I've been enjoying this build, but there's something I just like better about farming with my BS/Invuln scrapper. The amount of damage he can take and put out, especially with the incarnate powers, is just unreal.

he's pretty much invincible as it is

New builders? I see veterans do this and swear their toons are the greatest because of their sky high defense. Great, but you can't do damage for ****.

Uh, my bs/inv who tanked an RSF last night would like to have a word with you...

Invuln takes a bit of work and a bit of patience, but it can be a very good set if you work with it.
  6. Didn't know him, but it's always sad to hear a fellow player left us. Rest in peace.
  7. I'm not gonna critique your build, rather I'll just post the one I use on my BS/Inv for you to use as reference. This build just barely allows for perma DP and great damage and recharge out of Headsplitter. Never have endurance problems and only really get hassled by longbow nullifiers.

  8. nice to see the raids are still being kept active. just realized i have a half-slotted 50 stalker on this server, may just keep him here to run raids.

or bring my blaster over. we shall see.
  9. so long as it's a little later in the day on saturday(pst), I'll be good.

Most likely bringing my bs/inv scrapper
  10. Yeah, I did that with others, but when I did it with my main, I hadn't realized that there was a counter.
  11. oh holy crap.

I figured it out. It was the location in the south of Neutropolis. I hadn't even explored that part of the map. The marker blended in with that part so well I never noticed it.

    /facepalm
  12. While set bonuses are a nice thing, there is such thing as too much of a good thing. For instance, Headsplitter doesn't really need all of that. My build has it slotted with just three HOs (don't know if you're against those or not) and three recharges. That offers better accuracy and recharge than what you have currently, and you're only losing minimal set bonuses there from dropping that set.

Here's my build, I use Slash where you use Slice, also I have Hasten and Unstoppable. And I took LBE as well from the APP. I tank occasionally with my scrapper, so LBE is nice to have for a pull.

I suggest reducing the three slots in CJ to one (leave the Kismet in there), and use those two slots in Whirling Sword instead. WS is a great attack, should be six slotted. Also, I have Parry 4 slotted (no need to slot for acc if you've got some global acc). Defense wise, the build is good, however you achieved so at a detriment to potential damage.

    :/
  15. I've visited just every single location at least three times over, done every thing i can on te water line bridges in Neutropolis, tried in both zones for all the border locations, and still I'm at 18/19. Any other suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?
  16. Yeah, so I spent most of the weekend away from home (last minute plans), so this'll be postponed...not sure about next weekend 'cause of the holiday, but we'll see.

    Derp. Yeah, MoITF, too.
  18. Just realizing after returning that I possess exactly 0 of the Master Task Force badges (Khan, Statesman, Lady Grey, and now with Going Rogue, Recluse and Barracuda). So, I come here to see if there's any interest in getting these badges (of course there is) and I'm hoping a little pre-planning will help in this endeavor.

So, that being said, post if you'll be available Saturday and/or Sunday, at what time (in PST), and what you would bring for each TF. Also post your global. Personally, I'd like to acquire them all on my scrapper, but if need be, I have others I could bring instead
  19. yep, i've returned yet again. so, yeah.

    hi.

    what's up.
  20. Well, my BS/Inv scrapper has over 1500 hours logged on him, 679 badges, IO'd out, and has completed every single arc possible, so I'd say in that regard I've beat the game. Every thing listed in my signature is at 50, as well, so I've pretty much played every last little corner of this game.
  21. *orbital phaser cannon shooting boots to the face*

Don't you ever leave us again!
  22. District 9 was garbage. GI Joe was alright. Not the greatest, but entertaining.

    Forum problem

Don't know where better to put this, but when I try to log in to the forums from my home PC, it shows the screen that reads, "Thank you for logging in, esseff1", but then reverts to the main forum list and does not actually log me in. Here at my work PC, I have no problem logging in. Any suggestions as to what may be the problem?

The reason for this is derived from how weapons are generated as visual effects. They're all only held in a single hand and the location that the weapon is held at will never change. For a polearm/staff set, it doesn't make much sense to have a very close grip on it and wouldn't really allow BABs to generate powers that players would want (you know someone would want to spin their weapon in front of them as an attack). If the grip was spread out, there's no real way to ensure that the second hand will actually be holding on to the weapon while simultaneously ensuring that the weapon won't be bent strangely to the additional hand that it is anchored to (not to mention that it would need to be permanently anchored meaning that you wouldn't be able to shift grip).

If you want an example of this, make a Katana/* character that is as large as possible with shoulders as wide as possible. Enter the game, enter combat mode (re: activate an attack power with no target), and zoom in on your hands. The right hand won't actually be holding on to the weapon. This is because the Katana is actually anchored to the left hand and the right hand is simply in roughly the right spot.
Even better, use the hook hand or whatever it is with Dual Blades.
  25. My name is Alex and I am a scrapper. Well, my main and beloved is a BS/Inv scrapper, first hero I ever made, and have logged over 1200 hours on him. Despite how much I love him, he is currently my only 50 scrapper. However, I've a claws/regen at 40 atm, and hope to be getting some milage out of him. I've found myself playing support more recently, be it my kin, sonic, rad, empath or dark, but even those I play fairly aggresively.
