  1. For future reference, if you prefer to not hunt in the streets and prefer to stalk easier Crey, go to work for Phillipa Meraux (one of your contacts should introduce you).

She gives out the Corporate Culture arc, which has a lot of Crey.
  2. If you are going to team, I would recommend it. However, as a Corruptor, don't worry about keeping everyone boosted at all possible times. You have better things to do. I mean, what is the point of a Corruptor having that Scourge inherent, if said Corruptor is not actively doing whatever it takes to cause that inherent to kick in.

As a Dark/Kin you are primarily a debuffer instead of a buffer. Just like as a Corruptor, you are a hurter instead of a healer.

And even back before the SSK system, if you didn't exemp down and ran it totally grey, you still got the temp power from stopping the robbery. The weapons raid temp power, on the other hand, required everything in the mission to be minimum green. Heck, considering you can hold a safeguard indefinitely, I will go as far as to say that it still requires everything to be at least green, since it is quite possible to still do a safeguard long after it has turned grey.

Also, I would be for this addition to the UI, for the record. But generally, if I see the recipe in question is selling in at least the 5 digit range, then it is most likely worth listing. And even moreso, it is worth checking to see if the crafted enhancer is worth putting up (provided it doesn't require an overpriced piece of salvage that would otherwise cause you to take a loss.)

Just in the very off chance that your question is actually serious (and in the not so off chance that some newbie reading this may not be aware of this phenomenon), allow me to educate here.

Here is Exhibit A, a crafting table showing how much one can expect to pay for a level 45 Endurance Modification recipe:

And now, class, we make a little field trip to Wentworth's for Exhibit B...

In this test, I brought up the same recipe and placed a bid at the price I would otherwise be able to purchase said recipe at an invention table.

Now, take note of what happened. Of the 131 that were up for sale, I successfully purchased none of them at the crafting table price. And though I am unwilling to spend my hard earned inf to prove my theory, it is a good bet that if one were to then do the bid creep, one would probably still fail to purchase many of those until the bid got up near what the highest of the last five show, and possibly even higher. Some may slip through at around the 200K point, but it is highly likely that the majority are listed at 300K or more.

Face it, going any amount higher than the table price is foolish. Claiming convenience is incorrect even. After all, to then craft the recipe into an enhancement, you should still need to get to an invention table. And at that point, you may as well wait and just purchase directly for the table price.

Thank you for your time. There will be a pop quiz on this after the break.

If you consider level 5 a sufficiently higher level, then that is fully correct.

The first Elite Boss you may end up encountering may be either Frostfire (heroes), or Lt. Blechley (villains), both of whom it is possible to get as early as 5. AVs start showing as early as 15 (Nocturne for heroes, and Dr. Aeon for villains. At least I think Aeon in Brass's arc can spawn as an AV if the difficulty settings are high enough and you have a full team...)
  8. Someone also has Large Hadron on Virtue. I'm surprised it hasn't been hit with the generic bat due to some clueless idiot petitioning it and the petition being received by an inattentive GM who misread the name.

(And no, that is not my character, I just checked a while ago when I thought it would be an amusing name to grab, and was only mildly surprised to find the name taken.)

Ha! My Plants/Energy Dominator is strutting around with 19 points of KB protection. 15 of those points were simply incidental in his quest for perma-dom (5 sets of Kinetic Crash), the last 4 are the Karma in Combat Jumping which I gave him for when he exemps far enough down to lose the K-Crash bonuses).

And once he does finally achieve perma-dom, that will add an additional significant amount of protection (can't remember what the KB protection mag is on domination at the moment though).

So yeah, That Nemi staff is not impossible to protect against by any definition.

Oh, and the OP was asking about the Nemesis Staff that the Fake Nemesis bots use, not the vet reward and temp power versions. The Fake Nemi staff is 9 points of KB, as was stated earlier, not 18.7.
  10. The Moonfire team (Task Force Nova) consisted of:

    Ashlar
    Crimson Image
Erif Noitaidar (hope I spelled that correctly)
    Greased Wheels
    Main-Sequence
    Therm O'Dynamic
    Zero Decay

That was the smoothest TF I have ever been on. We completed it in 1:25 plus change, and had zero casualties. Also, I can't really take credit for how well it went. The extent of my leading was just setting the missions and running the Fed-Exes (nice having that Nictus Fragment as a little souvenier). Otherwise, the team was pretty much self leading.

