Special costume capes and shoulders.

Ok, this may be a dumb question but I just came back from playing for a while and I see people in sweet new costume pieces. I'm not talking about the ones from the veteran rewards, or the architect or good vs evil editions of the game. I see people with special capes with big collars and crazy designs and new hoods that match the collared capes, and really cool shoulders with wings and stuff on them. I have asked a few people and they say they are only for magic and natural classes but I have seen almost every origon, mutation, tech, ect, with these costume pieces. Does anyone know what I am talking about? If so please help me because I am loseing my mind with people saying they don't know.

The collared capes come from Super Booster 2: Magic. For the shoulders I think you've talking about the Valkyrie costume from the Mac Pack.

Thanks, I had no Idea they were releasing booster packs!

Somewhat related info that I just discovered yesterday.

Rolled up a new level one villain and knowing that I could put a Valkyrie or Magic Booster cape on him, I was looking over my options.

I had selected High Collar and looked at what capes I could add. I own both COH Collector's Edition and COV Collector's Edition and was pleasantly surprised that I could add either choice when using High Collar as the Mantle style.

Yep. You buy em over on the plaync website's store. It's actually a really simple and efficient procedure. Buy the pack, log into your CoX(PlayNC) account on the site, and it'll ask if you'd like your code to be applied to your account.

Apply the code, make sure to log off(if logged on), then log into the game, and your new options will be available.

The booster packs have costume pieces, one has an 'aura' you can obtain at character creation. That being Super Booster I, Cyborg. In addition to the costume pieces, there are a few special powers, such as a self destruct power(AOE fire damage, auto-kill your toon, from Cyborg), a buff power that you use to buff other people(from Super Booster II, Magic), a Mission Teleporter power(Guess what it does? From the Mac Special Edition Item Pack(does not require a mac to obtain the item pack)), the mac pack also including the Valkyrie costume items.

Finally, there's the newest pack, Super Booster III: Super Science, which enables you to visit special tailors in the tailor "shops" or the tailor in Pocket D, which will allow you to change body types(including height). I have a 5' tall little Japanese chick stalker who supersizes(as one of her costume slots) into a behemoth(Giant Body Type) wearing full body armor. It is her 'mecha body armor' for when she expects serious bloodshed.

Enjoy... just don't spend too much. I took my time(2 months) to buy all of the available item packs. But make sure ya have fun.

Also, check out www.paragonwiki.com and "Unlockable Costumes" and "Booster Packs" etc, for the details on how to spend your cash for maximum costume sweetness.

www.paragonwiki.com is a great source of information for this game.

And by the way, they're wrong about it being origin specific. Despite the booster packs being origin-themed, the stuff in them can be worn and used by ANY character regardless of origin, AT, level, alignment or whatever.

If you want to save some money (and actually even come out ahead), then purchase the Architect Edition. That comes with a choice of either the Magic or Cyborg booster pack. Total net cost is negative $5, broken down thus:

$20.00 - AE set
-$10.00 - Booster Pack
-$15.00 - One Month of Game Time (which you would be spending anyway)
---------
-$5.00 - Net Cost to you.

Similarly if you pay for your account on a monthly basis buying the Mac edition is better value than buying the Mac Booster Pack.
