Anyway, Twilight Vixen, my Mind/Kin Controller just uses, "For right!!! (And I always am)"

And my robots tend to go with "$target has performed an illegal operation, and will be shut down."

Another one used by several of mine: "It's a good day to kick some butt... And $target is the butt."

And when me any my usual partner have our robots out together we pull a quip from Short Circuit:

1: "Robots kick their butts!" (dance3)
2: "Robots kick their face!" (dance3)
Both: "Robots kick their balls into outer SPAAAAACE!!!" (cheer)
  3. One big question...

Do these real world corporations "exist" in this alternate universe that CoH exists in? If not, then it would make absolutely no sense to be flashing their logos anywhere in Paragon City or the Isles.

Regardless, Pepsi still licenses logo tee-shirts.
Actually, they should be paying their customers and fans to wear those in public. If you want someone to advertise for you, you better shell out the $$ for the service.

The boundaries of oceania are defined in a number of ways. Most definitions recognize parts of austrialasia such australia new zealand and new guinea. and all or part of the malay archipe1ago as being parts of oceania. ethnologically, the islands that are included in oceania are divided into the subregions of melanesia, micronesia, and polynesia.

Oceania (sometimes oeanica) is a geograpical, often geopolitical, region consisting of numerous lands—mostly islands in the pacific ocean and vicinity. the term "oceanic" was coinded in the 1831 by french explorer gumont d'urville. the term is used today in many languages to denotes a continent compnsing australia and approoximate pacific islands, and is one of eight terrestual ecozones.

    Best I could do.
And here I thought Oceania was simply everything that was not under the control of either Eurasia or Eastasia. Er...which one of those two is Oceania at war with again?

    I would guess only .1% hermaphrodite, and 2% hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional energy being.
  6. Is it legal in this thread to post my own? (Only because I think they may be considered interesting...Hopefully they aren't considered bad bios.)

Anyway, I often just go for amusing short blurbs in the bio box (often something that tells a bit about their personality), instead of blabbing a bunch of stuff that would normally be discovered through RP.

    Some examples:

    Feisty Fawn...

(Think people might be able to tell that she is a robot?)

Major Morris Tormanin - aka Never-Moore

(Yeah, this middle-aged bloke likes Starship Troopers...the Movie.)

Never-Moore's daughter, Rachel - aka Twilight Dream

Never-Moore's brother, Fox - aka Pyrefox

(Okay, he does reveal his origin, unlike the others. Got three others that have more extensive write-ups as well. Only showing one of them after this, since I am still not 100% pleased with the other two yet...)

    Kilderon, the Snowbeast.

(Bio should be "heard" in an excited, yet earnest rambling tone.)

Ah right. The one I was thinking of is http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Force_of_Nature_Badge Force of Nature. That one requires the other Mayhem badges (just not the exploration badges) and is like Geas of the Kind Ones.

  9. Even if you do go ahead and buy a Raptor Pack from the vendor at Grandy's, you still may want to get the Atlas Mayhem under your belt anyway at some point in your career, since the exploration badge inside is needed for an accolade (the villain equivalent of Geas of the Kind Ones, if I remember right).
  10. Actually, Acrobatics does give mag 2 hold protection according to Mids. However, mag 2 is pretty pathetically weak and not all that useful (considering how expensive Acro is (requires 2 other powers and is rather endurance heavy).

Breakfrees are definitely your best bet (mediums are rather cheap). The only other viable solution is to get them before they get you. This is where having Devastation Hold Procs in your ST attacks is handy. Sure, you can't rely solely on them, but they do go off quite frequently and can make a difference when it's needed most.
  11. If you don't want to go through the hassle of using the market to transfer inf, I have plenty of characters on Protector who will be happy to help. Hero or villain?

No need to worry about being ripped off, since I am not a d-bag who would do something scummy like that.

That's why List/Buy is the order to do it in. That way, the only thing that can really go wrong during the character swap is that someone else might purchase the item first. Not likely, but it is a remote possibility. And not a big loss if that happens.
  13. You could get an outsider to help with the transfer (if your characters are on the same server). Otherwise, have the new character put up something with zero demand for sale at the consignment house and have the first character purchase it for however much inf the new character needs.

But really, it is pretty easy to build up funds fast on a new character.

Just go through the tutorial without slotting those enhancements or using the big inspirations you get. Sell the enhancements to a vendor and use the proceeds to cover the listing fee for putting up one insp at the consignment house (just list it for however much you can afford...best to use the big red insp for that), then use the proceeds from that sale to sell the other inspiration.

