I find that explaination rather crap as even if it's a client side issue, that means each client should be able to choose what they want running. There's an option to hide other player's MM pet banter, etc so why not a 'hide other player's VR, non-combat pets' option?

There's a post somewhere else that said the UI was fixed now if I remember correctly.

Noting that Z mentioned it in the eventual fixes pile, I would like a chance to mess around with these sort of things before it goes away. :-p

Quote:I was going to bring this up as I too recall using the Nofuture stuff before my first time away from game. :-pNofuture moved to http://tomax.cohtitan.com but the "content" side of it is not kept up to date (since the Titan Network hosts Paragon Wiki, a more thorough "content" site than nofuture ever was), only the "power data" side of it is (though it is currently a couple issues out of date because there are a LOT of things going on at the Titan Network right now).

which would be a copout because the pets generally don't really do anything that should create unnecessary load. I've bugged this and the fact that my normal pets stop following (won't even respawn while I was testing in base) if I jump/run too far away quickly. When I get back within poking distance they respond to my presense.

Quote:OMG, I think I'm going to be able to die now, they're working on Base Content!Today's beta patch notes yield, literally, a revolutionary update.
Base Editor: Free Vertical Placement and Rotation
Added the ability for players to move base objects horizontally and rotate them about the vertical axis freely.
While placing an object, if the player holds SHIFT, they can move the object vertically.
Once placed vertically, if they wish to move the object again and maintain the vertical placement, they can hold the CTRL key.
If they do not use the CTRL key, the object will snap to the first encountered ground the cursor is placed over.
If the player holds ALT, they can rotate the object about the vertical axis. -
Quote:This would be a really cool idea, but then that would give us the false hope that they're paying attention to Bases :-/Yes! People have been asking for that since bases were introduced.
I think this is the best bug ever, though I'm pretty fond of the humongosaurus zombies too. Or the ginormous player characters we used to get once in a while. That was a great bug. But the base coming alive and attacking you? Awesome. Like, Skynet test-bed awesome. -
Quote:If we are going to continue getting more choices for Incarnate powers (adding to the existing ones, not openning up the currently locked slots), then we Really need a way to breakdown the powers we've crafted. They cost us enough time/energy/inf/etc as it is and even with a related cost to break it down back into say components (not previous versions of the power), then that makes it this much a more enjoyable experience. Sure some will say that we can always Test/Beta this stuff, but considering tools like the TransferTool aren't accessible it makes that essentially useless.New Incarnate Powers
Ten new Incarnate power trees have been added! There are four new trees in Alpha and Interface, and one new tree in Destiny and Judgement. Visit Empyrean Michael to unlock the new trees, then craft your new powers with the appropriate Incarnate salvage!

No no, you are...don't you see the lightning?
And yes, for the whole 30 minutes I had to play the other day I had the UI issue, but a couple buttons later had it fixed. I stayed in base so I don't know if it's resetting on me or not. -

Wonderful guide, but is there a "For Dummies" version for those of us who have systems that the Game says can handle Ultra Mode, but enabling it creates FPS creep? I was thinking something along the lines of "setting features X to min/off and features Y to Max will yield minimal FPS impact while providing marginal improvement over Compatible/Performance modes".
...or should I just make a new thread with my sys specs and play the gfx settings noob? -
the Nem's secretly activated the Raid coding?

I still can't get the Forums to recognize my titan login. :-/

and for the love of CoX give use offline (with ability to synchronize) base editing! It Should reduce the crashing/load on servers and prevent other errors that popup when performing extensive base edits.

and don't forget their eye-popping icon fixes too!

If anyone needs them in the meantime, I have the latest copies of Sentinal and Mids (to say the least) if you need em. Just send me a PM w/ an email to send to. These are direct from Titan.com files that I archive and considering I JUST rebuilt this OS and Pay for my ISS, then I'll give a general assurance that they Should be clean.

Quote:I was just going to say the same thing (except I can't afford to host files) as I keep an archive of my downloads + a couple generations.http://spad.co.uk/mxdsetup1-952.exe
Usual disclaimers apply. Don't trust software from unknown sources. Has been virus scanned by me but that shouldn't mean anything to you. Will be taken down again once the cohplanner.com site is back up and running. -
Quote:WTH are you posting from? But seriously, it kinda makes me wonder how an essentially solo-maintained host can be worked on and updated (posting regular updates here) about ten times faster (atleast it seems to me) than other's that more than one body works with and more than one source of income supplies...UPDATE: (00:05 UTC Nov 05)
Okay, it's been a long haul today and I know I've been pretty quiet in this thread, but I think we're aaaaalmost ready to turn the rest of the sites back on. All of them except Faces are physically up and running on the new server, and they're just locked out to the public while we finish some internal testing and validation. We've run into a few snags with the synchronization of passwords between the Titan Key and our forums due to SMF changing their authentication mechanism. We might go ahead and turn the rest of the sites back on and just warn people that they might not be able to post to our forums until we figure it out. -
Quote:Game Dies + Hell Freezing Over == Titan Dies + TonyV's monthly bills go downThis is kind of odd, and I wanted to address it before any rumors spread too far or wide, especially given our activities this week. Someone PMed me today that there was chatter in-game that the Paragon Wiki is going to shut down in a year, according to the guy that created it. I don't know who they were referring to, but in reality, that would be me. I started the site, I currently own all of the domains associated with the Titan Network, and I am the lessee of the server on which all Titan Network sites--including the Paragon Wiki--reside.
Code:The truth of the matter is that this has never even been mentioned in passing as a topic of conversation. Not by me, not among any of our admins. I have no idea where someone may have gotten this idea, but it is 100% not true. If I put some gray matter to it, I could probably contrive some bizarre circumstances under which the sites might not still be up in a year (or two, or five, or twenty...), but it's never really occurred to me to try. Either someone's making stuff up to have a good laugh on folks, or there was a really bizarre misunderstanding. Maybe someone was talking about another site or something, I don't know. I haven't heard of any other sites that are worried about shutting down. So if you see anyone making this odd claim, please point them to this thread, or just tell them to search for TonyV's post with the word cwm in it, a Welsh word for a bowl-like valley (and an awesome play to make your opponent challenge your word and snag you an extra turn in Scrabble), and which I will only use in this post in order to make it easy to find via a quick search. ;) Okay, now that that is taken care of, I'm going to go play my crwth for a while.

I didn't see a good place to put this (and forgot the thread we talked about this in), but I just wanted to Thank you for adding the advanced graphics options on the loading screen. I've only just now got my system back up and running, but noticed That when I came home (let the game download while at work :-p). Nice to see suggestions acted on eventually.

Some?
Every thread I open has the individual postings extending to both extremes of my window. -
The number one reason I can see this being a bonus is them bringing out new things to slot like new Lore pets. what if I had Lore pet A created, but then they came out with pet B that I liked that much more (and would likely completely replace pet A). Now I have to go out and pay double to use one pet when it would have been cheaper/nicer to be able to trade-in/upgrade to the newer pet I wanted.
In my case it would more likely be something like I wanted to try out incarnate type A only to find out that I really should have chosen type C (for whatever reason). I now have X Billions of inf (that say may take my playstyle ages to recover) to do the same as above. I'd love the option, but it'll definitely have a cost related to it. I'd thougth about it before, but never remembered to post it. I'm sure some will argue "that's what test is for", but then I'll point to the number of Months that the transfer system's been down. ;-)
