I have not seen it myself.
But, honestly... If I were a member of that team and saw someone denied/kicked from a team for that reason? I would leave myself.
Because those are not the kinds of players I particularly want to play with.
The only reason to worry about it is for the Incarnate TFs.

I have not run into this....it makes sense to advertise for a teammate with the Alpha slotted for the Tin Mage or Apex task forces; but otherwise it seems like a senseless reason to not team with someone. I can't imagine kicking someone from a team that did not have their alpha slot...if it was that important to me I would have asked them about it before inviting them.

I've allowed concept builds on my teams.
I've allowed petless MMs on my teams.
I have even taken a level 36 /regen scrapper on an MoITF.
I have kicked a billion inf invuln tanker jack wagon from my team because he cursed at one of the other players on the team.

In related news, I logged in my kin/dark defender to check his bids this AM and got hit with

which hasn't happened in a LOOOONG time.
Maybe people are still tipsy from their Christmas punch.

I should also mention that I haven't seen it.
And it's really not much of a concern.
Two main reasons... We choose who we associate with and how we act, react and stick to what we believe in and enjoy influences everything around us (don't be a part of the problem).
And it is not like IO builds only ever became a mainstay or problem or the norm in this game.
I've never been kicked or turned away because of my build or anything... And I generally play an Elec/Elec Blaster with nothing but Standard IOs.

Wow, that sucks to hear. Actually the bit that amuses me is that in it's current state the Alpha Slot doesn't even add that much power to a character. You get a much larger power boost from making a decent IO build than you do from having the Alpha Slot.

I didn't want to believe it until it happened to me.
Apparently, people are being kicked from teams/denied teams for not having an unlocked, slotted Alpha Slot.
Seriously? Where did the elitist jackwagons that decided to instate this bull@#$% come from? Did we get a migration from Freedumb? It's not even for the two Alpha-exclusive TF's, either; people are getting booted and denied from regular teams.
It's not like you can't run regular crap without the Alpha. Furthermore, the Alpha isn't a massively game-changing enhancement. At least, it doesn't have that potential at present.
Anyone else had this happen? Myself and about 8 of my global buddies have seen/experienced it so far.