After that, don't buy anything until level 12 (instead, just use whatever insps drop for you and sell everything else you get at the consignment house (salvage and recipes) and sell enhancements to the vendors. TOs are not really that useful and you can get by without ever slotting any.

By the time you hit 12 and are ready to slot DOs, you should have a few million inf racked up.

  17. I finally got around to trying out Mids in order to plan out my Warshade's slotting. Here is what I have come up with (I will consider suggestions for refinements and tweaks of course...but the Hold and build up procs, as well as the KB Protection, Winter's Gift, and Stealth are there to stay.)

Anyway, here is how Twilight Dream is looking so far (ignore the fact that most of the IOs say level 50. Couldn't figure out how to set them to whatever I wanted)

But at least Lars Hanson's arc ends with you talking to Hess, so you don't have to go looking for him when you are ready to do his TF.
  19. Also, I highly recommend purchasing Architect Edition, as that will give the most bang for the buck. With everything it includes, it ultimately costs you negative $5.00.

Also, before purchasing any time cards, I recommend also purchasing Mac Edition and the Good vs. Evil Edition as well and upgrading your account with those. Those add an additional 30 days time each, and include a bunch of nice extras, and bring the net cost down to $5 or less.
  20. Just run missions from your contacts as always.

Not too long ago on Guardian, I rolled up a Stalker for the first time, and had no problem leveling him (He even handled Lt. Blechly (an early on EB) real easy. He got to 12 pretty fast, and has only soloed, never teamed. I haven't played him since though, just because I'm caught up with leveling my Warshade.

My only advice is just to simply be cautious and don't bite off more than you can nom.

Oh, and just because, here is my Stalker: Dark/Electric

    He's a bit of a lone wolf.
  21. Check your contacts list. Do you have any showing in the active window that you should have outleveled? If so, go talk to them. They are waiting to introduce you to someone else.

And don't overlook Nerva. Do a mayhem there and you should get introduced to Technician Naylor (highly recommended), Kelly Uqua, or Magus Mu'Drakhan.

Those are the level 35-40 contacts in Nerva.

    Mission help?

Oh, and just as a heads up, when you encounter Castillo the second time (it will be during Agent G's arc), be sure to read the clue you get after searching his desk. It's pretty hilarious (and has inspired my bit about one of the most prolific TV shows in the Isles being "The I Love Me Hour with Captain Castillo.")

That was the second big disappointment I experienced when I finally got someone with that mission. The first big disappointment was that it did just turn out to be a Raptor Pack. I was expecting something much cooler with a name like "Antigravity Matrix".

Heh. Well if Twilight Dream ever gets around to teaming regularly (she's 35 1/2 now and has teamed very little so far due to time constraints), I'm hoping teammates will be impressed by all these cool Tesla Cages that pop up around the bad guys at seemingly random intervals.

If anyone is interested, here is her current plan (next to each power is the initial enhancement and then the levels that more slots are added...actually includes the initial one there to show how many slots total the power will ultimately have. Lower half is the enhancements that go in the slots...)

This is subject to change as ideas formulate, but this is the plan for now. Of course, I will consider suggestions put forth. I may or may not implement those suggestions, but I will consider them at the least. (The Devastations, Gaussian's, and the Decimation procs are non-negotiable though, same with the Karma -KB and the Winter's Gift - Slow Resistance, which is in Shadow Recall)

Apply the code, make sure to log off(if logged on), then log into the game, and your new options will be available.

The booster packs have costume pieces, one has an 'aura' you can obtain at character creation. That being Super Booster I, Cyborg. In addition to the costume pieces, there are a few special powers, such as a self destruct power(AOE fire damage, auto-kill your toon, from Cyborg), a buff power that you use to buff other people(from Super Booster II, Magic), a Mission Teleporter power(Guess what it does? From the Mac Special Edition Item Pack(does not require a mac to obtain the item pack)), the mac pack also including the Valkyrie costume items.
If you want to save some money (and actually even come out ahead), then purchase the Architect Edition. That comes with a choice of either the Magic or Cyborg booster pack. Total net cost is negative $5, broken down thus:

    $20.00 - AE set
    -$10.00 - Booster Pack
-$15.00 - One Month of Game Time (which you would be spending anyway)
    ---------
-$5.00 - Net Cost to you.
