Yeah, I know. You seriously need to update the Fan Site Kit so that their graphics look better.

At one time, all Personal Computers (PCs) were *desk top* Personal Computers. Thus the confusion that a PC is a desk top computer.
But then came portable PCs and lap top PCs and netbook PCs.
But they're all PCs because they're all computers owned by a particular person.
And the same for hand held devices which are computers with an OS and user defined applications and personally owned.
Thus, I agree with the above. As does Wikipedia. -
Quote:Thanks for the link. There was a thread few months ago: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=238497
Well, that thread got derailed by the CoP Badge discussion and never settled through empirical testing what the deal is with the badge.
More than likely it is a bugged tool tip. But it would be nice if we verified that.
(And I did search, but stupid forum software won't search for a two-letter name such as "SG".) -

Quote:And that's what I'm trying to determine. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. like I couldn't read that myself. I made my post telling you what the badge was, I didn't comment on the percentage, I have no idea why the percentage is like it is, maybe it's another great bug that's not working as intended.
But hey, ignore my post if you want, hell I don't know what I'm talking about here anyway.
Is it a bug or a new SG badge? You simply saying "it's X Badge" without addressing the bug of the percentage done is not helpful.
I'm trying to collect data.
But this isn't the first time that you rely on 'a list' and ignore actual in-game results. -
Quote:Ummm... you're missing this part....Sorry my comment was to Zombie Mam, but there are only 3 defeat badges, if you already have the Scorpion Surprise badge, then it's the last one which would be:
Rikti Plasma Turret: Defeat Lanaru the Mad 5 times to earn this badge.
Under that, I have a badge that's 32 (32.00%) of 100 completed.
So, it's not even a percentage mistake as others are pondering. "32 of 100". Right under Improved Igniter under Defeats tab. -
I have under SG Defeats the Improved Igniter.
Under that, I have a badge that's 32 (32.00%) of 100 completed. It is unnamed as of yet.
According to the Wiki, there are two other SG defeat badges: one for killing Lanaru 5 times and one for killing LR 5 times.
So.... what could be the one that's 32.00% done? -
I use my bases all the time. Really... a lot. For several purposes, all mentioned above.
So, that definitively answers the questioned being asked: Are bases obsolete?
Absolutely not.
But that's not the real question being asked. I have little patience or tolerance for people who play that kind of word-game to make the point they want to make under the guise of an innocent question.
The real point being made is: "I want new stuff for bases!"
Fine, valid request.
But to pretend that one is 'worried' that bases are 'obsolete' because you're not getting what you want is insincere and a crime against language having meaning. -
Nope. It doesn't have that extra X% chance of Y mez power listed that other Controller powers have.

A summary of what happened last year and vague statements about next year.
Unlike the first Posi state of the game address, there are now two Super MMOs to worry about, and thus, there will be no announcement of plans past what we already know about the next issue.
Also, future tidbits are now relegated to live conference appearances to generate 'interest' in those horrid online gamesites that pose as journalistic endeavors. -
I don't understand all the Day Job Badge hate when compared to the more onerous badges:
Epic farm badges like the damage one (that wasn't reduced like some of the others). Not only can you not play your badger while it's farming for these badges, but you can't play any of your alts either!
Invention Badges: Yay! I produced hundreds of IOs that are worth 100 times less than the cost to produce them! Boy, did this badge really help the markets! And it only took a few weeks... during which... I couldn't play my character or any alts.
Flashback badges: Yay! I can do the same low level mission 5 times with different permutations of restrictions. And it only took a few weeks... during which... I couldn't play my character on non-repetitive interesting arcs... or any other alt.
Arena Badges: Yay! Setting up fake fights and taking turns throwing them. At least this didn't take days to accomplish unlike...
The PvP 400 Rep Badge: Yay! Hours and hours of setting up fake fights. All of which meant I wasn't playing my character or any alts.
So really, as much as I may agree not to like the Day Job Badges, I'm not getting on any bandwagon that doesn't prioritize the more drudging badges as the proper target of scorn.
(Badge count: 1170) -
It's synergy.

Quote:It was originally stated that the Alpha Boost wouldn't work at all below 50. At that time, it was bugged that it did work all the way down to level 39.Huh. I guess I missed that part.
I recall the thread I mentioned having people saying that the Alpha Boost turned off randomly anywhere between 44 and 49. Maybe the issue was how it was exemplaring, not that it did.
Then, somewhere along the way, it was announced it would work exemplared down to 45 and, eventually, the reality of the mechanics as implemented caught up with that. -
I've not seen that except for the two Incarnate TFs, in which case, they *should* be kicked.

[OP:]
I hear singing and there's no one there
I smell blossoms and the trees are bare
All day long I seem to walk on air
I wonder why
I wonder why
I keep tossing in my sleep at night
And what's more I've lost my appetite
Stars that used to twinkle in the skies
Are twinkling in my eyes
I wonder why
[Forum:]
You don't need analyzing
It is not so surprising
That you feel very strange but nice
Your heart goes pitter patter
I know just what's the matter
Because I've been there once or twice
Put your head on my shoulder
You need someone who's older
A rubdown with a velvet glove
There is nothing you can take
To relieve that pleasant ache
You're not sick
You're just in love -
This is why I live by /hideall and hang out in my personal base.

While your sound engineer can't please everyone, what can be done so that we can do self-customizations is to give us a tool so that we know which sound is playing. Just like /whereami gives us the name of the exact map, I'd like a /whatihear to return back the names of the sound files.
That would make it so much easier for us to silence specific sounds intolerable to us (and which others may enjoy).
Or, complete sound customization! -
All came out at once. It was on Test and it was so empty that my entering Talos triggered all three.

Quote:That was me.Three small purples? The Titan ate my scrapper's lunch but two purples took me over the soft cap (I have higher def to start with, hence me telling you three) and the only thing to harm me were the auto-hit fire patches.
Whoever counted the Castillo fights as three EBs, they most certainly is not. The first fight, you take him down maybe 25% and he flees. Up top, you take him down to half and he freezes the battles, says his stuff and makes his grand re-entrance at the same health you left him at. At most, he's 1.25 elite bosses.
If you're level 20 with only 10 inspirations fresh from Praetoria, then this does indeed count as 3 EB fights.
The first one alone can use up all your insps... and then how are you to fight him again with no more inspirations?
And when he pauses the fight, any insp or long term buffs you applied are now wearing off.
And then when you defeat him, you get an EB *ambush*. Not that an EB that spawns somewhere, it spawns on top of you firing at you.
This is a horribly overpowered mechanic for whom it is intended: Praetorians fresh out of the portal. -
