Quote:A portion of it will and is subject to ED. A smaller portion won't and will get around ED. Read the link above... it gives examples.Okay but you know how after like 50% enhanced resistance it just starts crapping out. Will 20% turn to like 2% because of that?

He's invisible on one of the ledges.
You can try slowly moving around without any stealth and hope he sees you and attacks, thus flushing him out.
Or, abandon the mission and re-take it and be careful about where Maelstrom goes. -
Quote:Old Sprint, before it got its recent buff and unenhanced would make you go from 14 mph to 21 mph. There are times when the slow "trot" is a good effect. If I wanted to go faster I'd turn on Sprint or the travel power.
Unenhanced Swift will make you go 19 mph instead of 14 mph. -
The question is meaningless unless you also specify what monitor(s) you're using and and what your resultant FPS is.
If you have a small monitor you might be able to get away at fully maxed settings at 15-20 fps with the latest technology.
If you have a large monitor, you'll see the fps drop to 5. Would you call that slide-show as actually having maxed ultra mode? (It's great for screen-shots, though.)
Until true dual graphics chips drivers are enabled for CoH, you won't see anyone having 30 fps (the usual standard for playability) on a large screen monitor with everything maxed out.
Each maxed out special feature of Ultra Mode can be adequately displayed, if the other settings are turned down. The technology is still not in place for all the features to be maxed out all at the same time on a large screen at an acceptable FPS. -
**IF** the Fitness Pool had an aura you couldn't turn off, I'd be on their side.
But as long as there's Walk, I have no sympathy for the RPers who just stand around and chat.
And for the RPers who can solo Elite Bosses with their 'regular' and 'natural' powers, any arguments that 'Fitness' is too 'super' is ridiculous, ludicrous, and laughable.
You see what you made me do there? A triple redundancy? Are you happy now? Are. You. HAPPY?!!! -
Check out this thread, Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines
Then post the results of these two programs:
- CoH Helper - it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
- HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format > Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.

You want me to provide one for you or do you not have a sense of imagination?
Oh, noes! My teammate's doing 5% more damage than me on the Positron TF we exemplared down to do! At least I have the full Fitness Pool active while doing it. And none of my 1-20 powers slots are wasted on a Fitness Pool power because... I have them all as inherents!Quote:Hope you don't intend to SK down anytime soon. And don't mind the people who use the Alpha Slot to bypass ED restriction outdamaging you.
How about taking three extra powers you would never ever use and use them as mules for Special Global IOs?
There is no down side to this. -
It only makes sense that BAB couldn't have been picked up by Cryptic so quickly. It takes four days to change alignment.

Quote:For some reason, I now have a long long forgotten melody running through my head and I need some help IDing the original.
In my head it's a song but the words are replaced with
We love you Brawler... oh yes we do.
We love you Brawler... your always true.
When your not with us we're blue
Oh Brawler we love you.
Now, what on Earth is that from? I know I didn't make it up as I have a melody to go with it.
We Love You Conrad with Ann Margaret Naked*Quote:Afraid not, thanks though. I ran through it enough times in my head, trying to silence the Brawler part and it finally came to me.
It's we love you birdie from Bye Bye Birdie.

Quote:During Beta/Test GR was active on all accounts, so, there was no way to know which costumes were I18 and which were GR. We were guessing Sport and Overguard were I18 since they had nothing to do with Praetoria. That guess was wrong. I asked people online who didn't have GR yet (like Snow Globe, whose order was lost in GameStop hell (a redundancy, I know)) and they did not have access to Sport or Overguard. They were part of the expansion, not the free issue.
Costumes
- Combat Mode Auras: Players now have the ability to set all Auras to “Combat Mode”. Combat Mode Only versions of all auras have been added to the Tailor and Facemaker. These auras will only turn on when your character engages in combat. They are selectable from Aura -> Effect menu. (Note: The option for persistent Auras (always on) is still available.)
- There are no new costume sets for Issue 18 (there are 7 costume sets that unlocked with Going Rogue).
That being said, people who limit their ideas of 'costume' to clothing and armor bits will be constantly disappointed. Character customization includes auras, weapon customization, and power FX customization, and now, power animation customization.
When it was just clothing, the art department could spit out more of that since that's all they were working on. But now that they're working on so many different types of character customization, they can't churn out costume set after costume set like they used to. -
Quote:His LinkedIn status has changed and I've heard from another source.Someone called CBruce posted, with just one post to their name and an account creation of today.
The internet has made me skeptical of such things as fact.
Christopher Bruce is no longer employed by Paragon Studios.

