My return was briefly marred by the discovery of some corrupted Windows registry files, forcing a complete reformatting of this PC's hard drive...but all is well now and CoH looks gorgeous on an HD monitor at max resolution...hope to see you all soon!

Video card on my PC was found to be faulty, forcing a replacement card to be ordered...; -should- be back in action AGAIN in a day or 2....

Still more issues....
PC's video card was found to be faulty, forcing a replacement to be installed...for some odd reason, this may've botched the network card drivers, which in turn forced ANOTHER reformatting(rawr!)....
Back in business online, but now, the CoH updater is again refusing to cooperate, despite it being perfectly copied from the USB Flash Drive...re-installed the NCSoft folder and associated NCSoft Launcher, but it's getting hung up on downloading the 8.8M file to update to version 1600.20090902.5T2
...just sits there at 'Downloading', and never actually starts...ideas, anyone? :\
Alicia's none too keen on having to re-download the entire thing from the NCSoft account page, due to the size involved.... *sigh*

If you still have the games Disks I would reinstall the entire thing, also take in consideration that there will be a huge, huge, HUGE!!!! patch. So before u reinstall everything try running the launcher and leaving for a half an hour and see if it's made any progress.
Your pulse capacitor may be blown.

Well, it looks like Alicia got it working...hopefully, with no more unforeseen disasters coming soon.... <_<;;
In other semi-related news, I'm still awaiting news on my immigration and work permit applications for New Zealand, but we see no viable reason I'll be refused...doesn't mean I'm still a bit concerned, though, which only makes Alicia scold me for worrying too much, heh.
On another CoH-related note, anyone know how much internet usage the game takes up per hour?

After much activity and moving in my life, I've been in New Zealand for a few weeks now, and have actually got CoH back up and running on a new PC after much back and forth with support over why the Updater didn't want to cooperate!
In any case, I just thought I'd say hi and see how everyone's been doing!
...I also thought I'd Boot Sparky in the Head for old times sake, but, eh...it's a little predictable...
