I did the first for some AE minions and while the second isn't really stealthy with the blue/yellow combo, switching it out for black and maroon certainly makes for a more stealthy fellow.

Quote:While I agree there should be a refund or try before you buy mechanism, I'd like to counter with some conusmers have unreal expectations (and in no way am I making reference to the OP) and they are generally the squeakiest hinge in the joint. One of the biggest problems in the consumerscape is this. When we get screwed over
(again, speaking in general, not on the booster pack in specific,) we don't usually
do anything about it. Whether it's for $10 or $100, or whatever, we just shrug and
go "oh well it's only X" and go on about our business. Granted that's more
convenient to do most of the time, but it encourages patterns of bad behavior,
poor customer service, and nickel-and-dime money making at the consumer's
expense.
If you want quality service delivered to you, you have to stand up and go "Hey,
just a second here..." and let them know, when you feel you haven't received
fair value for your buck. If OP or anyone else, feels that the booster pack didn't
deliver said value for their buck for whatever reason, I wouldn't find it all that big of
a problem to go about reversing the transaction. It gets them their $10 back(which
would be worth double in personal satisfaction, in that event,) and delivers a
message about product quality/service, to the people who listen the hardest. -
Heh, I wonder if spelling and grammer nazis are taking advantage of the rep system? Getting neg rep for either is well worth the 15 bucks it cost to keep an account active
I found one of the posts that contributed to a -133 rep a bit back, unfortunately the only comment was "..."I sorta felt like the person that gets the crapped knocked out of them by an angry looking person (derseved or not) who doesn't say anything and then just goes away leaving to ponder why you just got the crapped knocked out of you.

Quote:Yeah, Self Detruct is useful for debt control (not that it matters much) and I've gotten alot of use out of the various costume partsOh, it's useful elsewhere. I use it to avoid debt, to hopefully kill off guys who are going to kill me anyway*, to halfway recharge my health and endurance at low levels in the middle of a fight ( Destruct + the temp self rez power ), etc. And most often, as a teleport-to-hospital power.
* By the way; using a defense debuff or eating a yellow greatly increases the chance of doing damage with Self Destruct. Temps/Inherents can't be damage boosted, but can be accuracy boosted. -

lol, beancounters FTW, by offering the shiny weapon carrot, they can save a whole helluva lot by making sure the hero and villians take the brunt of the assualt compared to thier expensively trained and outfitted regulars.

Thanks Tex, I got the system to boot after popping out 2 memory modules and I'm on my way. I'll go over your list again after the OS and various updates are installed.

Long story short, old PC fried abd I needed to get something with a little muscle together since using my PS3 doesn't quite fill all my gaming needs (mainly CoH)
Quote:I stuffed the guts in, made all the connections and fired the new box up, made one bone headed connection when I mistook a FP audio header for a USB header (easy fix there, just unlpugged and away I went. Unfortunately I have no video signal and the primary vid card's cooling fan revs up and down? when I peer into the case, I see a little blue LED by each PCI-E slot and they glow blue with the PCI-E cards installed and above the top PCI-E slot is a row of 6 (IIRC) LEDs that glow red and green (I'm guessing these actually denote SATA drive activity rather than some sort of MB status???)Hardware
A) 1 qty AMD Phenom II X2 545 Dual Core Processor - 3.00GHz, Socket AM3, 6MB Cache, 2000MHz (4000 MT/s) FSB, Retail, Processor with Fan
B) 2 qty B52-0250 BFG GeForce GTS 250 OC Video Card - 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, (2) Dual Link DVI, SLI Ready
C) 1 qty C13-2503 Corsair TX750W 750-Watt Power Supply - ATX, 140mm Fan, SLI-Ready, SATA-Ready, 80Plus
D) 2 qty C13-6082 Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2 x 2048MB)
E) 1 qty C44-3390 Creative Labs 70SB088600002 SoundBlaster X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Pro PCIe Sound Card
F) 1 qty M452-6032 MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum Motherboard - nForce 750a, Socket AM2+, ATX, Audio, Video, DVI, PCI Express 2.0, USB 2.0, SATA, RAID, SLI
All stuffed in a Coolermaster CM690 case with 3 120mm fans and 3 140mm fans along with a 750 gig sata drive and sata CD/DVD reader.
I'm at a loss for the reason why thier is no video (monitor flashes analop input, but I'm using a DVI-D adapter for my LCD - had a regular DVI-D cable but family member conviently cannibalized it when my old compy went down)?
I'm wondering if I need to go into the BIOS and set the MB up for PCI-E operation since it has onboard video (complicated further by using an older version of the DVI-D interface for video for which I have no correct adpater). To the possiblity that there is a component failure on th rig.
Also the power on LED and HD activity LED are blinking when the computer is on.
In any event I appreciate any help or advice pointed my way. -
IMO Preatoria is probably more LN than LE and I certain Paragon City is more NG than LG. It would be a stretch to call some of my hero's LG for sure.

I just want to say Creole Ned's avatar makes me think of Watership Down, in a General Woundworty kinda way.

Quote:I can agree here, I even hate the fact that your name and AT can be seen by an opposing player. IMO in a faction zone, your friends should be readily identifiable and thats it, in a free for all it should just be your character and eveything else is fog of war until your defeated.. Part of the challenge of a PvP zone in a game that has a PvP population is that you don't know who you are up against. You don't know who you are going to face. You don't know what assets the enemy has. You don't know what kind of force can be brought against you. Which means you have to stay on your toes and be ready for anything. Which means you have to stand ready to... I dunno... PLAY THE GAME.

Suck it loyalist pigs! Anyways, now thats out of the way, what were we talking about?

Quote:Awesome, when the failed experiment is nothing but a footnote in history, our sole contribution will be an accent influence... its something I guess????Though they are undoubtedly much less popular, things opera, traditional folk songs and choral elements of classical pieces (all of which I love) are examples to the contrary.
Since a lot of contemporary musical styles can trace their origins to the United States the accent has carried over when those styles are embraced by other cultures.
I think, ultimately, the accent suits the music. -
Quote:The 250 cards are essentially updated 9xxxx Nvidia cards, to move to a newer architecture card, you have to go with the 260+(thats the jist of a majority of articles I read on them).I think the card would melt with all the extra shadows and reflections of Ultra
Been looking at getting a GTS 250, but getting a bit confudled with everything I'm suppose to look for
alot of site conflict with one another, might be better off just getting a new pc!

Yes, yes, power under the curve and all that. Cole's society only appears to cause the least amount of suffering, in the long run it stiffles the human condition and makes it weaker, diminishing what it means to be human.
Cole's perfect society can only ignore the world at large for so long and like a tsunami, one day it will come crashing in on "perfect" Preatoria and what will Cole's throng of happy automatons do then? Perish like the ineffectual fleas that they are, thats what. -

Quote:Not gonna betray our whereabouts to any of these loyalist lackies. The way I see it, you've got two types of resistance fighters; the in your face make it happen now crowd who take on the beast with thier flashy show of resistance garnering the most attention and the guys who live and work out on the fringe, slowly and steadily chipping impercetibly away at the tyrants paradise until its to late. We all have our part and place. That just brings this to mind, which doesn't quite seem... resistance-y.