He really is no longer with Paragon Studios.
His LinkedIn profile has changed.
And I've heard from another source.
By, Chris! Was fun! Good luck! -
Quote:Indeed. It was remarkable to see PS go from 15 Devs (+4 Production) to over 80 employees. I thought they were going to cap at 60, but they kept hiring aggressively steadily EVEN THROUGH THE GREATEST RECESSION SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION. That should say something.
I'm pretty sure they hired extras and got some NCSoft Staff (like Tex) to hunker down and get GR done.
Losing (a rumored) 9 out of 80 is nothing. Sorry for those 9, but, for the long term effects on CoH, it's nothing. Time to trim the payroll and enjoy the extra sub money GR brought in.
No doom.
Quote:hmmm thats funny...i think statesman wrote something like that right before e.d. came out and we lost half the population of this game...im just saying..soemtimes say something besides what has been said alreadyIt was Statesman who said we lost about 2,000 over ED. But since CoV came out at the same time, subs skyrocketed and the loss of those 2,000 became invisible on the graph of subs. Statesman said of all the forum /ragequit storms, ED was the only one that they saw had a real affect on the number of subs. (That was before the PvP ragequit storm and any speculation of the amount of actual loss in that case is unfounded speculation.)Quote:It's been documented that only about 2,000 people quit over ED, one of the devs (I think Posi) said as much in a post once. Not that significant out of a playerbase of (at the time) around 150,000+.
Maybe BAB is staging is own corporate death so he can witness his wake! -
They got rid of the nine people working on the Vault.
-
They went back to the size they were a year ago.
With GR now out, I can see that they might not need so many environmental and conceptual artists.
Also, there were a lot of 'producer' hires, which left me scratching my head wondering what they all do -- which may be more ignorance on my part for what production actually does than that they might have been a bit too production heavy. So, some of the lay offs might have been production.
Also, quite a few hires in the past year weren't permanent jobs... said so in the help wanted description.
So... no doom.
Oh, and BAB has been logging in and out of the forums the past few nights... and he still has a red name. -
If a particular crafted IO is very high, but the recipes are much cheaper, I jump on that and craft and sell at slightly under the going rate. If others are doing the same, it drives the price down.
So, the answer is most likely that the recipes for those IOs were probably flooding the market a bit. -
Be level 50. Unlock Alpha Slot. Get a basic Alpha Boost aspect, such as End or Recharge added at 33% strength to every freakin' power. Respec around that fact and pull out slots and add them elsewhere.
-
It's just the erotic CoH online comic book. You have to be over 18 and have a level 50 in Virtue to get it.
-
I'd guess, but you beat me to it when you described what it is you're working on. :P

Quote:Don't bother respecking?I love the idea of fitness finally becoming a inherent power and its still slot-able but I see and issue maybe with 2 powers almost everyone gets and most who do slot it 2 with two more per power there might be a slotting shortage with the ability of opening 2 other powers
ex old toon had heath and endurance with 3 slots each --said toon was slotted tight and used all for needed/wanted powers to be IO'ed with 5 to 6 slot IO's
now those 2 powers are free and need to be slotted with 3 slots to keep toon play balance as same -now you want to use those 2 new powers that became available with maybe another attack type power
whoops now your short say somewhere between 5 to 6 slots per new power for a total need to IO right of 8 to 10 slots needed
a fix of this maybe to start 3 slotting reward availability earlier than level 30 ish to level 20 for a fix or at level 40 slotting goes to 4 or 5 for the fix
any other ideas besides picking powers that only need 1 slot???
Seriously, what's wrong with picking up some one-slot wonders: Stealth, Recall Friend, Vengeance, Health Pool powers, TP, etc...?
Frankly, I get annoyed when I'm the only one on the team with Recall Friend. -
-
Between inherent Fitness and the Alpha Slot, I don't know how anyone could *not* respec their level 50.
It's a moral imperative.
The Alpha Slot should come with a resp...
brb... going to Suggestions.
