Figure I may as well post something I came up with. I took a Rad/Sonic build and switched some things around for Ice Blast.

Quote:What kind of price range are you looking at? Generally speaking there's super cheap, non-purples only, purples okay, and lolpvp recipe price ranges.
Not taking him into PvP again unless I12 PvP is back. Purples are fine, I already have a few. I've got plenty of resources blueside, just don't know my way around a build that doesn't completely suck. -
I'm looking to respec my first 50 and namesake but I'm really not sure about how to do things. I thought about just taking my Ice/Rad Corruptor's build and making it work for the Defender equivalent but I'd like to see if anyone has any decent PvE builds I could look at, because I still don't know which direction I want to go with a respec.
I know Rad/Ice isn't used that much, but I want to try and get some more life out of this toon. I originally made it for PvP, but Issue 13 made my Defender and Corruptor sad in the pants. -

Maybe I should try to be on the next time one of those things starts. I have my newest MM up to 38, so I figure the /Dark will help, as long as Howling Twilight actually hits. I've been known to get my Robotics/FF and just hover with Dispersion Field on, moving forward so that the the idea is "follow the big bubble" and people don't plant themselves on the rim of the ship, never moving.
I think the biggest issue with these raids is that you don't see a lot of players with FF, Sonic or Dark, though the Dark Miasma is rising in numbers thanks to Demon Summoning. I think having a few people with Dark Miasma is key to taking on the mothership, because they're all about AoE. Nothing else can save a raid from the brink of falling apart because everybody decided to play chicken with the Rikti Magus and lost. The single-most useful power is, without a doubt, Howling Twilight.
I'm echoing other posts by also saying that anybody can lead a mothership raid, yes anybody. All you have to do is be able to tell people what to do. Most of us already know, but we have attention spans measured in... ooh, shiny red ball! -
People complain that Mystic Fortune prompts, so it gets changed to auto-accept, then people complain about it again, so the code goes back for review. Why not just make it so nobody gets it by retroactively rolling the code back out? Ah, wait... people will complain yet again, likely some of the same people being critical about something like a prompt.
I never have had a problem with removing the prompt for Mystic Fortune. If the sound gets bothersome, I just hit the mute button. I've been one of those players where I don't mind drive-by buffs. I've done drive-by buffing or helped someone with buffs/debuffs that don't do damage before, and usually they say "thanks". I've only ran into a few people on teams where they actually complained about someone buffing, and man did they flip out. They didn't last very long, usually faceplanted/quit/kicked not too long after complaining.
Reading through some of the responses in this thread, it seems to parallel this clip. It's kind of silly once you look at it like that. I'd much rather see dev and QA time going to other things, and kicking up a big stink over Mystic Fortune isn't a very useful thing to be doing with GR and Incarnates around the corner. There isn't going to be a happy medium for this and someone will always find a reason to complain about it, even if you can turn the prompt on and off, someone will complain that there's now an option.

Quote:Valid points indeed, more suitable for invasion type of events though. We try and come up with stories that require just as much behind-kicking but also favor immersion. We'll get there
Hopefully you guys will have some time to further refine events such as this after the GR and Incarnates go-lives. -
I was there and eventually he said he was following me. Unfortunately, all of the people with all of their pets, auras and PBAoEs going didn't help and it looked like Kadabra disconnected at one point. We got to the first bridge and it's like everybody stopped moving. I saw the mages, but nobody was hitting them. The NPCs definitely need to be treated like GMs, not just level 54s in Cap.
I got tired of the QQ and massive amounts of fail that Freedom has no end of, so I exited the game and went to play one of those silly PopTop games. I don't think I got any shiny golden title, but I didn't have to deal with all of the QQ. It wouldn't be that bad if Freedom didn't have so much fail in its population. -
Nay, Tito's Handmande Vodka is where it's at. It's made near where I live (Austin, TX). Smoothest tasting vodka I've had, other than Chopin, just without the inflated pricetag. The best way to drink it is on the rocks, it's not a mixing type of spirit.

Get your SB right here! That's right, you can run faster and go longer! You can have your very own SB for the low, low introductory price of 25 inf. Act quick and you'll receive not one but TWO extra buffs! That's right, two! Hurry! Supplies are limited! Limit one SB per household, offer valid in continental US and outlying territories, void where prohibited.
Unfortunately, the US government has decided to ban all exportation of SB outside the US. Fortunately for our neighbors outside our borders, we have a new product just for you! Hot off the streets of Paragon City, it's ID! ID is like SB, but it doesn't make you run fast or go longer.
ID is not habit forming. ID or SB have not been evaluated by the FDA in any way. Some users may experience certain side effects as a result of using SB or ID. Please check with your doctor before beginning an SB or ID regimen. -
Quote:Just reactivated my US account and been playing on emp defender healer damz again on freedom and got to say, love it!
Dont take this as an insult but i love the challenge that in most of the PUGs i've been on so far have been a bit [whats the word?] dumb. Has made being an emp defender fun and active again! Seen a good few players so far though obviously but love the fact that so far it seems 8/10 people on this server needs a constant healer on them
That being said, somebody get me a supergroup thats active during EU daytime please!
Just wanted to say hi reallyCatch you all ingame!
@damz
PuGs can be fun, but we've got some pretty terribad players running around (like that Turgenev guy). Just wait for the next big thing to farm to hit the general population and you'll see the amount of stupid Freedom has to offer.

As others have stated, this isn't fixed. I ran into it last night, the first time I zoned into Cimerora, with the toon I was playing. I eventually got unstuck, but it took 4-5 times zoning back and forth, and I was stuck in both places. Also, I consistently have been getting stuck in the crystal in the Midnighter Club for at least the past few months. Jumping around and using a Raptor Pack or Fly eventually works.

Ultra Mode is optional, and in fact the first time starting up CoH since I17, it prompts you if you want to enable Ultra Mode or continue with your existing settings. Even when enabling Ultra Mode, the settings won't be completely maxed out. Still, you can adjust the settings to something that works with your hardware, or even disable Ultra Mode altogether.
Also, since the next logical step is to ragequit, I'll take some stuff, too. -

There's about 100 or so everyday broadcasting all over. In fact, other players indeed broadcast these same requests.
If you can't find them by their broadcast/request walls of spam, you're doing it wrong.
this thread = doing it wrong -
Obviously, at least 6 months. This, of course, with orders signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public inquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters.

Quote:Alt-Tab stopped working under Win7 for me as well.
As was stated by another previously, I use Ctl-Alt-Delete to bring up the process monitor, which also gives me access to my taskbar. Sometimes, though, I notice ProcMon will not display over CoV, and I have to click the set of keys twice - but eventually it will work.
I would revert desktop themes, but I like the one I have and this work-around isn't too much trouble.
As previously indicated, if you have an ATI card, try updating to Catalyst 10.3 or 10.4. It fixed the issue for me. -
-
Just to mimic a couple of previous posts, non-PvP events in PvP zones on Freedom may generally hang a neon sign on you that says "AS/shark me". When I see someone organize a heroside pillboxing, I'm usually on my stalker. They either pay attention to me or the turret. Alas, no drops yet.
p.s. When is the next hero pillbox event? -
I've got something of every AT except doms and widows.
-
Everything is peachy-keen now. I pretty much had to let it sit and come back after a while.
-
Unfortunately, I had some fussy hardware earlier in the evening and I wasn't able to get either of my desktops up and running until about 15 minutes ago. If you guys weren't able to get the badge, feel free to blame me.
