many, many times before.
2. Yes, it seems very, very likely that we are getting new powersets with the going rogue expansion. Dual pistols and demon summoning will be added. -
Yes, the animation time has been reduced. Plus with defiance 2.0, it's good to have.
-
I think you're way off. For one thing, I expect I15 much, much sooner than october (I'm guessing the live release will be before the end of june). And since going rogue is not an issue, but a paid expansion, I'm thinking it'll be more like end of summer. The goal of going rogue I think is to help the game compete with champions online, which is coming out september 1st. I'm guessing a similar release date for going rogue.

I'd say consume could maybe use it, but dark consumption certainly does not need it. Remember it's in a melee set, not an armor set, so it has to be balanced by the fact that often you're going to have it plus some other endurance recovery power (QR, consume, power sink, energy drain, etc.). And after the recent buffs, dark melee is already one of the most powerful and versatile sets out there. So I'll go half-/signed on this one.

Blasters can be difficult to play well, and not die a lot. Defenders can be difficult to play as well though. Do a little searching and you'll find horror stories about badly played defenders (stormies seem to get the worst rep).
[/ QUOTE ]
you'll also find stories about about defenders soloing everything in the game short of hami and stories of defenders being freaking saviors of teams
[/ QUOTE ]
No need to get all defensive, I was just trying to illustrate the point that defenders can be as difficult to play well as blasters. -
I consider myself a fairly casual gamer. I play quite a bit (maybe 15 hours per week on average), but on most toons, I don't play the market or farm. I do quite a few task forces though, since I'm fond of them. Generally, by the time I get to level 10, I have between 100 and 150 million on a toon. Some I actually use it to buy set IOs, and others I just stick with generic IOs and SOs, and funnel the money to another toon.

Since the last one was in January, I would assume that the next one would be in July, since that's 6 months later.

Secondly, if Snipes get their own category, why don't Assassin Strikes?
[/ QUOTE ]
This one's easy: There are more Snipe powers than Assassination powers.
I'm not entirely opposed to a few AS sets, though. They can't just re-use Snipe sets, however, Bill. That'd let Stalkers get around the inability to slot for interrupt.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ian's right. The reason there are no AS sets, is because the only things you can slot in AS are accuracy, damage, endurance reduction, and recharge. You can get all those things in standard melee sets, so there's no need for special AS sets.
An accurate teleport could be cool though. Maybe have a proc that has a chance to up the teleport mag so you could get bosses. -

Magic Blaster
See Links below
FF to 4:23 and beyond, especially last shot! (girl in purple is girl in white's turned evil big sis)
Starlight Breaker
Super Long Range!
Divine Buster 10 years later (No wonder her nickname is "The White Devil" [Due to her dress and overkill tatics])
All magic beams, I kinda wish I had that kinda firepower on my blaster, energy isn't cutting it in pure awesomeness anymore after five years.

Once you take out the anime exaggerations, she basically just used power burst 3 times, and sniper blast in the long-range video. -
I typically enjoy playing in large teams, but I've kind of wanted to do some soloing lately. I'm thinking about rolling up a solo corruptor. Can anyone recommend some good solo friendly sets for one?

I'm guessing that Disney might believe Hercules is their imaginary property.
[/ QUOTE ]
Marvel and DC would both argue that they own it as well.
I realize it's probably just a case of "better safe than sorry", but it seems ludicrous to me. -
Yep, it's intentional. I believe it's there simply as a way to test the tech. That leads me to the belief that they're eventually going to offer underwater content, otherwise why would they put it in at all?
-
Defenders should definitely get thermal. I wouldn't play one, but I'm not a big fan of defenders in any flavor. But I am a fan of proliferation. I'd like to see ALL the proliferation done.
-
I'd like to see a Jackie Chan melee set. There's got to be a better name for it than that, but I want a set where you pull random objects out (similar to what propel does) and beat people with them. in various fashions. It would be ridiculous to animate, and cause tons of redraw, but it would be fun.
Or maybe if they ever do a street fighting set, they could add a single power that does this. -
It's true, Going Rogue will be the death of CoX.
And from the ashes of that death, it shall be REBORN!!!
No longer will we play CoX. We will play a new game, a better game. We will be playing...CoR (yeah, I've already heard people using it).
Oh, and just for the record.
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! -
Yeah, the pet name restrictions are incredibly random. It wouldn't let me use Hercules at one point.
-
So here's my question. Normally, playing on difficulty 2 or 4 causes the mission to spawn enemies as if there were 1 extra team member on the team. Does this hold true if you have a full team of 8? Does it spawn for that phantom 9th person, or does a team of 8 make diff 2 the same as diff 1 and diff 4 the same as diff 3?
-
Dual pistols is being added because people have wanted it for a long time.
Demon summoning because masterminds need more primaries, and it seems like a good, classic feeling one.
There might be more truly new melee sets at some point, but melee players have received a ton of attention in the last few issues (dual blades, willpower, and shield defense all were added, plus there was proliferation). So the ranged people could use some love. I suspect next will be a new control set after that. -
I'm not deaf, but I regularly play with the game sound turned off and music playing instead, so I can sympathize with being unable to find glowies by sound. This is definitely a good idea.

I wouldn't mind if these were put in, but I think I'd prefer the Dev team to be working on content for the main game.

My thoughts exactly. -
I really don't see a point to this. Making the change would do 1 of 3 things.
Result in a net buff to health/stamina. If you wanted to buff it, just buff the regen/recharge numbers instead.
Result in a net nerf to health/stamins. If you wanted to nerf them, just nerf the regen/recharge numbers instead.
Result in no net gain/loss to health/stamina. In this case, nothing changed, so you did the work for no reason.
It seems pointless to me.
