Some strategy suggestions I have:

Mission One: For time consideration, you can suicide Penelope Yin to "fail" the mish but continue the TF. This entails stealthing to the Rikti prison chamber where Yin's being kept, and then walking her into a group of nearby Rikti. Beware the Clockwork ambushes during this period.

Mission Two: Again for time consideration, you can have a stealth TPer bring the team to each point where you encounter the Riders, form up, then tackle the group, all the way to the end. Remember, The "Famine: Rider" must always die first - his debuffs are sick.

Mission Three: Suiciding the captive sisters Glacia and Infernia isn't just a time saver, but a societal gift for keeping the Chattersome Duo off our Earth. Same rules apply as with mish 1: Stealth around until the "Free X captive" updates your navigation compass, free them, then get 'em killed. Beware the Rikti ambushes that are triggered with each captive.

Mission Four: The Weakened Hamidon is fairly straightforward, except for the current (as of 5/23/10) MAG 50 mez resistance of the green mitochondria, which effectively requires a high hold capacity on the team (controllers, dominators, blast/defenders with hold attacks, etc). Make sure that a tank is successfully drawing aggro from the nucleus as you finish the mitos off, or the Hami will begin attacking the player who did last damage on the mitos. Judicious use of EoE (Essence of the Earth) inspirations is a great way of avoiding "oops" moments like what I just outlined.

Mission Five: Again, stealthable to the final room, where your three objectives are located (2 AV kills, 4 generator destructions). Staying together is critical; you can get easily swamped in this room if you're not careful. One tactic is to take on the Rikti AV Hro'Dtohz, then the Honoree who is spawned when Hro'Dtohz is around 25% health, then take out the generators quickly while avoiding ambushes and general Rikti aggro. You can also go in reverse and wipe the room of Rikti mobs to minimize general aggro, pop the generators, then the AVs. How you work this out depends on your team build and general capacity for rapid damage output (to bring the AVs and generators down in a minimum of time).

In which order did you take the mitos out?

Hi E! Please add Roxona claws/regen scrapper. However, I can bring a support toon if needed.

On the two MoLGTFs I've been on (once with Turg), we take down the mitos as follows: yellow, blue and green.

I'll either be on Dr. Hollywood (Emp/Psi Defender) or Infinite Agony (Mind/Thorn Dom), depending on whether or not I manage to get the badge before Saturday.

General strategy for the Mitos has been:

  • Tank/Brute Taunts yellows as Melee ATs (and only melee ATs) attack. If the team has an Empath with +Regen, no EoEs should be needed at this point.
  • Tank/Brute Taunts blues/greens to pull the damage off the Ranged ATs while they kill one blue at a time (Melee ATs take a nap). Exiting after each blue is recommended, to let the -heal from the green's attacks fade. If you have an Emp/Sonic/Pain/MedPool, they should keep the Tank/Brute and all other ranged toons CMed/Clarified/EMed/Stimed at all times during this part (small note: Kinetics' ID does not have -fear). If you exit after each kill, EoEs shouldn't be needed.
  • Tank/Brute pulls aggro again, and may need to use EoEs at this point. The Green Mitos have 50 hold resistance, so Mez ATs should be only using single target or very small AoE holds; and spamming them. When the Mito is held, its health will begin dropping very quickly, at which time the Melee ATs can enter the frey if the Ranged damage cannot overwhelm the heals from the neighboring greens. It's recommended to keep meleers out during this phase though, to help prevent accidental aggro on Hamidon.
Reminder: the green Mitos have a massive -heal (-75% per icon) and it stacks. After 2 icons stack, your heals are only about 6% effective, and only 1% at 3. At 4 stacks, the game rounds down to 0 healing received. DO NOT rely on your heals while fighting the greens. If you take too much green aggro, retreat and let the icons vanish, then heal and re-enter the jello.
  • Tank/Brute draws Hami aggro AWAY from the rest of the group. EoEs are recommended, but not entirely necessary (an Empath with Regen Aura, perma-AB, and Absorb Pain with a fast recharge can keep the Taunter alive without them). Note that Hamidon's attacks have a -heal as well, though it's much less than the green mito's (about -10%, I think). If the fight goes on long enough, heals will start doing next to nothing, so bring EoEs just in case regardless (the new e-mail system is wonderful for this).
Final Reminder: All of Hamidon's and its Mito's attacks are auto-hit and have unique damage. If your shields are not providing mez resistance and/or +regen, they are just eating Endurance with no benefit. Using +def and/or +res Inspirations is likewise worthless. The ONLY thing that protects against the unique damage is the Essence of the Earth (EoE) inspiration, which is dropped randomly by a defeated Devouring Earth Monster. You can buy them from WW/BM, but they're about 1 million inf a piece right now, iirc.

Obligatory pet peeve micro-rant: If you're a "healer", one of the single dumbest and worst things you can do during the Hamidon fight is stand next to the Tank-type and "rock the aura." Auto-healing is a Wall of Shame for Empaths.

I may or may not be home that night. Got a friend coming home briefly from Afghanistan and we're suppose to hang out either Friday or Saturday evening.

But if I'm home I'll have Caliburst at the ready to help if you need it

I hope your friend is well. Is he/she coming home on R&R or is their unit leaving country?

You are full and I am going to ComiCon this weekend but I would like to run with my shade sometime on this if possible.

Badging in a PvP zone?

If you are treasure hunting on a battlefield wearing an enemy uniform, there is a high probability that you will be attacked.
