Any new power sets coming out?
1. Please learn to use the search tool, most of these ideas have been posted many, many times before.
2. Yes, it seems very, very likely that we are getting new powersets with the going rogue expansion. Dual pistols and demon summoning will be added.

Has that been officially confirmed? We're getting new characters that use them, yes, but then we still have signature heroes and villains with powers we can't have.
Plus, the bad guy in the video is only using a single handgun.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

I love it when the new forum posters just hold up giant signs reading "I put no effort into searching."
Makes it easier to just say NO.
Huh, it seems easy to just as easy to pick on new posters. All I found about dual pistols that is "confirmed" is that corruptors will be the first to get it. I didn't happen to see anything about blasters. Not to mention the fact that I mentioned about 5 other things in my post that no seems to be telling me were previously mentioned and if they were, they are so buried that it would take days to locate them.
I have a life and cannot spend that sort of time searching key words to see if any ideas I have already made it here.
...and yes I am new poster. And it's negative responses that have kept me from the forums up until now. I was just sharing some ideas in a game I enjoy playing. And i figured that repeat request is what gets designers to think seriously about options for the game.

And, as a new poster, I'm happy to tell you that the devs have specifically stated that they purposely steer clear of the Suggestions forums specifically because they know that pretty much everyone who posts ideas here doesn't know decent game design from the Champions PnP system (yes, I went there). If they wanted good ideas, they'd either come up with them themselves or read them in other forums as they become popular and crop up elsewhere.
Hi, New poster!
I just want to point out that there is a thread stickied at the top of this forum called "Lady Jade's Powers Suggestion Thread".
You probably want to go there to check out what others have already suggested and the format that seems to work best for suggesting it.
There have been a bazillion threads about Street Fighting and a desire to have a punchy set for Scrappers (and Stalkers, Tanks & Brutes). I am positive it have been very much discussed in Lady Jade's thread above.
I like some of your concepts for Time Manipulation, but it seems you are missing a couple.
Dual Pistols seems to be confirmed for Issue 16 - and if so will most likely be available to Blasters and Defenders as well as Corruptors (since all three ATs have Blast sets).
S&I is not a good place to start your posting career in because it is generally full of folks who will pick apart your post, often in very excrutating detail, but in some cases (like yours) with a banket dismissal because it contains suggestions that have often been posted before (ad nauseum - oops, Latin, not trolling, Mr. Ocho, honest).
And the last part of your post about your concerns over the MA, is not really a suggestions and should probably be a separate post elsewhere - although you can find fairly recent threads concering that topic as well.
Try posting again, perhaps in a different forum. Some of the regulars around here do bite, but a lot of us don't.
Altoholic - but a Blaster at Heart!

Additionally, is anyone else creeped out by the concept of Architect? It seems a little scary that so many players have decided as they are logged into a game sitting on their computers to have their make-believe characters log into a virual world and spend all of their time on virtual stories instead of going out and defending the city.

This is rumoured to be "part of the plan."
Remember that the people behind Architect Entertainment are Dr. Aeon and Countess Crey. I would be very surprised to learn that Aeon and Crey created the Architect simply in the interest of "good, clean, fun."
New story arcs coming soon (ARC IDs will be aded when I finish the arc):
So, you want to join the Hellions? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)
Sparks & Steel (level 5-20 Heroic arc)
and
So you want to join the Skulls? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)

He's wearing two holsters. He only ***** a single gun, but we don't get to see any of his attacks.
And the chick with the fireball never actually summons anything... that seems like a more obvious objection to make. But I believe the powersets of both are confirmed (may have to search to verify), and comments by Positron strongly suggest those two are nigh. I believe BaBs has commented on the imminence of Dual Pistols as well, although Demon Summoning is a nice semi-surprise.

[Local] Positron: Demon Summoning? Dual Pistols?

Not confirmed but it looks like it.

If you can't be bothered to look on the first five pages... Just a skim of the subject lines, then I can't be bothered to put forth the effort to be courteous with you.

That's not our problem. You're not some precious snowflake, whom forum rules don't apply to just because you think your life if more important than ours.

Wanna know what repeat requests give designers? Headaches. But don't take my word for it! Look up Power Customization. Weather, Open-World, Wall-Walking, Wall-Crawling, and thensome.
As for 'negative responses' keeping you from posting? I doubt it. Had you been lurking on the forums, you'd have enough sense to know how frequent this idea comes up. Had you not even lurked before? You'd have no idea what negative responses would await you.
And so, in short; No.
Like the others said, dual pistols and demon summoning have not been officially confirmed, but it's been VERY strongly hinted at that we'll be getting them with going rogue.
If not, here are a few ideas and thoughts:
1. "street fighting" Scrappers are severly missing the quinessential fisticuffs combat set that you see from well-known heroes such as Batman or Daredevil. Super Strength is too over the top for such concepts and the other melee sets are too sci-fi or not enough pure melee (too many elemental weapons or siphoning this and that, or just blaster-type abilities).
- My idea: Hook, Upper Cut (knock down), Knee Strike, Elbow Shot, Headbutt (disorient), Fist of Iron (knock back), Build Up, Kick, Fists of Fury (like flurry power in Super Speed set). The powers are not in any order or level of damage - just a list of whats possible.
2. "temporal manipulation" A good set as a secondary for blasters or primary for Controllers (change name to "Temporal Control" for Controllers)
- my idea: Slow Time (individual and then group - slows foes), stop time (individual then group - holds foes), Time Jump (short range teleport for ally, self and then entire group), Echo (summon a "heroic echo" from the future or past as an ally - needs work but basically a short-lived pet), Future Shock (teleport foe short distance - foe arrives stunned, weakened or disoriented). Again not in any particular order.
3. "dual pistols" (for blasters) Add Aim and change the animation for brawl to a pistol whip. Not a complete set idea but I think hero side would benefit from this if it could be worked out. Need more stuff for superspy type heroes (like SHIELD agents and Black Widdow from Marvel). Still a good set to couple with devices.
Also was thinking of why there are no locked office or other doors that could be broken down (as well as "hidden passages" in caves where sections of wall could be broken). If it can be done with vault doors and cell doors then why not on other maps too?
Additionally, is anyone else creeped out by the concept of Architect? It seems a little scary that so many players have decided as they are logged into a game sitting on their computers to have their make-believe characters log into a virual world and spend all of their time on virtual stories instead of going out and defending the city.
Also that brings me to another idea. Why not have every zone map detail what areas of the map are controlled by law abiding forces and the areas overrun with foes? I know the danger level is shown but I think a map design like what is seen on the wall in Atlass Park (at the technology contact at DATA) describing Recluse's Victory would be more inspiring for heroes to go save the city. The maps would shift based on the number of heroes in a zone and the number of successful missions completed that day. And why don't we see the after-effects of hero neglect. Shouldn't more buildings catch fire or blow up or areas get more scummy if the heroes avoid certain zones and the criminal element sets in?
And when are they gonna finish rebuilding Faultline? Those construction workers have been working for a really long time - some designer give them a break already.
