I pvp with my MA/Elec stalker on virtue and find it does pretty good. Elec Armor has good resists to all (including psi) and I find it can withstand good assaults from blasters/defenders/scrappers. Combo'd with Spiritual Radial Boost & IO sets, makes it a good killing machine. The only thing lacking with it is no perception but in the long run I've learned to work around that. Regen hasn't been good on a stalker since pre-i13. I had a KM/SR stalker but found the damage to be very lackluster so I deleted it.
Elec melee for stalkers does good damage but lacks in accuracy, so if you plan to make one include some global acc bonuses & maybe add in tactics(gives a better to-hit buff then targeting drone) and that can make up for it. -
I would say it's best to have both stamina & quick recovery in pvp. Having good end recovery is important. Getting the temp webnade power doesnt do any good since you only have a set number of charges. So it would be better for you the invest in the ancillary set that has it. Webnade recharges very fast too so it's easy to stack it as well.
I believe you can still get Physical Perfection under Weapon Mastery too..... -
I just wanted to say thank you to all that showed up for the CC event! There were lots of contestants with great costumes and it was difficult to pick the winners.
Have a great weekend all -

Depends on what you wanna build for. Are you looking for accuracy, rech, or HP bonuses?
This will help some in the direction you want to head down.... -
taking static discharge is pointless when you have tons of other attacks and the sentinel to drain huge amounts of endurance on your target....just not needed

For anyone who is interested in joining the Imperious Task Force, I run them daily between 2pm-3pm(5pm-6pm EST). I usually do them at a medium pace(never speedy), for those who are interested and sometimes more than 1 time in the same day on a different toon. I also let anyone who is 35+join (for those who are looking to level up).
You can send me a tell @BADA BOOOOM during this time period or you can join the Justice United Channel as well. On Justice United, we broadcast for a lot of TFs/SFs, accolades, farming and much more.
If you join the Justice United channel remember one thing. This is a "family"channel. Volger Language and behavior isn't tolerated whatsoever. We are here on JU to help each other out and so forth.....
Look forward to seeing you on my ITF teams! -
yeah thats true Leandro, but with that said they could at least tell us SOMETHING instead of nothing at all. they owe us that at least if anything....
-
They(the devs) should make it a point to inform their gaming community when there's a major server issue like this. Those servers have been down more than 2 hrs now and it would be appropriate for them to bring us up to par on when they'll be back up.
-
Yeah I had noticed that too on my SS/Invul Brute as well. Seems like they fixed temp invunerability and unyielding but not invincibility. Fix 2 bugs and another pops up........LOL
-
Are they even trying to do anything to get Justice back up and running?
-
yeah i was on a BNY team too and we were half way to the entrance of the mission with him and it mapserved.....
-
Plant control as a primary for dominators is good(seeds of confusion, carrion creepers etc) and for your assault i'd say either elec assault(for end drain and the volt sentinel, plus decent damage) or energy assault which got a good damage buff out of all dom assault sets, or even stone assault is good too(seismic smash FTW!
)
Hope that helps..... -
I would strongly suggest that you take Power Boost and Aid Self. Power Boost as you may or may not know can increased the duration of holds, strengthen your heal, increase your endo drain(if you had taken power sink etc).
I have a earth/earth dom and passed on tremor and hasten and took tough+charged armor. I have about 40% or global rech and find I can still kill pretty quickly without the need to use hasten. It's not very often that I dont take hasten on my toons though.....
I would pass on weave too(it can be endo heavy unless you plan to 6 slot it) and invest those slots elsewhere(possibly on pff or elsewhere) and if you use Power Boost before PFF can put your defense over 130%(which can be a lifesaver when HP is low, then you can heal by aid self as well.....)
just some ideas is all..... -
Elec/Fire is a good brute combination for doing high damage in a very short amount of time. Now with that said, Fiery Aura doesn't have as much S/L resist as other builds(invul/elec armor, etc). But if you invest in tough as well(fighting pool) that can bring you up to about 52% S/L resist.
I would recommend you to invest in IO sets(crushing impact/doc wounds etc) to help give you global accuracy/rech/damage boosts. With good recharge you can keep your HP up(via healing flames) and drastically reduce the time it takes abilities to become available again. If you would like, I can make you a build for your Elec/Fire brute and it can give you an idea on what might help "beef up" your toon.
You can send me a message here at the forums or reply to what I've said here. -
I think in the long run if you want your heroes/villains to be at their"best" that investing in IOs is the best way to go. Hamidons are still useful, but can be difficult to acquire(depending on which ones you want) and even from doing the STF or LRSF, even though you can pick a "hamidon" as your reward, what you get is random. Personally for me, my luck in getting good hamidons was far and few and I'd rather take the merits and save them up and do random rolls(saved up 800 or more go some good rolls too).......
-
LOL i meant to say that you could turn off the diminishing returns in arena matches not in pvp.....I didn't realize what I had typed till it was too late.......thats what happens when you start to type before you finish thinking XD
-
Even with all the joke changes they did to pvp, you can turn off the diminishing returns in pvp and have matches that are pre-i13.
Personally i think they should dump travel suppression and the heal decay....the DRs are bad enough as is :/ -
There are no lvl 53 enhancement sets, even though some sets have lvl 53s listed on the Black Market/Wentworths, there are none available, but there are bids on them.
With that said, It really depends on what you want. If you want to have set bonuses go with IOs, if you're more of a hami user, then go that route. In the long run in my opinion, it's better to go the IO route. You can use both hami's and IOs in your build as well and benefit in both ways..... -
doms will still have a damage bonus in domination, it just wont be as high as before since they're getting it out of domination....
-
Using aid self is alot better than Dark Regen(also because aid self takes alot less endo). One thing i've noticed about DA too is it uses alot of endo. It has higher end/sec then a number of other secondaries.
One thing too in i13 pvp is the longer the activation of a power, the more damage it does. for example, Fireball for Corrs and blasters used to do decent damage, but now with i13 pvp, since fireball has a very short activation time, flares now does more damage since its activation or attack duration lasts longer.
the only other thing i'd say is, DA already has very high Psi resist(which is 50% or more) you wouldnt necessarily need that proc in dark embrace. Holds on brutes/tankers/scrappers dont last more than a few secs now so in ways it would be pointless to have on..... -
you can't slot tough for def, only resist.
You can get tough up to about 18.14% (titanium coating:resistance, resistance/endo, resistance/rech, resistance/rech/endo and then 2 lvl 50 resist IOs) -
I think the idea behind fury is good but also a failed attempt at making the brute powerful. I don't like the fact that in order to do more damage i keep having to get hit or attack. When i pvp with BADA BOOOOM, sometimes it can be incredibly difficult to get it up that high, and my attacks are slotted well with accuracy too. You can be dead in a pvp zone before your fury gets high enough to kill anyone even with rage going...
Personally i think they should've made fury a toggle instead of the bogus crud they did to us. its bad enough that they nerfed SS in the first place.....
I guess thats just my whine for the day......
