The rikti invaded. There were promotions for it somewhere in the log-in experience.

I logged on last night to look for a rikti raid on an alt to get the badges, no raids. I googled the raids and found that they were for the weekend only.

I'm sure the dates were presented to me in the promotions. I just didn't bother to read and absorb what they said.

But I am going to claim that the fault lies with CoX marketing and not with me. Next time make it even more obvious.

the only solution is to remove IO's from the game so that the balance around SO's is felt by all.

I agree that DfB is more fun than a lot of the other content. If you have not done it in awhile, it is just a fast moving group fighting a variety of foes with some semi-interesting AV fights.

I don't like DiB as much and I'm not sure why. Others seem to agree as it is done much less than DfB even by higher levels. Could be that CoT are a much bigger pain.

the final battle in posi 1 is toughest if you have controllers. They have higher mezz resist than you do. So they can hold you, and you can't hold them.

I really like that fight as you can be very tactical - pull, focus fire, etc - or just run in and hope for the best.

super strength covers 90% of super heroes
guns covers 4%
sword covers 3%

everything else is maybe 5 characters per powerset

so you could add stretching for the 4 characters that have it (including Super Skrull), flame powers for the 8 characters that have it (including the Elementals)

but there are no other comic book staple powersets - there are just iconic characters that have powers

marvel is making better movies than Fox did with superheroes

and it would be great to allow crossovers

but I care more about DD then Silver Surfer by far

a gritty DD, Kingpin, Electra, Bullseye, the Hand - would be awesome

but this is just scaled up to the figures basically - which makes it awesome

the characters have traveled through time. They see a statue of a great hero from the past - one of the characters.

I pug constantly. While defs and corrs offer good support, a controller is best. Because if you get aggro no one will take it from you. So being able to hold foes will save you a lot of pain.

fire/rad or something /time are good (I have grav/time but for thematics, I don't recommend it).

a dark/sonic defender is also awesome. You have a ton of controls plus sonic blast which is -res.

ice slick tends to be bad on pugs - some other controller/dom will throw out aoe immobilizes which prevent knockback and make your slick useless.

there is no question that buffs and debuffs matter the most to teams. And due to the purple patch rules, if you get to high end performance buffs are better than debuffs - except -regen for AV's and GM's.

Rad, Kinetic, Dark, Thermal, Cold are all good sets with Rad and Kinetic probably the best for support. And the only "bad" set is FF and that is really just if everyone has IO's for +def already.

I should play a kin again sometime but don't have anything I want to pair it with

if you are going for performance, than only fire/rad and fire/kin controllers matter

I find it very funny that people spend so much time agonizing over minor performance differences between two marginal AT's in teams at incarnate levels with purples.

as noted already - any non-buffing or debuffing AT in a team is simply filler for the buffers and debuffers to work with.

a brute makes a better pet for a controller than a tanker at incarnate levels
a tanker makes a better teammate than a brute for a controller at low levels

that would be awesome if you could go to a store (or at home), use CoX costume creator to make a character look, and print out an action figure

have not seen FC yet (the other x-men movies soured me to them, skipped Wolverine as well). But Days of Future Past should be cool if they usual the actual story

yeah, a crash free ranged nuked that does -55% END and -100% recovery will dramatically change electric blasts ability to sap effectively.

of course in the comics people took lots of damage all of the time when they supposedly couldn't. The x-men generally have no special defenses - Angel just had his wings. But they could take a punch.

but if your super strength is psionic or some other form, there is no reason why your body would be tougher