Sadly, I will not be around for the next 2 Fire Rad Mondays, due to having to take off for 2 weeks starting this wekend. But I will be back three weeks from now.

Aw, Belgium. I always thought it was a sperm whale, not a blue whale.

  13. So since 3:00 would be 1/5 of 15:00, and the base recharge is 16:40, then I guess that means no perma.

Ah well, that isn't too important, I just want to get the recharge down as far as possible so she can be flying about as a Wisp more often. Perma isn't really needed for that.
  14. Is it possible to achieve perma Light Form on a Peacebringer? If not, what is the least amount of recharge anyone here has managed to get on Light Form without gimping the build?

I currently have 5 assorted RES/RCH IOs and 1 RES/RCH/END in it, (which may possibly be wasteful), and that has brought the recharge without Hasten active down to around 8 minutes and 12 seconds. Haven't timed it with Hasten running.

Even if it turns out that perma is not possible, I would still like to get the recharge down even further, because plain and simple, my PB looks just plain cool in Light Form with her shields going. In fact, she looks like a giant Blue Wisp Pet, and I would like to be able to have her looking that way more often than once every 8 minutes (or however long it takes with 3 slotted Hasten).

Definitely not a MUD or browser MMO.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_lands

It is a full-fledged MMORPG for Linux, FreeBSD, Windows, and OS X.
  16. I suggest finding a way to compromise between Flares and TK Thrust by taking them both. Flares is essential for being able to be used while slept, stunned, or held. TK Thrust is just too cool looking to skip.

Plus, if you can wrangle the slotting, you can work a complete 6 piece Kinetic Crash set into it. This really makes your victim go flying, and as a side benefit, you get 3 points of KB protection, a decent little global recharge bonus, and a couple other okay set bonuses.

Fixed. I can solemnly attest to this fact, as me and my usual duoing partner's first level 50 villains were a Fire/Dark Corruptor duo. They turned the sewers, caves and Orenbega into Murderworld on their rampage to 50.

It is perfectly acceptable to say WoW here. That said, if comparing game populations, it is best to toss out the extremes and compare everything that is neither WoW nor whatever the lowest population game is as well (Eternal Lands perhaps). That gives you a better idea of where this game stands in comparison to the others.

There, I knew that statistics class I had to take years ago would be useful for something some day.
  19. Just going by creation date and time on patrol my 50s are thus (in order of first 50 through latest)

    Polar Peregrine: Archery/Ice Blaster - 2008-06-10 - 379 Hours
    Sonnenblume: Fire/Dark Corruptor - 2007-06-29 - 494 Hours
    Kilderon: Ice/Rad Controller - 2007-05-21 - 418 Hours
    Stellar Jay: Plants/Energy Dominator - 304 Hours - 2007-06-29 (50 a week or 2 ago)
    Twilight Dream: Warshade (Human/Squid) - 2009-02-04 - 321 Hours (50 a few days ago)

Most of those took much longer real time to actually get to 50 due to severe altitis and a few brief spurts of waning interest. Polar Peregrine was my fastest to 50; not powerleveled or anything, just a period where I had a lot of fun playing her. She went from Outbreak to Heroine of the City in about 6 months.
  20. Purple sets may or may not increase the character's survivability at 50. However, they do nothing for the greater majority of the character's career (aka, the first 49 levels). If you feel your character has low survivability from 1 through 49 due to not being able to slot purple sets, then perhaps the character needs rerolled.

Really? I'm not 100% sure on that.

  22. Currently 80 across 8 servers so far (not counting name holders).

My technique for getting everyone their anniversary badge was simple: 1 server per day, just like I do with Day Jobs. Exception is Champion, Guardian, Justice, and Pinnacle. I have so few on those servers, I go ahead and do them all on Friday.

  24. The Pool Power Invisibility also has a considerably higher endurance cost. Granted, both are over the 1.00 mark, but the Pool version is significantly over while Superior Invisibility is just barely over.
